Title: Spectre
Description: Who you gonna call... GHOSTBUSTERS!

Sekai - January 9, 2008 01:41 AM (GMT)
Meeting/Briefing area for the Spectre squad.

Sekai - January 9, 2008 05:03 AM (GMT)
Spectre,

Greetings, Major Sekai here, also the Operations Officer and Second in Command of the AoD. Consequentially, I've also been appointed your squad commander and will be leading the missions we're assigned. In case I'm unable to do my duties or I'm out of commission, your orders will come from my Alpha and highly trusted second is First Lieutenant Zan. He will aid you in the event that I'm unable to. Sergeant Raquar shall make the third, second if First Lieutenant Zan is unable to make the meetings, of the group 'in charge' and is considered our specialist when it comes to code encryptions and the many riddles that hide information.

This group, Spectre, will be focused primarily on gathering information on our enemies, training on how to support one another and compliment each other's abilities, and in the worst case scenario; we will be forced to employ specialized and pre-discussed and performed retaliation and recovery strategy. Our group is a combination of Field Intelligence and what the military calls ParaRescues. We're trained to go in and rescue another squad, medically assist them, and also trained to be as silent, swift and efficient as possible when performing our duties to gather information on the enemy's movements.

After the Army of Darkness' Clan Quest is wrapped up and some loose ends on all our ends are tied, we will be meeting for our first training session out of four to six. Should these go well and quickly, we'll be able to progress to our first mission that will, in time, eventually lead us into the third Clan quest.

Please state what you believe your most valuable assets are to the group and what you specialize in; both combat wise and outside of it so that I may get a good notion of what I need to work on and what will be fine as is.

Alright Spectre;

I've got an idea, if the Advent Dynasty agrees to an IC suggestion, I'd like to take us out and have you guys practice on gathering information in different places.

If the suggestion works? We'll likely be server jumping from Delta to Theta to Lambda and having fun in that. If they don't agree, well, >D we'll be server hopping anyways because I'll be setting some stuff up on the side lines for you guys to practice on.

Locke - March 9, 2008 03:06 AM (GMT)
Sounds good- I get bored between EC posts 'cause SOMEONE *coughTeishucough* won't post in my secondary quest, so I need something to do from time to time. I can't wait for this to begin. >3

Shenmock - March 9, 2008 03:54 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I'm ready for all that stuff. Bring it on. I'm ready for anything.

Locke: Stop arguing about posting and such. If you don't like it, leave the quest and do a solo. If you want to wait for me to actually get some time on my hands...then I'll get to it. S'yeah.

Magras - March 9, 2008 05:13 AM (GMT)
Sounds good. I need some IC interaction with the AoD and AD peeps.

Takua - March 9, 2008 05:44 AM (GMT)
*speaking for Ruikage*

He'll join in just fine. I'll get around to making his skills list eventually, just not now.

Just alright? You're breaking my heart here man! :(

Sasuke - July 7, 2008 05:37 AM (GMT)
It has come to my attention that the Spectre squad is having difficulties deciding how, when and by whom their Squad quest shall be handled. I've also been informed that there is an unofficial 'poll' to be had through PM or IM or whichever that entails deciding between either Raquar or Kiwi as far as who shall be leading this event.

Freindly or not, choosing 'sides' is a sure-shit way to break down a team and turn them against each other. The worst possible thing that could happen to a team is to become divided. I understand that there has been a small problem with the fact that Kiwi came to Sekai with a Squad quest idea and that she accepted the offer and has authorized him to proceed in taking this squad out on the quest that he designed. Personally, I don't understand why there is such a problem with this that a few members of our great clan have decided to nearly back out of our iFamily as of late. It makes no sense that, because of a lack of ideas and when an idea finally arrives, some of our members want to pick and choose between each other to see who should 'rightfully lead' this squad quest. Rightfully, the Squad commander, Sekai, should lead it, but for the mere fact that she authorized Kiwi to do it since it was HIS idea in the first place then you must understand that Kiwi should be the one to lead this quest.

