Ko_Inuyasha - January 28, 2007 05:16 AM (GMT)
Commander's orders? As if that'd be all it took for a guy like Ko_Inuyasha to step up in the arena. No, Ko_Inuyasha was doing this for his own reasons. He wanted to fight Sasuke of the blue sky for the simple and denouncable reason of proving his strength. Ever since joining the Army of Darkness he had done everything he could to advance as far he could as fast as he could. He took on any job that was available and did it to the best of his ability each time. Even now when he has finally attained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant he still desires to rise higher to a greater rank.
A curious questioner might wonder that if he was doing this simply because the one he was so closely tied to in "The World", Sekai, had already attained Co-commander status. The answer he'd reply would be a simple, "No." Ko had come to terms with Sekai being so succesful and was happy for her. He grasped power not out of jealousy, spite, or need to better than a girl. He grasped power simply because he wanted to be strong. the only effect that such strong people had effect on him is that he just had to try harder.
Ringing into the field by the common golden rings of the game, Ko_Inuyasha gains a nostalgic essence from the field. It had been a long time since he had been in the dueling arena and by chance he had chosen the location of one of his last duels. A towering scafolding of bamboo poles and wooden planks. Even the time of day was coicidently simular. The sun had not quite begun to set but the orange and red sky was beging to set fire to the fading blue sky above and out.
Taking weapon hold, the Devil Blade. A weapon he hadn't even bought himself. It was a weapon left over from when he removed Trent from his body and sent him to what ever hell awaited a program in this world. It's power was aligned to the waves of Gan and Vak, bonused with the Skill Drain attribute. It was a good blade, a strong blade. The image hack of Tetsussaiga layered over the weapon's true form. Ko_Inuyasha didn't like changing swords every time his level took a significant leap and he required a stronger weapon to keep up. He much more preffered the lie of the image hack telling him that it was still the same weapon growing stronger as he did. Afetr all, he'd need all the strength he'd need going up against the Blademaster Commander of an entire guild.

To challenge ones Commander, it must take a lot of testicular fortitude. Surely the challenger must have a reason to put on such a task! Surely there is a goal to attain from this task! A person would not try to fight their 'Boss' and think that they'll achieve some sort of greatness! No! Instead they'll fight their boss for pride, or maybe to just believe that they have achieved some sort of feat. Sadly, what Ko_Inuyasha did not realize when he challenged his Commander is that his Commander had defeated his commander before him in a duel much like this one.
No healing items, that's just too bad, now isn't it? Only one weapon? Well, that kind of screws up the whole strategy that Sasuke uses most of the time, switching from weapon to weapon. And just one set of armor each, that doesn't really make Sasuke an upset individual. All of this simply allows him to have a blast with this duel. A duel with his newly promoted subordinate, Second Lieutenant Ko_Inuyasha!

