Title: Need character names...
Description: oh, and titles too.
Lyra - September 22, 2005 05:54 PM (GMT)
I'm looking for a title and four female names related to both each other and the title. I want things that are imperfect but still beautiful. Examples I have so far are leafy trees and music.
My ideas:
Title: "Grow" or "Eternal Autumn"
Name ideas: Cedar, Olive, Aspen, Oak, Willow, Birch, Elm, Maple, Mahogany
Title: "Eighth Note", "Utau" (to sing), or "Stacatto"
Name ideas: Melody, Harmony, Rhythm, Tone, Key
Set B: Duet, Hymn, Waltz, Serenade, Overature
Title: "Spectrum" or "Greyscale"
Name ideas: Violet, Anaranjada (orange), Aoi (blue), Rosa (pink)
From NuByteHuntor:
Title: "In the rough" or "Facets"
Names: Garnet, Amethyst, Diamond, Emerald, Pearl, Peridot, Sapphire, Ruby and Opal
Title: "Tools of the trade" or "Cover"
Names: Edge, Quill, Ink, Pouch, Ring, Lens and Code (Cipher).
From Jeri:
Title: "Flutter", "Ruffled Feathers", Skybound", "Wind Song"
Names: Robin, Raven, Sparrow, Dove, etc.
Titles:"Chlorophyll", "Moon Lily", "Bloom", "Petal Dance"
Names:Lily, Rose, Glory (as in morning glories?), Clover (clover flowers), etc.
Titles: "Apothecary", "Aromatheropy", "Sagebrush"
Names: Sage, Mint, Ginger, Basil etc.
Titles: "Catalyst", "Crystal Shard", "Diamond Dust"
Names: Garnet, Crystal, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Opal.
From Saeko:
Title: "Elemental Voices"
Names: Aurora, Blaize, Glade, Rein
Suggestions or additions would be appreciated. For those who wonder, I'm doodling on a new comic (which may or may not die in 3 months like the last one) and want to name the characters before I design them completely.
Oh, and even if you can't think of a new set, just pointing and saying, "I like that one" would be appreciated.

Probably not what you are looking for, but I've got a possible themeing:
Title: "In the rough" or "Facets"
Names: Garnet, Amethyst, Diamond, Emerald, Pearl, Peridot, Sapphire, Ruby and Opal
Theme spawned from the precious stone set...
I'll come back if I think of more...

Another, though this would be more odd, might be better suited to a group of guys or a mixed group, and it doesn't quite fit in with the beautiful requirement. ^_^ Thought I might toss it out here anyway, it might give you ideas in a different dirrection.
Title: "Tools of the trade" or "Cover"
Names: Edge, Quill, Ink, Pouch, Ring, Lens and Code (Cipher).
I was actually set on this train of thought by the World premier play that the theatre I'm at will be putting on. The play is called The Black Pettycoat, is a musical, and is as accurate as possible to history as we currently know it. It's about the Culper Spy ring during the revolutionary war.
I'm playing one Caleb Brewster, operator of a whaleboat, and a crucial link in the spy chain.

I like your ideas for the colors, Ly, and I like Jeri's precious stones idea. I have one from myself too. Just one though ^^;
Title: "Elemental Voices"
Names: Aurora (Air)
Blaize (Fire)
Glade (Earth)
Rein (Water)

Lyra, this seems like a pretty good idea, though all the ones that first came to mind have been said, I hope that my contribution can help in some way!

Names: Bliss (Happy)
Gloom (Sad)
Rage (Mad)
Apathy (Indifferent)
