Arriving at the dueling field for his fight, Baron surveyed the area. It was a large arena, nearly 200 feet in diameter, and it was filled with obstacles in various shapes to prevent players from charging at each other. It was an area designed for strategy, not for brute force. The obstacles were scattered all over the arena, erratically placed without any pattern.
Normally, this kind of arena would stump any spellcasting player, since melee fighters would have to climb up or go around obstacles while wasting precious time. However, it worked wonders for Baron, whose Twin Blade agility allowed him to leap from obstacle to obstacle without a moment's pause. He did a quick warm-up to test this theory though, running a few laps about the area, getting a feel for where everything was.
It was midway through his third time through that Baron caught sight of another player gating in, a Wavemaster by the look of things. He ducked down behind a squarish-shaped obstacle, hiding behind it to see what his opponent would plan out, assuming that he didn't know that Baron was here. Any advance information could save him a world of trouble. It was time to fight.
(( O.C.C. Ok then, i'm sure it has quite a few grammer mistakes, but i'm a noob with out MicroSoft word so cut me some slack, and bare with me. ))
All of a sudden the black screen faded into multiple colors, and I was in someplace new. I slowly opened my eyes only to find my self face to face with a Giant blue wall. The wall stood about ten feet high, and stretched out to be about three yards long. I looked around at my surroundings to see a rather large open space with more of these walls. Some smaller some larger then the rest.
''Now what do I do?'' I thought. ''If I walk out into the open to explore the arena he will spot me with ease.'' I took two steps, and I was at the edge of the wall. I leaned over just a bit, just enough to see if anyone was out there, but no one just more walls. I quickly retreated to my safe area behind the large wall. ''Has he arrived yet? Or is he just hiding?''I leaned over the side of the wall once more just to make sure that no one was there. Still nobody. I Took a quick look to the right, and noticed another wall. This wall not as big, but just big enough to be able to hide behind. I took a couple of steps back to prepare to jump, quickly I leaped trough the air and became airborne for all of one second.
''Argg..'' I said as I hit the rock hard ground. I landed on my knee's, they were bleeding a little now, but it wasn't a problem. I whipped the blood off with my pointer finger and stuck the finer in my mouth. ''Mmmmmm..'' I said to my self. ''Blood is so good.'' Once I was done tasting my finger I decided it was point less to walk into the open arena just to get attacked, so I rested my head back, and closed my eye's. ''I'll let him make the first move..'' I opened my eye's and looked up at the sky. ''God.. I really have to go to the bathroom.'' I gave a slight chuckle, and continued to wait.
Watching as his opponent arrived, Baron immediately began planning tactics. He got a good look at the Wavemaster's athletic ability during a jump- it stunk. The guy apparently wasn't going to be moving much, or if he did, he would be forced to move among the obstacles, leaving him open to an aerial attack, or better yet, a strike from behind. Baron had figured out the layout of the area, so he could catch his opponent offguard when the oppurtunity came. Yep. Everything was falling into place.
It was obvious that his opponent was waiting for him to make the first move, since he hadn't struck with a spell of some sort yet. He was a level one Wavemaster, so for certain he had Juk Rom, Gan Zot, and Repth. But then there were a few abilities he could have based on the weapon he had chosen from the start. So there was a small factor of unpredictability, but Baron was certain that the odds were in his favor. It was time to strike.
Leaping up from behind the wall he was hiding behind, Baron used the momentum from his jump to run along the wall at a faster rate than usual. Picking up speed as he went along, Baron arrived above the spot where he had last seen Tsukuyomi appear. Leaping down, he landed in front of the Wavemaster, using the element of surprise to attack. Slashing twice with his Spark Blades, he aimed his strikes for the Wavemaster's arms, hoping to make him drop his wand and prevent him from using his spells.
Following up, Baron leapt back on top of the walls, using his time to duck behind another wall, he analyzed his location in the maze and planned out another part of his strategy. If he kept up a hit-and-run strategy, he could take out his opponent without even breaking a sweat. That was, assuming that all went according to plan...