I Challenge You Commander Sasuke! We duel the a tower of bamboo scaffolding with planks and poles. No healing items, one set of armor, one weapon. |
Sasuke read a post in the AOD mansion, he had just ordered that each person in the clan pair up and duel, but he had no idea that he would be challenged by one of them! Sasuke had thought that he and his Second-in-Command would end up paired together due to the lack of interest from other players to fight the two of them.
"Should have said no items all together... He has no idea.."
should have said no armor and no spells!
"Shut up!!"
Sasuke shook his head in what seemed like agony, but he was just trying to negate his darker side from coming out at this current point in time. He continued cleaning up what bit of rubbish he was dealing with in the mansion prior to the duel, Sasuke moved slowly out the door of the mansion and headed through the streets of Mac Anu to the Chaos Gate. He had received the message from the system Moderators that the duel was set and he should report to the chosen field immediately. Of course, Sasuke needed to finish up a few more things, such as smartly choosing what armor and weapon he shall be equipping before the event were to kick off. Not to mention, he needed to purchase a few more items prior to the duel, he had learned from his duel with The_End_Cypher that he needed to show up ready for anything.
Sasuke headed to the Magick shop and purchased his few items and then swiftly came to the Gate where the fight would be awaiting him on the other side. Today there was no need for his flowing red cape, for fear that it would become torn and tattered.
"I wonder if Ko realized that I changed my appearance a few days ago...”
He pondered for a moment as he initiated the sequence for the Chaos Gate. His new outward appearance seemed more futuristic than the rest of THE WORLD, but those were the benefits of having a "Character Modifier" package sent straight from Japan all the way home so that he may change his appearance for a low, low price of $24.95 plus shipping and handling!
"No matter, he'll find out soon."
The invite that he had opened in his messages had logged in the different keywords without Sasuke opening his mouth. Instantly, he vanished and came through a data stream where he could see only letters and numbers in a garbled array, and all the colors of the rainbow. The only other thing that Sasuke would come across, and any other player would come across, is the white light at the end of the tunnel.
Maybe that white light had significance? Usually standing for transitioning from life on earth to life in another realm, it's no wonder that it is used in THE WORLD as well. To take someone from one point of THE WORLD and transport them to a whole new place that isn't even comparably related to the last, it would be something like the transition from life to death. So maybe there was significance, but it didn't matter at this point in time. There in front of Sasuke stood his comrade, Ko_Inuyasha, whom he would have a duel with today.
A scowl came across his face, and then he stood up straight. Sasuke had landed atop a high rise of scaffolding made from bamboo and layered with wooden planks. He walked to the side to see how high he may be, and noticed that he was quite a ways up. It was rather nostalgic for the seasoned Blademaster, this rise seemed a whole lot like that of the Theta Server's ROOT town, except a lot less mountain and a whole lot more bamboo!
"Ko_Inuyasha, I've come in regards of your challenge. I accept your terms, and I accept this duel. I find it only fair that I let you know what I am equipped with, as you have told me what you are equipped with. My list from head to toe is; Cursed Head Dress, Wyrm Hide, Gaia's Gloves, and Aqua Guard. I'll be utilizing the 7 Star Sword as my weapon. Are you ready to begin this?"
Sasuke stepped back from the edge of the platform, he'd need a few more feet of ground so that he was not launched off the scaffolding in the case that his Heavyblade opponent used an explosive attack to begin with. The platform that Sasuke stood upon was rather large, something like a 15 foot radius and in the shape of a circle. Sasuke put on his game face, he withdrew his sword and withdrew a certain item from his satchel, a Speed Charm. He had always been taught to start out slow and end with a bang, this seemed opposite for this fight, he did not need to underestimate his subordinate. He posed to his fighting stance, and braced himself, the first attack would come from his opponent!
“Let’s go!”
Ko_Inuyasha - January 30, 2007 04:23 AM (GMT)
Echoing ring effects and small display of golden glow signal a turn of attention from the structure to the opponent. Even though it didn't exactly look like the commander last time they spoke in person, it was fairly close. The light armor and blue clothing gave a sort of ninja appearance if not then the look of a light weight infintry unit from some old game that the current game systems don't play. A common blademaster form too, a short and mid width sword. Ko had attack and defence on his side since he reached level 19. Being in this field once already also gave him territory advantage and if he could play the cards right, he might be able to take speed and set the pace of the battle. The only thing a Blademaster ever really had over a heavyblade was magic anyways and the experianced crimson robed warrior had grown smart enough to only use scrolls for his spell.
"To respect your choice in telling me your equipment. I'm using a Devil Blade, Cougar Bandana, Grand Armor, Wristbands, and Mountain Guards."
Just like is commander he too removes a speed charm from his inventory and powers up his speed and agility with it. It was always the heavyblade's tactic to push up his speed to hit his enemy as hard and fast as he could. Is main objective was to end any fight in as few slashes as it took. He had stamina to concerve and Player vs Player battles never turned in his favor if he took too long fighting them.
"Let's Go!"
Simultanious with his commander, he too screams out the starting challenge. Unlike Sasuke of the blue sky, Ko_Inuyasha wouldn't take a defencive stance any time this battle, he planned to mow his opponent down. His massive heavy sword smashed into the plank that supported both their weight, breaking into splinters easily. To take his opponent in mid-air where gaurding is difficult was his goal. He leaps from the crumbling area with his weapon drawn to his side for a horizontal slash against the enemy.

We don't go down so easily....
Sasuke awaited the strike and when it finally came he raised his arm, holding the 7-Star Sword vertically, and blocked the attack as he fell through the ever-breaking platform. It was a good first attack, but not good enough to stop Sasuke from blocking, but maybe that's what Ko wanted was for Sasuke to block?
Sasuke caught a glimpse of a sturdy pole of bamboo and reached for it, he grabbed on and swung around it. Ko's attack had been negated by Sasuke's block and now it seemed like it was Ko that was falling through rather than Sasuke. He had held on long enough and spun twice around the pole, it was then that Ko_Inuyasha passed him by, falling through the shattered pieces of the platform. Sasuke let go and started his own free-fall towards Ko, who had turned around in mid air to possibly drop back into a flip and land on another lower platform.
There was scaffoliding all around the place and smaller platforms around as well, it wouldn't be too hard to jump from one to the next and continue assualting each other, which means that this fight needed to be quick before his opponent could take on the higher grounds. Sasuke had a level advantage on Ko, 3 of them infact, not to mention that the Blademaster class is naturally faster than Heavyblades, and even when the two have Speed Charms, it still gave Blademasters a slightly larger boost than Heavyblades. With the added effect of the Speed Charms, the fight itself would just become a more fast paced duel than a lengthened battle. It was like a Jet fighter as compaired to a Propellered fighter, one had a greater advantage over the other.. but which one would that turn out to be?
It was time to attack, there was no need in use of skill points just yet for Sasuke, instead he would counter-act with the same type of attack, a horizontal slash at his opponent while falling towards the ground. The difference between Ko's attack and Sasuke's attack is that Ko_Inuyasha's attack was with a larger two-handed weapon at a slower pace but with a bigger punch to it, and Sasuke's attack is with a smaller one-handed weapon that is higher paced due to its' size and Sasuke's class, but it doesn't pack as much of a punch even though the sword is a level 21 Blademaster weapon.
Now then, what is it that Ko_Inuyasha will strike back with??

