Title: Administration

Rayo - October 4, 2005 04:50 AM (GMT)
Some of you may have noticed a change in a certain admin name recently...which was in fact due to a very simple thing. Since Gingitsune didn't have any real time to spend with the site anymore, she turned over control of the site to the rest of the administration to run fully. Don't bother PMing the name Divergence for questions, as it'd be easier to not check it for your daily PMs. Just bug us as usual, we know you love to.

I didn't even know there was a name "Divergence" to PM.

Intresting to know though...

EDIT: Oh... I see now... You changed Gingi's name to Divergence.

Huh... Okay then.

lugiablaster - October 4, 2005 05:03 AM (GMT)
Technically, Gingi=Divergence. The name was just changed for whatever reason it may be.

And ouch, Rayo. Low Blow <.>

I think someone should make a Divergence time line that shows all of the important events that have happened since the initial creation of Divergence 3 years ago.

Besides, as weird as this sounds Divergence does have a history, and for every history there needs to be a historian...

Don't look at me. I like the idea, but i'm not going to do it.

Kind of off topic but when Slicer said: "Gingi=Divergence" It got me thinking about how Gingi orignally created Divergence and now she doesn't even check it out anymore.

It'd be nice to know what all has happened, so that everyone can know.

Actually, I think that the name Divergence suits the site more. >_>;

Gingi made Divergence, therefore Divergence is Gingi! O_O; Gingi is Morganna!

AAAAAH!

*cough, ahem* I think it's a great way to distribute the powers among the mods.

...Since Rayo, the penguin, and I are now in charge, it's terribly difficult to resist the urge to say it, so I will...

...All your base are belong to us.

Anyway... I'm sure Rayo and I could put together such a timeline... although we'll have to edit out a lot of anecdotal info. For instance, that this Saturday will mark the 2 year anniversary of my being a mod... and of Wren's first modding... So very long ago...

Then there's the whole history of Mainplot as well... -has been writing the history of the plotline, in the form of the "Chronicles of the Freedom Fighters" in the library-

As for OOC events, I'm not very on-top of those things. I spent a lot of time avoiding Subs because of various issues I had, but that's being/been resolved. As such, I still don't know much of what went on among the administration... Mainplot's my demense.

As much as Gingi is Divergence, Nall is as well; at least initially. Granted, he dropped out and caused some problems, but he WAS a co-creator of the site. Gotta give the guy a little credit.

Edit for those interested:

Classic, to be sure.

Anyway, it shouldn't be hard work to compile the timeline, just a lot of it. It does seem like it needs to get done, and that monumental quests and events in subs should be marked on it, in addition to the mainplot plotline. Oh, and as far as updating is concerned, it would have to updated on a large interval (like, every other month or something, just because the further into the future you go, the clearer things from the past become).

Belisaria - October 5, 2005 12:07 AM (GMT)
Yea, mainly just highly the more important OOC stuff in subs, as well as some turning points in IC stuff(tournaments Events and the like) and the key storyline events. The same goes for main.

If we can just get a rought outline we can always fill in some of the smaller details later too.

And as for updating it, yea. I think we'd do it in chunks, wait like 2-4 months then update it.

There was previously a thread on this subject. It listed some significant events for after the first-year anniversary. It was a poll in which people voted on the most important event that had occurred so far. I would wager that the votes were towards the time when the site ceased to work temporarily.

Found it.

Slicer has spare time and has been active. He could put the puzzle pieces together with Rayo. I'm a little out of the loop lately because of schoolwork, though I'll be okay soon. Shugo also should know.

I hope that such a timeline explains things objectively. It should be updated some time after controversial events to prevent the accounts of what occurred from being warped in any manner. There is also more knowledge about some peculiar things that happened in the past than we knew even a year after they happened.
