2.25.2007: New Assistant, Nizam!
Effective immediately, a new face will be helping to manage the Pawn Shop. His name is Nizam. Here is a statement from him:

| "Well, people of The World, I'll be another face of the many that seem to be passing through the Pawn Shop as of late. Hopefully I'll be there to stay, but one can never know when CyberConnect will call on me to help them with other things. For now, I'm hear to offer you those pesky items you've been searching for but can't find, good trade-in deals, and an all around pleasant shopping experience. Keep this in mind when dealing with me--" [Vocal change.] "...and me. A member address will get you that much closer to what you need. Don't expect me to just give things away, as my mental colleague might lead you to believe. Come prepared to bargain or come prepared to lose money. Either way, I have fun. Can I leave now?" |
2.26.2007: New Policy!Starting now, a new policy is in place here at the Pawn Shop: entirely optional, but meant to prevent the loss of nostalgic items. This policy is called "Item Holding." Through this process, you can have us hold items you want held in reserve so they won't just disappear during restock. Here's how it works:
- For specific items, the customer requests the service.
- The buying price of the item in question is cut in half by us (because it's going to be that much harder for us to sell). In turn, the selling cost of the item will be doubled in the stock, and it will be red-flagged.
- During restock, the item is guaranteed to stay in place. It will remain until someone pays the list price for it.
- If a customer wishes to hold an item on reserve for later, they can pay half-price for it so it won't disappear in restock. In turn, its stock-list price will double, but it won't disappear during restocks.
- Any customer purchasing the red-flag must give their user-address to the clerk managing the deal.