Ko_Inuyasha - February 1, 2007 06:59 AM (GMT)
Rather than leap from the unstable ground as most would do, the seasoned commander of the Army calmly waits for Ko's attack. There wasn't anything the heavyblade could do while in mid-air, it was that reason that he wanted his opponent to enter the sky as well. Going through with the attack was the only choice with hope that he could over power Sasuke with a non-stance attack. His sword swipes true and powerful with his arms a torso putting as much as they can into trying to topple the blademaster over but, it just couldn't be done with out his feet having something to push off of. Sasuke remained calm through out the entire struggle, unflinching in eyes and stance while Ko was concerned about his inability to fly.
His feet dance about underneath, trying to grab hold of anything to stand on but finding no such object. Sasuke seemed to have it planned all along though. He easily reached out and grabbed a bamboo pole while his crimson robed subordinant went into a free fall beneath him. He works hard at regaining his balance and bearings so as to not crash through the next platform. Two simple tacking sound effects from his feet planting onto the wood and the heavyclass had manage to not cause an even greater fall.
His commander on the other hand took the fall with ease since it was on his terms. He even had enough time to show off with backflip before his landing. Off his landing feet he shoots straight into a forward lunge for his enemy. Like blue streak he smashes his steel against the solid red player. Their steel sent sparks flying as the razed each other in the struggle.
"I'm not going to fight at this snails pace!"
While holding gaurd, the Heavyblade withdraws a Fire Tempest scroll from his kimono. Ko too becomes a blur with his Ap Do spell and rushes to the inside of Sasuke's attack. The sparking weapons shoot off tiny lights of fire, bouncing off of his child like face while he tries to shove the spell against the blue ninja's chest and ignite it.

Sasuke - February 1, 2007 11:10 AM (GMT)
I bet that reminded you of a little bout with Ryok, didn't it Sasuke?
The inner voice spoke inside his head, but he had no reply, instead he cringed and lunged his body backwards in flame. He would take full damage from that attack, given that it was dealt at point blank range, but the next bit of damage would come from the Ninja to his red-clad subordinate. Had he only decided on using the Gakaku rather than the 7-star sword, this fight would have been half way over already.
Sasuke did not lose his ground from the explosive attack that Ko_Inuyasha had dealt to him, he was merely sent backwards and fell into a back flip, pushed his free hand out to brace himself, and rolled into a backward hand spring which then landed gracefully on his feet. There was no time for the 'Tah- Dah!' or any other word or phrase to signify that what he did was easy to accomplish, his opponent was so brash to finish this fight before it was too late for him. Sasuke only needed to get to close range again before he regained the lead in this fight, and since Ko_Inuyasha is a Heavyblade, close range is about all that Sasuke's opponent can withstand.
A reason why Sasuke hadn't become a Heavyblade in the beginning than the Blademaster that he is was because Heavyblades are slow, and while their force will dominate a field over all, a Blademaster has a little less force but a whole lot more pace to make fit for himself. Because of the level gap between Ko_Inuyasha and Sasuke, Sasuke had the upper hand in strength, speed, magic, and not to mention that he has been playing in THE WORLD for over 3 years straight now, so the difference between classes didn't even matter.
Of course, Sasuke hadn't expected the Fire Tempest scroll to be placed on his chest plate during close quarters combat, it still didn't change much to his plan. It was a minor dent in his HP, it may now be just below the 500 mark, but it was definitely no percentage off of his HP. This next attack, though, may leave a rather large mark on his opponent though.
He lunged forward to his opponent, his sword to his right in a strike-ready position. When he came in range for the reach of the hacked image of a Tetsaiga, a sword from some old TV show, Sasuke feinted to the left and dragged his sword across the belly of his opponent. He seemed like he was going to run straight by the Heavyblade, he started to murmer something as he came by, but then skidded to a stop and flipped backwards and landed to the right of Ko_Inuyasha and finished off his phrase.
"MeAni Kruz!" was the complete sentence. The spell cost a few points, 20 to be exact, but if there was one thing that Sasuke had an over abundance of, it was definitely his SP.
Sasuke allowed the darkness-type spell to converge on his opponent all while moving back and hoping off the edge of the platform. There is another platform just underneath where they had stood, this was Sasuke's next foot hold. It was rather unlike Sasuke to use a darkness-type spell, his favored element was the Earth-type. His hopes were to catch Ko_Inuyasha off guard, but regardless of what the outcome of this strategy will be, Sasuke will keep his calm and not allow the inner darkness come to the surface. That would only lead to more danger to himself than his opponent....