It isn't something that should you troubling your decisions to participate, it shouldn't even effect your will to play here on divergence, and it most definitely should not cause you to contemplate dropping off of the AOD's personnel roster either. Simply put, if there is a better idea out there then make it known. If an outsider, though a member honorarily, can come up with a creative squad quest for something that he isn't even really a major part of then I am sure that our very own members can create an idea just as well or even better than his. Ranking up from leading the Squad quest shouldn't be a part of motive, not even for levels, it should be for the fun of it. You should motivate yourself by thinking of how much fun you can have by setting up so many plot twists; or a chain of events that leads to the ultimate demise of the 'bad guy', or you could motivate yourself by creating an idea that could throw the entire squad for a loop! I assure you that it is not as bad as it seems to be lead by someone who isn't even officially a member of the clan; Kiwi has been around for years and years and has personally lead his clan, as well as many others, on arduous but exciting quests!

So in all, this 'vote' between Raquar and Kiwi, 'who should lead the Squad quest', should come to a close shortly. Simplified, just post some sort of description of what you intend on questing with the squad. If there is a better idea then go with that, otherwise don't fight about it. This place needs no arguements between its' members, especially those from the AOD. Our clan is one of the most powerful and prominent of clans on Divergence and, in my opinion, even better than those teams and clans on other RPG's as a whole! Come together and lead the way of the future.

Sincerely,

-Sasuke of the Blue Sky-

Raquar - July 7, 2008 07:14 AM (GMT)
Putting it as a vote is a very biased and blatant misinterpretation of what is occuring. I have asked a question as to who they would rather see lead the quest. It's not a taking sides bullshit or something else. You already know my stand about the whole Clan-leading-clan idea, as it has been expressed in the Main Thread.

Since there has been huge amounts of miscommunication in the clan, I had thought about leading the Spectre quest. However, after thinking about it more, I've come to the decision to ask the members involved in the quest who they would rather see lead it, i.e. who they think would do a better job and therefore create a more enjoyful experience for the team. The reason it was sent out as PM or IM because it was a personal question that I was taking into consideration as to a decision I made, and didn't feel it necessary to become so attention-seeking public ordeal which you have made it into quite nicely Sasuke. There is not choosing sides, this side or that side, and since we're all about clan-togetherness, I fail to see how it is wrong to ask the opinions of the members involved, especially since that is what upset me the most about the whole ordeal in the first place.

It isn't a poll, it isn't a vote, I'm asking the members what they think is better for them. I fail to see how this is a bad thing, or how it would split the clan apart. I mentioned that there would be no offense taken on my part, and I would imagine not much if at all taken on Kiwi's part seeing as he's a rather decent individual. However, my personal convictions have been stated, I believe that rather large clan events be held by full-fledged members of the clans themselves. Kiwi has to run the SwordBreakers as it is, and I believe his attention should be focused on them before us.

However, if your so set on Kiwi leading it because Sekai as leader appointed him to it, that's fine, however, it would've helped if there had been some communication as a team as to what was going to happen, instead of suddenly springing it on us. If the idea had been broached to us beforehand, or had we known Sekai was going to delegate, this entire situation would be much easier to handle.

So do what you will with your poll or vote or whatever it has happened to be labeled. This in itself is a huge ideal of the miscommunication within the clan as this could have been easily handled within a PM instead of recurring into a topic. I'm trying to handle this as maturely as possible and I figured the best way to do that was on an individual basis, but I see that I was perhaps mistaken. My apologies.

EDIT: For the record, I never asked to be scratched from the personnel record, I asked if there was a way to remove myself from the rank ladder. I expressed a personal interest in remaining with the AoD, and pointed out that I enjoy the clan, hence why I'm still here. The fact that people are wandering around with the wrong idea isn't necessarily any one person's fault, but it might be advised to fix some communication problems within the clan before we go pointing accusatory fingers.

Ko_Inuyasha - July 8, 2008 10:32 PM (GMT)
I get what you're saying about communication Raquar and it's something I intend to change. To start:

Sasuke asked for you to reply with a plan for Spectre Raq. Tell us what you would do with the squad if you were in charge and leading the quest.

Magras - August 5, 2008 12:30 AM (GMT)
After about a month I'd like to ask where we stand on the Spectre quest.

The_End_Cypher - September 16, 2008 03:32 AM (GMT)
Is a Spectre quest going on currently, or will one start soon?
