Welcome to your source for all your Big Event needs. This is Centrus, your host! I am here to tell you about a wonderful opportunity that is being placed in front of you. Senna and I have dedicated some time to come up with a fun way to pass the time between posting turns, as well as meet and greet some clan members, new and old! This is it! The thing you have all been waiting for! The brainchild of our very own Senna and Centrus, The Specialty Intra-Clan Duel!

The rules are as follows:

1) The maximum SP amount used will be 40 [subject to change if any Wavemasters enter] Upon using 40 SP, your SP will drop to 0 and will not return. If you have under 40 SP, it will regenerate until you have reached a total amount of 40 for the duration of the duel. After hitting the magic number, it will hit 0 as well.

2) No regular weapons will be used. All weapons will be along the lines of rolled-up newspapers, rakes, plates, and over-sized serving spoons. They will carry no skills, I repeat: NO SKILLS ON THE WEAPONS. This is to add to the fun and flavor of writing, as well as to add equality to any lower level players participating.

The next two rules are going to be decided when we have a cast of characters who are willing to participate. They are as follows:

1) The location is being debated. The ideas being thrown around now are either : a)Over pits of lava, B) Something along the lines of a regular field, or [pending mod approval] c) Somthing similar to a Roman style stadium, somewhat in ruins, with a large open arena in the center to fight in.

2) This rule is depending on the number of players who sign up. Will there be teams or not? It really can work either way. Teams or melee, we will have lots of fun!

Well, it is a good thing you signed up because when I updated this about an hour ago, I only saw the X in Savior's name and put you down instead. Senna and I figured putting it the main thread would get everyone's attention, but then thought that having it seprate would be a good idea rather than spamming up the main. Next time anything like this is happening I will be sure to PM you, and thanks again for the welcome.

You know what I just thought of, we never actually finished the first Intra-Clan Duel. We were still on the last match between me and Slicer. Hmm...Well, maybe if luck works for us, we'll get to finish it here and now. How does that sound Slicer?

Hmmm. Seven. Can we get one more, give us an even number in case we want teams? Or maybe two more, and go with two three-person teams... *grins and looks around for any others who might be interested*

Too lazy to do one of those official duel things... *points to Senna* I give my position to her... *coughs*

Oh, and if it stays at 7 people, I can drop out and just random either mod and/or judge. Don't worry, it won't be grading. Just putting names into a hat and drawing... <.<;;

On a slightly more serious note... I don't have one. But I'd drop out if the number of people are uneven.

Okay folks, we are going to get this show on the road in the next few days, so if we could get another member on board to even us out... well, that would rule. I think everyone has been far more than patient, so now is our time to shine. So I guess the question remains, pending our final entrant, how do we want spilt up teams. If we can, I would personally like to see us work with people we have not been in too much contact with, since besides being fun this is supposed to help us get to know each other. So, if I could get some feedback, either here or through PM, that would be great! Thank you so much people.

Our card is filled people! I think it is pretty safe to say things will be getting in to motion by the end of this week. I will be in contact with the necessary people, and I will PM y'all to let you know when things become final. I don't know about you guys, but I am excited.

How did we arrive at these shiny teams, you may ask? Well... we used a die. Blame lady luck ;-)

So what's left? Well, if you have any thoughts on location, post 'em up. If you have any thoughts on... well, anything else event-thing-related in some way, post 'em up. We start in less than seven days, at which point we commence bonding via violence. :)

He did not recieve any permission from me to make those weapons. He was just sitting next to me and decided it would be a good idea to anger me. We still haven't decided how weapons are working exactly. Please ignore the silly silly post.

Usagi... you have the only weapon that can effectively kill my pet...

Just throw it at him. Once you suffocate him in the cake, I'm weaponless >_< Just a single hit would down him for at least a second or two, giving you time to disengage and come in at me for the downing strike.

I blame my lack of creativty and the fact that someone was trying to press Alt+F4 on me while I was typing up that list...

Besides, if it's stale Moon Cake, it becomes one of the hardest things in the same :D

By and large, they really are not that bad of weapons, though the moon cake and the bird are two that I really had questions with. I can whittle the block of wood to my liking and such, Perhaps change those two, or if you guys like them, keep them. Whatever. I have no idea how I was going to do it anyway.

I'm sorry, but I see enough newspapers during the day. I need no more here :-p

I am using... a broom! One of the old kind with a twig bottom instead of a straw one. Top that. ;-)

I am going to whittle my giant block of wood into a slightly smaller block of wood with a handle. So there! Or, I might just use some other random object, like a patns presser or something like that. I don't know... any suggestions for Heavy Blades?

Yay! Summoning abilities! *Dances around* Um, does that mean I can summon anything? Like, a fish or a broom or a huge dragon monster? Like, anything? Besides a weapon (spear/sword/staff/etc.)

You can summon anything as long as you believe in yourself!

*shrugs* I just randomly thought them up. I guess it's a make your own weapon thing?

That was the original idea before Slicer so... nicely... came up with the ideas for everyone. You guys are really only limited by your creativity. Oh, and the rules. forgot about those. So yeah, just bring your favorite cleaning supply/moon cake/flaming eagle and have some fun.

Ok, so blame the guy who likes a little organization for this. It might be a good idea Centrus to actually post out what the guidelines are right now. Cause right now, I'm not sure if I am hitting people with a black rock, summoning a toilet brush, or fighting with a broom handle.

The rules are as follows:

1. A 40 SP limit
2. You can pick a weapon, but it should be a more joke-style weapon and should be similar to your regular weapon - fans or a pair of rolled up newspapers for twin blades, for instance
3. You can use one item during the event, but it must be one available for purchase in the Magic shop - ie. speed charm, health drink, low-level scrolls.
4. To keep this blunt-weapon bludgeonfest from going on forever, it'll be a 10-round limit. That should still last a looooong time.
5. Posting time limit is 4 days

10 rounds. is that 10 per person or per team? And is there a posting order (say no)?

No set order - figured we'd let the teams work that out. And 10 rounds - every person gets a chance to do 10 posts, though missing the time limit means they forfeited one

Okay, the duel has begun over in the duels forum (yay captain obvious Senna!). Teams, pick an order either in this thread, on IM, through PM, whatever. The four day limit for team 1's first post starts as of this being posted, I guess. Everyone have some fun, beat the crap outta one another and *swats at Aeneas with her broom of twiggish death* No calling us pigs.

The duel

Someone needs to post in the duel thread. Within the next forty eight hours, please. I PM'd SaviorX and asked him to post, but I don't know whether he read it or not. There are enough of us to make losing a point because of time pretty embarassing.