Ko_Inuyasha - February 2, 2007 05:05 AM (GMT)
A "snail's pace" might've been what the heavyblade actually wanted to stay at. He pushed harder against Sasuke only to find Sasuke could push alot harder right back. He moved like a twin blade through the vanishing spiral of flames but, Ko had fought twinblades plenty of times before and kept his eyes peeled on him. In ninja fashion he came up close and took his sword firm while comming in from the left. No, the right! It was too late, the heavyblade brought his sword up to strike the left only to take a clean sword swipe against his stomach. He was making it look easy to dance circles around his clan subordinant.
A fresh spray of blood splatter escapes from the fairly tone abdomen, staining the off green\brown wood below him. It wasn't a serious wound, looked much worse than the stats would have it. After all, Heavyblade's were second best at handling melee combat and he was clad over in heavy class armor. It tickled his Hp, or rather stuck it with a few needles. It was Sasuke's next move that would be the real hitter in his arsenal.
"MiAni Kruz!"
A level two darkness spell, casted with out care for the victim's current recovering stage. Several amounts of adult head sized orbs of darkness magic manifest around their target. For a slice of a second that feels like an eternity they linger before crashing on the red robed warrior. A cloud of smog and miasma large enough to cover of his body clouds his vision a second too late to prevent him from seeing where his Blue Sky commander was retreating to. A drop of silence gets broken out by the excessively loud battle cry of the Heavyblade. The miasma get ripped apart along with the board he was positioned on. Flames break free from the conflicting air, destroying oxygen and wood alike as they flap wildly about their master and his sword. His hair wildly twists behind him as Ko_Inuyasha breaks the board beneath him with his foot and lunges down at his commander with flames spitting every which way from his weapon.
"Level 2 Commander?! KANNON!"
Kannon, a Shogasho type attack infused with Vak element. It's a level two heavyblade skill and the strongest move in the warrior's arsenal. Totaling up to a total of 40 heafty skill points in cost, it made up a 3 attack combination, each as strong as the last, to destroy it's master's enemies. The firs that Ko would be using was an air breaking horizontal slash preformed in mid air. Should his Commander defend and hold his ground the heavyblade will bounce off of the weapon and attack from the opposite side. Should he not, his heavyblade foe will surely slice him in true heavyblade fashion and continue with his brutish manuevers on the ground. Wether the second attack was preformed on the ground or in the air, wether Sasuke was able to block one or two, the finaly attack was quite possibly the most deadly. He'd be landing either way for it and be taking straight to the mid-air fashion again. The third attack was always a forward flip towards the enemy. At the high point of the flip's arc, the sword gets brought outward to the sky above it's user and brought down with death blowing force.

Sasuke - February 3, 2007 12:09 PM (GMT)
"Level 2 Commander?! KANNON!" Ko_Inuyasha shouted as he fell through the boards and what scaffolding held them. Sasuke had dropped off the side of the platform that the two had just faced off on and fell to another platform just below.
"You missed!" Sasuke shouted.
The ninja-esque Commander of the Army of Darkness had already placed himself on the defensive side after he hopped off the initial platform in the first place. Since Ko started off the attack while in the air and Sasuke's feet were surely planted on the wooden planks, he missed the first swing around, and when the second came to Sasuke he had already moved back far enough to get out of reach but he still was hit by the tip of the blade. What came next was rather different in a duel, a negated attack. Two level 2 fire techniques canceled each other out because...
"VAK CRACK!!"
...is also a level 2 Fire technique. Sasuke's sword lit in flame and he raised it above his head and struck Ko_Inuyasha's sword for a block. It was a neat way to use an attacking technique as a defensive pose. The outcome from the two techniques striking was minimal damage to either player, except Sasuke took a little bit more seeing as Ko had slashed him a little with his own firey blade before the two struck swords.
He still wouldn't let up though, Sasuke was a go-getter it seemed, or atleast that's what others may believe. He needed to put the hurt on his opponent, but the first thing he needed to do was make sure that his attacks weren't going to hurt him. There was only one way to do so, and Sasuke had it perfectly planned out!
The ninja slid back on the planks and moved to the side once more, what Ko_Inuyasha may not have known was that one of Sasuke's pieces of equipment had a wonderful technique named 'Dek Corv', and that was about to be the next move that Sasuke would make. Again, he was at the edge of the platform, much like he did when he used the darkness-type spell. Sasuke waved his free hand and then pointed his fist at Ko_Inuyasha, a dark glyph form above the players head while Sasuke chanted the name.
"Dek.. CORV!" he shouted to climax, he was about to make his last portion of the move planned. Sasuke waited as Ko_Inuyasha's Physical strength was reduced to such a low level. He hoped off the edge of the platform just as Ko looked back up at him...
He had the same plan as last time, draw Ko_Inuyasha down to a lower level and then attack! He knew that Ko's attacks would do near absolutely no damage now, and all he could use was maybe 2 more magic spells until his SP ran out and then the game was his! Sasuke still had a little over half of his SP left, and he still had many spells to cast in the case that he needed to. His plan was two more attacks, when those two are dealt, a third would finish it off.
This will be over soon...

