][ This is Greil's profile V.1.3 ][

Basic Information

[1] Name of character- Greil

[2] Level- 2

[3] GP- 1,400

[4] Real world player- Adrian Willis Banks

[5] Age- 17

[6] Class- Twin Blade

[7] Attire- Greil has a very unique character design. He designed it specially so that people could pick him directly out of a crowd. He didn't know if that would be a good thing or a bad thing, but that is what he decided to do.

His hair is short and spiked. It's shorter in the back, but is scruffier and more spiked near the front. It is a solid steel color, with flecks of jet black stretching along the outer rim of spikes. It compliments his semi-tanned skin and perfect, unfaltering golden eyes.
He chose a rather "toned" body type, taking after his real world persona. He has defined muscle tone along his belly and chest, while the muscles along his arms are a bit less filled out. Long legs and arms stretch from his muscular torso, making him rather tall when looked at up close.

For clothing, Greil decided to go with the "Tarzan-ish" look. A simple pair of torn baggy black pants and a matching black shirt clothe his body, while other smaller accessories make him stand out. On each shoulder he wears thick steel plated armor wings. He wears a thin leather belt for sheathing his blades, and has a thin, spiraling tribal tattoo stretching across his exposed shoulder blades.

[8] Eye color- Light Gold

[9] Height- 6'1"

[10] Hair color- Silver, with flecks of jet black along the sides.

[11] Personality- Greil is your average, every day, all around nice guy. He is bright, knows how to crack a joke, enjoys life and is pretty much care free. Being this way, he takes a keen interest in battling and other female characters. A straight up macho man.

He has a temper, but only when someone really messes with him. He has a tendency to lose his temper when around pessimistic people, or people who do not like him. Though, he knows how to keep his cool and knows how to play a part well.

The Story

It was raining outside, and Adrian wanted to do nothing but sleep. His eyes fluttered open and immediately closed again. It was odd for him to wake up this early on a Saturday morning.
"Ahhh, shit." he said, sitting up. His thin T-shirt was plastered to his skin, sweat dripping from seemingly every pore on his body. He wished he had put in an air conditioner.
He walked a few feet to his bedroom door, glancing over at his computer desk as he went. The monitor was off, but the green light said that the system itself was booted up. He had forgotten to shut it down before he feel asleep the night before.
Can't wait to see the electricity bill. he thought, mentally kicking himself in the ass. He really needed to be more organized, or he'd be thrown out on the street.

The rest of the apartment was much cooler than his bedroom. He didn't know why and he really didn't care. Moving through the empty hallway, he headed for the kitchen, scratching his matted head as he went. Opening the fridge, he grabbed a cold bottle of water and popped it open, enjoying the coolness of the substance. He swallowed a mouthful and turned to the window, glancing out.
"Whoa." he muttered, shocked by the sheer amount of water on the busy street below. He was only two stories up, but he could see that the water level was above the sidewalks. Turning away, he went into the tiny adjoining living room and grabbed the television remote, pressing the power button. What he got didn't surprise him at all.
Fizzing, noisy, black and white static shuffled its way across the screen. He changed the channel a few times, but got the same annoying buzz. Turning it off and tossing the remote back onto the sofa, he crossed back into the kitchen, nursing his water bottle.

On his way back up to his room, he noticed that he had gotten a letter. Upon further inspection, he realized that it was a package, with something rather heavy Shaking . Sitting down at his kitchen table, he ripped open the manila package, surprised that it was not drenched. The mail lady must have used some heavy-duty packaging.
A game? A damned video game? Man, were his friends crazy. Adrian sat there, staring at the case. The box said 'The World' and was decorated with pictures of great warriors and foul creatures. A fantasy world, willed with computer nerds and guys pretending to be girls. What a wonderful place to be. Well, at least on a day like this one.
Shaking his head, he disposed of the empty packaging and went back up to his room. He might as well try it. His friends were always sending him stuff like this. CDs, video games, baseball cards... And he always ended up throwing them out. They told him that they would help him to unwind. He never believed them.

Today was different, of course. It was raining, it was a Saturday, Adrian didn't have to work and his television was on the fritz. He had absolutely nothing better to do than play this game. So, he decided to give it a try.
Placing the disk in the tray, he pushed it in and turned on the monitor. A loading screen popped up and he waited, his fist under his chin. He had a feeling that setting up the game would be very difficult. He sighed as a new screen popped up. Something about character creation. A tiny idea began to form in his mind. He grinned and began clicking.

Approximately an hour later, Adrian hit the enter key and sat back. He plugged in the special goggles that had come with the game and slipped them on. Not really knowing at that point what he was in for, he waited as another loading screen came up.

Adrian found himself smiling as the game took over. It felt good. Really good.
