Locke - March 19, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
"Veni, Vidi... Doodly?"

Something like that. I don't think they had the word "doodle" in Latin... >_>

Lol. I'm still doodling, actually. Coloring is sort of difficult on these things. -_-

NEXT TIME TELL SOMEONE WHEN YOU ARE COMING IN!!!!

I WILL GO IN WITH YOUU!!! haha

Stane - March 20, 2008 02:22 AM (GMT)
I added color to 'vei's picture ^^. At least I think it was her's. It looked like her style.

Belisaria - March 20, 2008 02:41 AM (GMT)
I have made my contribution. And it was epic.

Uruvei - March 20, 2008 09:05 PM (GMT)
What, the cute ram-girl with the birthday hat? That was Chases'. (Chase's? Chaseses'? xD)

Centrus - March 20, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
Using a trackpad on that thing is the fail.

DRAWING RIGHT NOW

Uruvei - March 22, 2008 04:18 AM (GMT)
We all attempted to migrate to openCanvas, but it took a while for everyone to download oC 1.1 and Hamachi.

For future referance:

FXOmniCrest - March 22, 2008 04:46 AM (GMT)
Someone remind me never to attempt to use Hamachi without actually opening the Hamachi connection first <_<

Uruvei - March 22, 2008 07:42 AM (GMT)
So yeah. openCanvas doesn't do well when you're trying to have more than three people total. It tends to crash a lot and stuff. >__<

Clickeh to see the pretty picture!

FXOmniCrest - March 23, 2008 02:48 AM (GMT)
Nice, you actually finished it :) I was wondering what it was going to look like...

mrkaz - March 23, 2008 07:56 AM (GMT)
I've been using Tegaki E D:'' it's easier for me to keep up with things since i'm not on a lot..
if anyone's on tegaki >D

I'm looking to buy a tablet, but am not quite sure of what I can get for less than 100 dollars. Is a hundred still going to get me a decent one that will allow me to draw well and all? I'm not sure if it's one of those deals where everything is crap unless you spend a lot of money. I hear Wacom is good, so I'll probably be looking at those. Here's a link I found for reference:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&ke...9&creative=9325

Thanks guys :D.

Chase Raven - March 25, 2008 02:04 AM (GMT)
I have a little tablet experience cause people give them to me/sell them to me for cheap/I use the assorted ones at school sometimes.

I've used a few different brands, and Wacom is by far the best.

Here's the ones I've used:
Blue Graphire-- I owned one of these for a short time, and it worked well. Mine was a refurbished tablet. I got mine for $30 from someone because his brother was going to jail, I think he said they bought it for $100.
Silver Graphire (Not sure if there's any difference from Blue, other than the color?) I've used these in school, it's what the computer lab has.
Big Intuos is what I'm using right now. I like the Intuos better than the Graphire, it's a little less jumpy.
Adesso Tablet. Used one of these for a short while, I paid a lot less for it, and it broke after ~6 months? It's cheaper than Wacom, but I've had my Wacom for over a year and haven't had any problems with it... you get what you pay for, I guess. :\

If you want to spend less than $100, go for a refurbished Wacom. The small (4x5 I think they are) Graphire ones are like $115 I think? There aren't any listed on the official Wacom website right now, though. ):
Their "Bamboo" ones are selling for around $80 on the official Wacom site. I haven't used one, so I don't really know what they're like, but they look cute and you'll probably be satisfied with it.

LONG POST. 8D

mrkaz - March 25, 2008 10:48 AM (GMT)
i had a graphire for my first tablet. it lasted ~2 years. now i use a big intuos. *less helpful than chase* XD;;

the bamboos do look cute <3 i've seen them advertised in photography magazines and other places. don't know if there's anything different about them other than being cheaper and probably less efficient than graphire/intuoses. i think they're just a way to get more people hooked on tablets. .__.'

Stane - March 25, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
Uruvei said that her Ruby one has lasted her for years, so I think I'm going for the Graphire. Thanks for the help :D.

>3 Hahaha! I have drawn Locke as a girl! ...On P-chat...Ah well. I need to learn to use OC...it's blowing up my brain. @.@;

If you'll excuse me, that's Satan at my door. He's coming to take me to hell for doing this. >3

FXOmniCrest - April 18, 2008 02:58 AM (GMT)
anyone feel like organizing a paintchat meeting? As I've learned from previous experiences, they're more entertaining when there are more people >_< I say tomorrow evening. If you catch this post before the sun falls below the horizon, then, respond! Get on AIM! IM people! BECOME GROUPIES >_<

And then we'll find a suitable place to put paint all over the place on  (mebbe the site that I had suggested we use last, mebbe we try opencanvas with multiple hosts and keep AIM alive, or perhaps find an even newer site/app. :) )

EDIT: Augh, something came up yesterday. Oh, but no one posted, so I'll assume that I missed nothing >_<

Uruvei - April 19, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
I'd love to do one anytime I'm on. :B

^ That's the paintchat application I want TESTED AND READY TO GO!!! It looks like it can hold more people than opencanvas, so, yeah, dl it, test it, etc. IM me. yadda yadda. If you can't figure out how to use it AFTER YOU'VE GOT IT RUNNING, ask me or maybe uruvei about it. If you haven't even gotten it started, then ask me. If you refuse to download it, tell me so I can make you download it and try it >_<

Ooh, yes, I was just hearing about this from some peeps and interested in trying it out.

Who wants to draw with me? I can't stop drawing the Hivebent trolls, but doodling with other people seems like it would be really fun. :D