Ko_Inuyasha - February 8, 2007 04:47 AM (GMT)
The colliding fire attacks shot waves of Vak waves every which way, catching small fires on the wood all around them. Ko had used the strongest skill a Heavyblade of his level could've and only managed to hit par with Sasuke's level advantage. Bouncing off of the skill clash, the bare feet of the crimson covered heavyblade skid against the smooth wooden board with defined squeeks. Though trying his hardest to keep the pressure on Sasuke, it was Ko that was actually feeling the grind from his attacks. The last show of power really took a bite out of his Sp and Sasuke's constant ability to break away at the end of each melee confrontation was putting the heavyblade in the spot to make the first mvoe each time. If it dragged on like this Sasuke would shortly gain the upper hand.
"Dek Corv!"
Distracted in thoughts of a possible lose, Ko let himself get his attack power knocked down a notch. A dark mist emitted from a character over his head, reducing attack power while it made it's way down his body. Had it not been for the mountain boots the clan provided him with, this would've been more trouble than it was already. Now he'd only be burning more Sp to try and keep pace with the Commander.
"Don't think me so weak! Ap Corv!"
From the floor around his feet brims a bright white light that layers over and covers the visual effect of the Dek Corv. While it becomes a brim around his whole body, his P.attack stat climbed back to it's normal level. Beathing heavy by now, the avatar was feeling it when it came to fighting Sasuke. Though it was his MiAni Kruz that did the most damage, the physical damage was stacking up as well. He'd love to take the time for a La Repth but knew that if he was to take the time to recover, Sasuke would too.
"No choice, La Repth."
A blue aura wraps over his bloodied and Ani infeted wounds, relieving the damage from his body and restoring his Hp a heafty 150 amount. More than enough for a heavyblade to recover tons of Hp and lose nearly all of his Sp. Cracking his neck in renewed strength, the heavybade come to the conlusion that he was fighting this blademaster all wrong. Sasuke was an experianced player that has risen to the rank of a Clan Leader. He even has enough status and respect in his clan for Ko and the rest to call him Commander with no orders to do so. It was time to start fighting Sasuke on an information level, not just keep swinging a huge sword and hoping to pin him down with brute force.
"Come on Commander. Let's see what you can do now."

Sasuke - February 8, 2007 06:51 AM (GMT)
What’s he doing…?
Sasuke was hanging onto a piece of the bamboo scaffolding underneath the ledge he had just hopped from. His sword was in his right hand still and he was holding on strongly with the left, waiting for Ko_Inuyasha to jump off the same ledge and attempt to attack this Blademaster.
Sasuke heard a slightly muffled Ko_Inuyasha calling out his attack name, but it wasn’t an attack, hell, it wasn’t even a magic spell to send down to Sasuke. It was an ‘enhancing’ type of spell; something that would help him out in the long run.
Sasuke rolled his eyes and continued with his grip on the piece of bamboo. He could hear his opponent saying something that sounded like Ap Corv, which would completely counteract his last technique to drop his physical strength down a notch or so. And what was that?
“La Repth” the red-clad warrior stated.
Is this guy serious!!
Sasuke’s inner demon was speaking to him in his head. He was screaming for some action! But aside from the inner darkness of Sasuke asking if Ko was serious, Sasuke too was questioning the fact. Was Ko seriously healing himself in the middle of a fight? He is seriously healing himself! This is a close quarter’s combat type of deal and he is healing himself. Sasuke thought to himself, questioning himself…
Is there time in a battle like this to actually heal yourself?
Hey! This is my domain, don’t you come in here!
“Shut up!” Sasuke said, he looked up at Ko_Inuyasha through the slats of the wooden planks and hollered in a fit of anger, “DEK CORV!!”
Sasuke reached up with his right hand, still holding the 7-Star Sword. His grip wasn’t so great with that hand, but it didn’t need to. All he was going to do was reach in his satchel and grab any scroll he could find and summon it at Ko_Inuyasha. He was still in close proximity, so aiming wasn’t a matter of the fact. But here was how it went; Sasuke reached into his bag and grabbed the scroll, Green Gaile, he then removed his face mask so that he could bite down on the scroll so that he could use his free hand to help pounce into the air so that Ko_Inuyasha was in his line of sight, then throw the scroll at him and watch the devastation take place as he fell to the next flat of wooden planks.
So that’s just what he did, starting with his mask, Sasuke pulled it down to reveal his rather handsome face, not bragging or anything. He then quickly reached into the open satchel and grabbed the Green Gaile, which he had perceived in grabbing only a moment ago. There wasn’t much time left for him to get that free hit in. Ko had used two enhancing/healing type spells in a row, one to counter Sasuke’s last move, but the other would leave an open spot for Sasuke to attack and be unconfronted! The second Dek Corv would take that place, but now it was still very time constraining for Sasuke to possibly get a surprise attack on Ko_Inuyasha.
He grabbed the scroll! He bit down on the rolled scroll and grabbed the bamboo bar that he was holding onto. They were only separated by a few wooden planks and maybe a foot or two of free space with bamboo scaffolding in the way, nothing too big that the Dek Corv would miss, and now was the move to decide on. His muscles tensed in his arms, he flipped upside down and put his feet onto the bar of bamboo that he was holding, he swung around it to where his feet were atop the bar. Sasuke face was level with Ko’s feet, but only for a split second when he saw the Dek Corv spell finish its casting. Sasuke leaped up from the bar of bamboo and threw the Green Gaile scroll at Ko’s feet!
Quickly, he replaced his face mask and brought his sword into a defensive position as he knew the next thing to come would either be a sword or a scroll in his general direction. He looked down for only a second to see where he could land, the scaffolding underneath him that Ko_Inuyasha may have thought Sasuke had hopped down to was still in range and underneath him. It was a good trick that he was playing, but would it work?

