Title: Inferno
Centrus - September 22, 2008 09:03 AM (GMT)
Take a look!We are encouraged to take part as a team. Who wants in!?
Locke - September 22, 2008 12:53 PM (GMT)
Mizu will definitely be along, Cent. Just make sure to add his name to the list.
Shenmock - September 22, 2008 02:05 PM (GMT)
Teishu will want in. ;D Yayyy...
Xantos - September 22, 2008 04:17 PM (GMT)
Matthias - September 22, 2008 04:30 PM (GMT)
You are asking if I want to take place in a quest based on The Inferno? The masterpiece of Dante? I'm already there.
Locke - September 22, 2008 04:36 PM (GMT)
As much as I enjoy seeing the enthusiasm for the event, there is one thing I'd like to point out to everyone before we go on.
| QUOTE (Uruvei) |
| Each team will have its own thread in which to post. Once the event opens (each team will respond to the same starting post in a thread created by myself or another Dynasty member) the team has a week for every member of it to post. Once every person has posted at least once, or once the week is up, a member of the Advent Dynasty will appear in your thread to be your guide (or "Virgil"). You must have at least three people to continue on, so if you had a team of four and one drops or has not posted by October 7th, the event moves on without them. From then on out, each new challenge will last one week, with the Virgil acting as DM to respond to player's attempts and to move the team on when the week is over, whether the challenge is completed or not. At the bottom of the Inferno, you will face the final boss! |
Note the italicized part. Since each challenge lasts for all of one week, we need to be fast. However, we can't afford to lose quality either. Now, looking at the recruitment and such, things haven't been... ideal for this time situation. Now I'm not saying that any of us are incapable of doing this, but I'm putting it up for everyone's reference. If you don't feel like you can keep up with the speed, it's understandable, though I want everyone to participate in this event. Please, consider this point, but don't let it discourage you, either.
Centrus - September 22, 2008 06:05 PM (GMT)
A lot of the recruitment delay was initially my fault. It was my turn to post for....a month plus. After that, there was some delay due to mine and Matthias's trip. Even though both you and Shenny will have other engagements, I have faith that if you two say you can do it, you will.
I'm in for this. If Matthias thinks he can manage the once a week limit, I'm glad to have him along. Same goes for Xantos and anyone else who wants in.
Xantos - September 22, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
'Course I can. Time isn't an issue, I can make plenty of time if I have to. Though it's gonna be a pain not getting quest rewards for it, heh. Oh well, at least there's prizes. By the way, did anyone notice the 3-4 team member limit? =x
Centrus - September 22, 2008 06:17 PM (GMT)
Xanny? There're TOTALLY quest rewards for it. The prizes are IN ADDITION.
>D
Yes, I did, and we're working on that whole nasty limit thing.
Xantos - September 22, 2008 06:33 PM (GMT)
Even if you're on another quest? I thought you could only receive rewards for one, regardless of the number you're on, events excluded.
Locke - September 22, 2008 07:09 PM (GMT)
Well, one issue at a time:
1) The team limits are 3-4 people, but we can have more than one team.
2) At the end of it, we get the normal quest rewards (unless you're in another quest) but then your team can also get EVENT REWARDS. Not anything like rares, but still some good stuff that we can get even if in another quest.
So, for prudence's sake, I'd suggest we start dividing up into teams. I think, with the number of people we have, we should start with two three-person teams at the beginning, and add to them if we get more. If both hit four people (which I don't really expect, or if so that we won't go over) we could always do a third team, if really necessary.
Matthias - September 22, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Sounds like a plan to me.
Centrus - September 22, 2008 10:07 PM (GMT)
I already have people divided up by their group strengths and leadership skills. We just need to get a few more clannies interested.
Shenmock - September 22, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
I get to compete with myself. =_=;
Anyways, you can rely on me, Cent! ;D I'll have to do two posts a week, but I think I'll be able to handle it... *pats Teishu* He can too~ 8D
Locke - September 23, 2008 12:18 AM (GMT)
Why would you have to do two a week, Shenny?
EDIT: Oh, nevermind.
gothic_christian - September 23, 2008 03:45 AM (GMT)
Goddamnit Cent this would happen to me  ...Tempted to particpate but as I"m in the middle of test taking for college I dunno, and I've not even thought about the fuckin' quest post...damn you all of you...*sulks* :ph43r:
Centrus - September 24, 2008 02:38 AM (GMT)
Viva mentioned earlier today that she might actually be in for this. This would mean we have...
Cent
Xantos
Matthias
Mizu
Teishu
[Viva]
In addition to this, we have a request from Raquar to join our team as well. I'm quite happy to oblige that, which would give us seven. We would have a team of three and a team of four. Judging by people's styles, commitment levels and leadership skills, I would divide the teams as follows.
Cent
Xan
Raq
----
Viva
Mizu
Teishu
Matthias
I think it would give the optimum chance for high rewards and the greatest chance at the bonuses if we split it up as such.
Thoughts?
Shenmock - September 24, 2008 02:43 AM (GMT)
It's definitely perfect. ;D
Yeah. I'm not arguing with Mr. Cent.
Locke - September 24, 2008 03:04 AM (GMT)
I only have one disagreement on the matter. In terms of power, the teams seem uneven, with both you and Raq on one side. My suggestion is something more like this:
Cent
Xan
Teishu
Matthias
---
Raquar
Mizu
Viva
That way we have a more even distribution of power. The first team has both the strongest and weakest, as well as a smattering of the middle range, giving a balanced average. The second team is more average altogether. In this sense, I think that this arrangement would be wise. And, in the event that Viva doesn't pull through, you can always give us Teishu to rebalance the teams.
gothic_christian - September 24, 2008 03:31 AM (GMT)
Hey now! *fails about*
I just got through some major test shit for school but I should be good for this one! And i'm a week ahead in english and tomorrow i'm gonna start getting a month ahead in history again! Don't discredit me just yet!
Centrus - September 24, 2008 03:45 AM (GMT)
Locke-san is now more informed! xD
So yes, anyone have any issues with the teams I set up before I sign us up for it?
Shenmock - September 24, 2008 04:32 AM (GMT)
Nope.
And Locke; you just don't want to be with me. :P Righhhhttt?
Matthias - September 24, 2008 06:06 AM (GMT)
Xantos - September 24, 2008 06:12 AM (GMT)
The only complaint I have is that there's still a disturbingly large number of objects that are not on fire. :(
Matthias - September 24, 2008 06:30 AM (GMT)
*Lights chair on fire.*
Better?
Centrus - September 24, 2008 07:24 AM (GMT)
Stop it. He'll like you. xD
Posting our team's sign up! This could change slightly for our team barring a PM from Uruvei-san.
Matthias - September 24, 2008 04:13 PM (GMT)
*Lights Cent on fire*
Better?
Xantos - September 24, 2008 09:16 PM (GMT)
:) Well, it's a start. xD
Teishu - September 25, 2008 12:13 AM (GMT)
Hopefully you can expect someone to put that out...maybe me, by chance...?
Or shall it be Mizu? :3
