Hyruji - September 15, 2005 01:01 AM (GMT)
"My first duel...and with five other people at that..."

The blademaster character had been dwelling on the fact that his first duel was coming up later on in the day. He of course wanted to win, but he knew some of the people that were participating, Ko especially, he'd have a hard time dealing with. Hyruji was currently leaning against a wall, one that was right in back of the Chaos Gate. His green eyes watched the gate spin and whir, mind wandering and already becoming paranoid of loosing early, or having to run off from the fight like a coward or something, but he wasn't going to get anywhere thinking like that!! With a deep breath, Hyruji stepped forward, raising his hand up to the Chaos Gate. "...Er..what should I say? Um...Hyruji vs Hitori vs Raquar vs Taro vs Dien vs Ko!" A bit long of a title but thats the only thing he could think of really to say. Its not as if a field name was given to him.

Luckily enough, he had gotten it right as golden rings took him away to the battle field, which turned out to be a dense, pine forest. "Alright then...great. A forest..." Hyruji drew the Gakaku and held the hilt tight as he starting to walk through the tress, looking up into them, and around, making sure that he wouldn't be ambushed by any of the other five players.

From what he knew about the players that were participating, there was only one wavemaster, so, Hitori should be tried to be taken out first, then go after the rest, or atleast thats how he thought he should do things. Besides, he also knew that the wavemaster, Hitori, was still only at level one...hehe. Easy pickings. But then again, he could always make an alliance with one of the other players...

Insecurity after insecurity...

"I'll just take things as they come..." he murmured to himself, eyes still scanning the forest area.

Hitori - September 15, 2005 02:42 AM (GMT)
I shudder as I log into Mac Anu. This is my first duel, and I might as well try to hold my own. Still, it was scary. As the world comes into view, I turn to the Chaos Gate and yell the only thing I can think of: "Hyruji vs. Hitori vs. Raquar vs. Taro vs. Dien vs. Ko_Inuyusha!" Luckily for me, it works, and I close my eyes as the golden rings surround me, I find myself in a forest, along with Hyruji, who was standing by a tree as I appeared. I grimaced. Everyone was above my level, even Raquar. This was going to be difficult. Might as well dodge with my acrobatics and hope that everyone kills each other before I die. I quickly did a "video game" jump into the cover of the trees, waiting for everyone else yo arrive, and for the battle to begin...

Raquar had not been having a pleasant day with the world. Already he had had a... quarrel with another character, as well as a run-in with the law. If only that stupid Heavy Axeman hadn't shown up. None of this would have happened if it weren't for him.

He had been napping in his corner of his alley, minding his own business. He felt the uncomfortable sensation of having a toe dug into his ribs. In a flash, he was on his feet, spear pressed against the other's throat. Looking offended, the character had tried to swing his heavy bludgeon as his head.

It took only a moment. Raquar reversed the grip of his spear, and using the butt, he had shoved the character in the huge armor into the Mac Anu River. Nice thing, armor, it made you sink like a brick. Settling back into the corner, Raquar was quickly asleep again.

People had it in there heads that today was the day to bother him. Some time later, he was disturbed by a bunch of regal-looking guards. They introduced themselves as some of the authority around this area, and questioned him on the killing of another character.

Raquar was still not entirely sure how he had talked himself out of that one. It didn't really matter. The only things that mattered were that he was pissed, and he had an oppurtunity to beat the shit out of other players. What more could one ask for?

Stalking his way over to the Chaos Gate, Raquar paused before warping into the field. How do they come up with these wierd-ass keywords? he thought, as the keywords came tumbling out of his mouth.

Warping onto the field, Raquar grinned with immense amounts of pleasure. He was standing on the peak of a huge mountain, created entirely of ice. Plans were already forming in his head as he began to chip away at one side of the mountain.