Ko_Inuyasha - February 19, 2007 06:29 AM (GMT)
While Sasuke was in a blind spot from the planks being in the way, Ko left his crimson hitoe top behind before taking off. Sasuke was strong, experianced, agile, it become obvious that Ko just wasn't going to beat him head on and needed to change style. He'd let the blue ninja pull off his combo on a decoy while he ran off and lept from plank to pole to plank to get the field on his side once again.
The blademaster was on a role and showing what just might be his true fighting style. He was mixing attack reducing spells with attacking spells. Not only was Sasuke attacking the heavy class weakness of low magic defence but he was also aiming to break Ko's strongest attribute. Just watching Sasuke fight was enough to rid any doubt that could exist in his skills. Lucky for Ko that he figured out fighting him directly wasn't going to work in time and took to running.
Even though he went about it the long way, Ko had made it under his commander's location just as he was finishing up his two spell combo. The Hitoe over coat that he usual wore flapped off in the wind, torn and pierced with barbed vine and broken brush and Sasuke was crouched down in a defensive position. He was smart to expect his subordinant to attack instantly, up until now that was exactly what he had been doing. This time Ko would be hitting him with an actual military maneuver that the military man might actual enjoy fighting against, gorilla tactics.
Taking a series of parchment talisman scrolls marked over with Vak wave characters from his hakame. Fanning them out infront of his smiling face, he lets two of them fly at Sasuke's location before leaping backwards down from his platform to a bamboo pole that he grips onto with his free hand and feet. On contact with the platform, the scrolls ignite into flaming tornados that twist against each other and colaps over where the defense stanced A.o.D Commander should be.

