Wind.

The field in front of him seemed to roar at him with the never-ending wind that came from the sky. The wind had to be over fifty miles per hour, maybe higher. If someone wasn’t careful, they’d be flung into the wind and would probably injure themselves. It was a diminutive one with few trees. Those that were still up were leafless, almost dead. The roots that dug into the ground were weak, meaning that by the end of the battle, there would probably be few trees left to use in battle. Crumbled buildings are scattered about the field, though they’re of not much significance. It’s, in reality, just a plain that’s undergoing a storm with high winds. There are dark clouds above that threaten to make rain, but most players will realize that rain will never come.

His hair was a white blur as he came into the field. His costume was swept up in the wind and his bangle almost soared off in the wind. His shirt flung its way around and his sheath rattled with the wind. A tree collapsed in front of him, blocking the path between him and his opponent. Teishu was a bit nervous about the duel at hand; he was facing a Long Arm. Even if his opponent was level one, a spear could easily overpower a blade if the person had enough training. This person was level one, meaning that it would be easier. Still, when it came to fighting, he was pretty bad at it.

The wind picked up a little, making his hair come in front of his face. He shook his head to get it out of the way, but it continued to go in front of him. He turned around to face the wind and felt one foot slide back on the ground. So, the whole basis was to try to get on the side of the wind so you could speed up and attack your opponent. If you were on the wrong side of the field, you surely weren’t having good luck. So, it seemed that he was on the wrong side of the wind. Well, that’s not a huge deal… I’m two levels higher than him. Still, that’s not the biggest level difference either.

He called out to his opponent. “So, Chronos, ready for our match?” He pulled his scimitar out, only to see it waved about in the wind. He kept a firm grip on it. Letting it go would really show how clumsy he was. “I’m pretty new to ‘The World’ myself and dueling, but I’d like to say good luck to you. May the best man win!” He put himself into a battle stance. He sure hoped this guy didn’t have any tricks up his sleeve.
