Ladies and Gentlemen of the Army of Darkness,

There's going to be a massive change going on, I've thought this over carefully and I've spoken with Sasuke about it as well. Because of RL circumstances that will be taking place and that are taking place right now and due to my lack of ability to do what's best right here and now with and for the Clan, I'm stepping down as both the temporary Commander in lieu of Sasuke's deployment and as Second in Command of the clan itself.

As a result, Sasuke and I both agreed on my demotion to Sergeant Major, in essence, I'll be more of an advisor and the social go-between when it comes to Clan Alliances and such. More of that is IC than OOC duties but, it's perfectly acceptable and more than reasonable in my eyes. This doesn't mean I'll be leaving the clan or becoming inactive on Divergence or inside the Clan in the least; it means I'm stepping down and letting someone who can and will take care of the clan the way it needs to be taken care of.

After talking it over, it was mutually decided between the two of us that Ko_Inuyasha will be succeeding my position as temp-Commander and as O-4/Major, the Second in Command of the Army of Darkness if he so chooses to accept this position.

Ko, I'll be sending you the information that Sasuke gave to me, fairly important details about how to promote people and the like. Sasuke's open for questions as well, just PM him on either site and he'll get back to you as soon as he can. Otherwise, I'll do my best to fill the role as Advisor and find out what you need to know.

The time spent as your temp-Commander and as your Second in Command was fun you guys, be sure and take care of your new co-leader now, he'll need the AoD's support even if he says not. XD

Greeting fellow Soldiers,

What Sekai says is all true; she has stepped down due to RL situations. The transfer of authority, if Ko_Inuyasha wishes to accept, is effective immediately. He will become, in essence, my voice to you while I am gone. Ko_Inuyasha will receive a posthumous promotion to that of O-4/Major, while Sekai will step down to the rank of our first E-9/Sergeant Major since I served on the enlisted side of the branch. Her duties, as she stated prior, are to serve as basically a liaison between our enlisted and the officers, as well as from clan-to-clan. If all goes well, better relations may ensue from her role as the advisor and representative of the Army of Darkness.

But this isn't all that the said change entails. Out from the ashes of this burning fire will rise one more who may lead our soldiers. As I have stepped out for the time being and hence handed my powers as the Commander to Sekai, and now from Sekai to Ko_Inuyasha, this leaves many positions open. Sekai, having been the Second-in-Command, is now our Clan Advisor; Trent, formerly the AOD Recruitment Officer and Squad Commander of the Phoenix Ravens, shall now take Sekai's role. Which brings to question, who will fill in the position as the Squad Commander of the Phoenix Ravens, and furthermore, what about the Recruitment Officer position?

I'm glad you asked! With our current change in structure and transfer of authority happening, other transfers of authority will also become of this. There is a need for an able body to possibly step up, rising up from the ashes as stated, and cross into the Officer ranks. That's right, applications for promotion to the Officer ranks is now officially open for all to apply!

What we're looking for is another great leader; one who can learn from his or her own mistakes, and one who will listen to his or her subordinates. This person needs to have an open mind, able to understand where others are 'coming from' and open enough to be able to test and understand an influx of new players. A creative imagination is rudimentary, and furthermore, the ability to LEAD is a must! Your application may be in any format you like, though I ask that you post it on this forum (as a new thread all in itself) and you state your name, level, class, time served with the AOD, time served on divergence, and furthermore your unique qualities that would make you our new Second Lieutenant. In-character responses, such as posting quests pertaining to your leadership ability and creativity, is also a necessity. Treat this as if you were applying for any further rank or promotion. And do make it easy on the eyes; those who apply that cannot write well and cannot make a good resume shall be turned down almost immediately. Give it some form, some character if you will! And don't hold back, remember, this application is a fight to see who will be the next Officer among us.


But wait... that STILL isn't all! I have seen that there are many E-4's around the AOD as of late, but still Staff Sergeant Takua and Sergeant Raquar are the only NCO's (outside of Sekai, that is). I would like to also see some work done towards gaining more ranking members of the clan. The AOD isn't called the 'ARMY' of Darkness for nothing, as a clan that pertains mainly to a real world Army it also needs structure and RANK within it. Though, this is partially my own fault for not promoting any of you, you should also take it upon yourself to try and get those promotions because it is, in all entirety, YOUR rank. In past rank systems, each promotion was given due to a certain number of levels earned; now, your rank is earned, it is an accomplishment. Even the E-1's and E-2's and E-3's have the ability to promote, but it will never happen if you aren't proactive and taking the bull by the horns. You've got to work for yourselves sometimes, we cannot give you everything due to sympathy because you haven't promoted in a while. Go, gain levels, quest with friends, lead, follow, destroy, bring peace, and promote! Earn your rank and make a name for yourself, an NCO in the Army of Darkness! Positions will be open for those who can achieve NCO ranking as well.

That is all that I have for everyone now. I'll ask that no one responds in this thread other than Ko_Inuyasha with a reply/consent to this transfer of authority. And Ko, a nice introduction as the interim Commander would be nice to see, it would be very 'becoming' of you, that is, if you do consent to this necessary change. Most of you know me by Ko_Inuyasha or Ko. I joined Divergence in January of '05 after fighting my way through the registration process for somewhere close to a month. Since then, I have taken challenge after challenge in Divergence with slow progression. Nowadays, I'm a level 30 Heavyblade that is probably tied for the highest subs level. I'm not the best nor the greatest, my strength probably comes from pigheaded stubbornness. I've just become the second-in-command of the AoD, unexpectedly I might add, and though I accept the position whole heartedly, there's a lot that I'm hesitant about. I know a lot of you better than others, most of your characters I don't keep up with, and some of you don't do anything in the clan. I'm caught between positions of understanding and zeal. Though the beginning may be rough and misunderstandings will occur, I want you all to know that I don't make a decision without thinking things through and consulting those I trust. What I do with this new power will be for the good of the clan and not to serve my own personal agenda; no matter how selfish it may appear on the outside. Please believe that I was trusted with this position for a good reason and that I intend to do good things with it.