Sasuke - February 20, 2007 10:04 AM (GMT)
shit... he came from below!
It was to his luck that he was in a defensive and observant state before he steadied himself on the planks. He glanced down and saw a little motion, and made a double take to see that it was Ko climbing up from under his position. It was to his surprise, or possible demise, that Ko had thrown two scrolls, both named 'Fire Tempest' at the ninja-like Commander of the AOD.
Seriously?... okay, no more games now...
Sasuke shot back and dropped off the side of the scaffolding. It was too bad that Ko had released both of the scrolls at the same spot and left Sasuke that inch of space that he needed in order to get away. Still the flames singed his fingernails, and maybe a few stray hairs and some thread from his outfit, but only that minor damage was taken.
Now the field would take a new design, instead of high rises of scaffolding, it was now BURNING high rises of scaffolding, or atleast this one was. Sasuke knew exactly what to do, in his real world experiences he had come across a lot of this in his military training, so his player brought it to the character and as such he would counter attack with his own counter fire. That was the way that you take care of the bad guys hiding in the trees, you blow the shit out of it!
"Ko_Inuyasha! You have three seconds to get out of the structure before it collapses, in which case, you'll die!"
Sasuke waited, standing on that same plank that Ko had just moved off of, the same one that he had attacked Sasuke from. Sasuke held his Seven Star sword in an offensive stance, knowing that if Ko didn't lash out of him in a moment, then he would destroy the entire tower of scaffolding...
"Three!!!!"
He waited still, looking from left to right, scanning the area.
"Two!!!!"
He yelled rather boisterously, he lowered his eyes down to see if he could find Ko jumping out of the scaffolding yet, but saw no such thing. He always watched his '6' because it was what he was trained to do, and when he was just a regular member in the AOD he would always take the rear so to stop an assault from behind.
"ONE!!!!"
He brought his sword out to the right side of him, Sasuke turned and faced the inside of the scaffolding and saw the light on the opposite side. He grabbed a scroll and placed it in his belt line because he would probably be needing it here in a moment, took one step back from his current position and sprinted off and jumped into the structure.
"GAN SLASH!!!!"
No, he was not attacking Ko with this one, he was attacking his surroundings. He had seen it down many times before, a player would run through some structure that looked a lot like this one and would cut it down from the inside and get out just in time on the other side and watch it all come tumbling down. It would be like a domino effect! It would all be over in a minute, Sasuke's sword shined a green color, Earth-type techniques were his specialty, and he dashed through and chopped down each main branch of the bamboo that held the structure up with one great slice!
When he made it to the other side, he had gotten out of the structure just as the top portion collapsed ontop of the area that he had just swung himself through. It was all coming down, and if Ko didn't get out of it in time, which he only had a few more seconds of time left, then he would be crushed by the weight of it and die. Even if he didn't die from the weight of the bamboo and planks, the fire burning on the top of it would surely leave quite a large mark on him, permanently scarring the baby-faced demon-dog.
The fact of the matter is that Sasuke knew that Ko_Inuyasha would not be defeated so easily, but now the both of them were down on camoflouge and there was no more hiding to be done. It was now a fight with iron, paper, and however much SP they can gather.
"I'm the AOD Commander, I don't get caught with my back turned. Remember that!!"
Now he stood on the ground since he rode the collapsing scaffolding to the ground, safely hopping from one piece to the next when they became too dangerous to stand on. Sasuke grabbed the scroll in hand and watched all over the place; his body was facing everywhere he was looking, that way if he were to feel like he was about to be attacked, ninja's have that kind of ability, he would simply tuck and roll out of the way and possibly take minimal damage as he had been taking for the most part of the entire duel.
"I propose we have a show down!!! One more move each! I'm calling you out, young Ko. No armor, no items!!! Just you, me, and our swords!! Let's go!!"
Sasuke felt like a western movie tonight, this was the final scene. One move for the two of them, each, one final move to see who had what it takes to beat the other one. Sasuke held his sword back in a defensive posture, since he was uncertain that Ko would agree and continue in his guerilla tactics. Which would it be...

Ko_Inuyasha - February 21, 2007 04:46 AM (GMT)
Rising out of the ruined battle field, the heavyblade's half torn, half burned, avatar's clothing smokes with what remaining fire had hit him and the ashy remnants of charded bamboo.Honestly he didn't think Sasuke could or would take down the entire battle field to flush him out, so much for guerilla tactics. Those type of military actions required a hit and run sort of manuever best suited for dense jungle or heavy urban areas. With such dense cover, a single attacker could attack one or two enemies, run for cover and let the wounded slow the party down. Later he could return to pick off the rest of the healthy members. Ko had planned for a near same result only more along the lines of the Commander slowing himself down by burning stamina in trying to catch his Lieutenant. With nothing to run behind that style of combat was useless for the most part. Sasuke had a higher speed rating, since the heavyblade's Ap Do ran out some time during the fall out, and he had a wider variety of long range spells.
"I'm the AOD Commander, I don't get caught with my back turned. Remember that!!"
Tsch. So it would seem.
Sasuke was probably in about the same health stance now. Though Ko suffered a pretty fine clunk from the falling debris, he was fire restiant for the most part and was designed for heavy impact attacks. A fine La repth earlier in the duel always helps too.
"I propose we have a show down!!! One more move each! I'm calling you out, young Ko. No armor, no items!!! Just you, me, and our swords!! Let's go!!"
"WHAT?!" He can't beat me like that. Fine then if that's the way he wants to go down then so be it. "You're on! Sasuke!"
Throwing his remaining shirt off for thw ind to carry away, the player removes all armor from the character. Only the demonic Devil Blade remained with not even enough Sp to guide it's weaker attack. The heavyblade would be making his class proud by striking down the blademaster like this. his bare feet struck burning and splintered wood with out regard for whatever toll it might take on his preformance. His battle cry echoes out in to the field to only be challenged by Sasuke's, as if they were even fighting in that respect. Before they came into direct physical range the child like body twisted in step, arcing the body so that every muscle would be brought into the effect of slashing the weapon down in a diagonal slope from upper right the lower left.

