Takua walked into the Pawn Shop with more than a little hurriedness to his gait...and he kept looking around and twitching, as if there were something going on that nobody else, including those right next to him, knew about. He did, though, smile as he approached the counter, eyes running over everything in the shop...and then stopped as he saw the Cosmic Truth.

"How much for the Cosmic Truth if I gave you a Lightbane in return?

"Well, don't you look like a hell of a mess. You've seen some life, monsieur. I think, given the Lightbane, I could let it go for...900GP?"

The Long Arm smiled. He'd like to hear this kid's story some time.

Takua considered for a moment...and then nodded, putting the Lightbane, and the GP, on the table. He'd have to get some money out of the Armory, but that was okay. He could live with getting money out of the armory. He grinned as he snagged the scroll and waved to the Long Arm as he walked out of the door.

"I can deal with a hell of a mess. Just means that I'm alive after all. Messy means that you're living life to the fullest. Sorry I can't hang around and chat, but I don't know how long the person who needs this is going to be on."

Heck of a lot better conversation than the ones that he'd had with Nizam, that was for sure. Maybe he'd actually, you know, enjoy coming to the Pawn Shop next time.