Sasuke - February 21, 2007 10:04 AM (GMT)
Sasuke saw as Ko took a step out of the burning rubble that was once the tower of scaffolding that their entire battle mainly took place on. While their efforts were all twisted and turned every which way, they still came down to a one attack win at the end of the fight. Ko_Inuyasha had healed himself, but his HP was back down quite a bit after having taken a few shots from the burning bamboo and planks that came down upon him. He still had more HP than his Commander, and the Commander was down pretty low, but unless his opponent could pull off near 200 damage to Sasuke's HP then the fight would not end with Sasuuke being player killed.
"WHAT?! You're on, Sasuke!!" Ko had shouted, he moved into place as Sasuke did the same. The final stage to this fight would be as Sasuke had proposed, a Show Down at the sun set. In the background of their field the sun had been going down steadily, but now it had come to the point where it was almost completely submerged into the backdrop of the field. The sky had faded and was now completely clear, no clouds in sight for miles and miles, if the field was even that big! It was the final show down, the end of the duel, and it would happen like this.
Ko_Inuyasha stood in his stance, crouched at first while gripping his weapon of choice. All of his armor had been unequipped, his items all lay in what he carried them in and on top of his armor. He even took off his avatar's undershirt, just for the effect to show that he had nothing. Sasuke had done nearly the same, except what had disappeared was the chest and back plate, as well as all of the different guards, shin and forearm, as well as his shoulder pieces. And to top it all off, the piece that made him so intimidating, the helmet in which shaded his eyes from his opponents was taken off and had been set aside with all of the rest of his armor and items. He sported a new hair style than before, now it was rather short and spiked up in the front for the most part, dark brown in color, and his opponent could finally see his sky blue colored eyes.
And for a finishing touch on Sasuke's part, atleast, he had tapped the button on his avatar that would spring out his cape, the red piece of material that would conveniently flow in the wind even when he was in a dungeon that had no wind to flow in. It always gave a 'heroic' look to his person and gave that extra effect that something good was about to happen.
Ko_Inuyasha screamed in a war cry, his sword was gripped like there was no tomorrow, he raised it into his attacking stance and readied the final strike. Sasuke mimiced him almost exactly, his cape all a-whirl in the not so high winds, it flapped behind him like a flag in the wind. His sword was held with both hands even though it is a one handed sword, his right arm at a 90 degree angle with his body and the hand gripping the top of the handle and his left arm stretched across his body with the hand gripping underneath the right hand. He crouched down as if he was about to take off in a sprint, speed was his specialty. Unlike his Lieutenant, Sasuke still had enough SP for another strike, though it would be a little cheap using one in a final duel, there was no shame in it because his opponent had used his SP foolishly and healed himself midway through a close quarters battle. It wasn't his fault that Ko_Inuyasha had nothing more to use but his pure strength, and with such.... the screaming ended in a brash grunt, the two players dashed off at each other like comets through the sky....
"GAN SLASH!!!" Sasuke shouted as he reached his opponent, and his opponent reached him.
Ko brought down his sword with all the force he could possibly summon, a heavy blade was known for amazing strength, he swung diagonally from Sasukes left shoulder to his right leg. Sasuke's sword lit up green and as he came to meet with Ko_Inuyasha, the first slash had already swung around for his attack, and his second slashed finished the 'X' shaped pattern.
A brilliant flash of white light resonated with a clang from their swords as they met together from each others attack. It was like looking into the sun for too long, you can still tell that someone is standing infront of you but you really can't place a finger on who it was, unless you already knew who it was to begin with.
One of the players fell down, but who was it....?? You will only find out when your eyes focus again.......

-END DUEL-
Jpec07 - March 2, 2007 02:32 AM (GMT)
As the orangeish light began to fade from the skills, both fighters stood. Each one had inflicted a great injury upon the other, and neither one moved for a moment. Fire and ashes danced behind them as the pile of bamboo began to ignite further, until Sasuke collapsed. The wound had been overly detrimental to him, and before he could make his character maneuver at all, the virtual body began to fade to a ghost.
Before Ko_Inuyasha could claim the victory, though, he too collapsed forward, piling on the ground and unable to move his character at all. The damage inflicted by the Gan Skill had been too severe for him to withstand, even with his heightened physical defense. His body dissolved into streams of data, leaving a ghost behind.
Almost immediately, both fighters were logged out, neither one able to claim a definitive victory.

You both need a lesson in how to regulate your SP, and I'll put it here so you don't have to go looking for one. First off, at the end of every turn you need to list your total SP and your maximum SP. This is one of the main reasons your grades in SP Reg are so low, but there's more to it than that.
Sasuke, you need to have your SP redefined. Even by the old system, yours is about 15 SP too high--and we've changed systems since then. The new system, as it applies to blademasters, is 4*Level+6. By this, I currently have a max of 62 SP, and you have a max of 94. The same is true for you, Ko, your max is 4 SP too high.
Scrolls have no bearing on the amount of SP regained per post. In fact, they have no bearing on your SP at all. The fact that you added two for using two scrolls actually corrected another problem you had:
Every time a post is made, you regain 1 SP. This means that in a two-person duel, you would start your turn with one more SP than your last turn. Then at the end of your turn, once you've done all the right deductions for skills and such (something you need to take another look at, Sasuke), you add another point at the end of your turn. This is how it's always been.
Ko, watch your verb-tense. You have a tendency to switch between past and present tense pretty frequently. Sasuke, you don't do it as much, but watch out for it. Oh, and both of you need to watch for simple grammatical, typing, and punctuation issues. Those hurt you both a lot more than they should have.
EDIT: My bad, Ko, because of one instance where you posted late, you lose a point.