Taro - September 15, 2005 04:54 AM (GMT)
"Oh yeah! Time for the battle of the century!" yelled Taro as he pushed through the crowd of Mac Anu. The people gave him cold stares, but Taro was so hyped about his duel, that he continued to push his way past the rest of the bystanders on the street. This is going to be awesome! An all-out battle, with the last man standing as the winner! thought Taro as he waded through the crowd.

At last, the heavyblade made it to Chaos Gate after making a huge crowd of enemies in the process. He quickly uttered the keywords to the field. In an instant, Taro was on the field of battle. He glanced around quickly for enemies and found none. He then surveyed the field he had been placed on.

The grass plain was completely empty save Taro who stood in the middle of the field. The heavyblade then quickly realized that there was no cover except for the grass that barely reached his knees. He frantically looked around for some kind of cover and suddenly got an idea.

"I shall stand here as an open challenge to any fighter who comes through here! I'll be like those cool guardian guys in the video games!" said Taro as he stabbed his sword into the ground. "This'll be great!" declared the heavyblade as he awaited one of his opponents.

It's a curious thing, browsing a board related to a game. A person can find so much information and gossip about it that the game turns into more a social gathering than a hobby. People had even been known to throw parties in the World, if the participants knew the field name and the people involved, they could do anything short of having sex on the servers (although the administration didn't like it, they were essentially powerless to do anything about it happening). The thought caused Dien to smirk as a wavemistress strode by, her sleek figure garbed in not much to be spoken of.

His task today, though, was not enticing a naive wavemistress into disrobing. Today was for something a bit more serious; a duel against other players. He'd not exactly known who he was fighting against, but then he'd only glanced at the thread on the BBS. Now, as he sat on a bank, his feet dangling just over the waves' peaks in the lazy river below him, he thought about who he knew he was up against.

Raquar and Taro had been mentioned in the thread; those were names he knew fairly well. He'd formed a sort of club with the two players, based on an inside joke with them. Now he learned that they'd be fighting in this battle. The players had helped him obtain honorary membership with the Figment Raiders, and so he'd been bound to them that way. Hopefully he would be able to team up with them for a time, but he did expect some back-stabbing (it was, after all, a free-for-all).

The other three players he'd not bothered looking up names of. Hyrule or something along those lines seemed to have repeated itself twice, and the third had been vaguely familiar upon gracing his ears. Nothing more than rung bells were in his mind as he started maneuvering the crowds to the Chaos Gate.

The game was particularly sparsely populated today, but the blademaster didn't really care. His sole duty was getting to the gate and then warping to the field. It would be particularly easy without all the people in his way, but he didn't particularly care (more excitement was directed toward the legalized version of PKing he was about to participate in).

A spinning disc of blue lined in gold twirled about a vertical axis: the Chaos Gate. The protector of towns, and the bringer of torment: the gate served many purposes. His use for it, however, was merely transportation. His lips parted, uttering the keywords before being shipped away to the all-too-awkward field.

If the words hadn't caused the mixup, chances are that it had been a programming fluke on part of the original coding geniuses of this place. When Dien appeared, he stood on the border of the three different worlds; forest, plains, and glacial. They were three distinct climates, and standing between them all was a strange feeling (almost as though he were at the universe's center).

Still, it was all he could do to draw his borrowed blade, Zenganshon, and wait. He'd tuned his hearing to focus on the sounds of battle and abnormal whistlings, so he would be able to tell if anyone were approaching. As of now, though, he stood alone, waiting in a defensive stance on the edge of the worlds. He would be ready for anything if it came.

I hadn't done much more then work through out the day so, the game was just the release I needed. I had schedualed a fight between me and five other players that I had mostly met before. The only one I hadn't seen at least once was the long arm, Raquar. I was the only one at the Chaos gate so, must've been the last one to enter the field. Because of the large number of people, we set the warp in point at random. We'd be all scattered about and not have to worry about being bunched together at the start of the match. Upon entering the field I find that randomness is my enemy. I'm stuck out on a petruding rock formation about five yards from the peak of the mountain. My body goes instantly into "OMFG it's cold!" mode as he chills of the high altitude blow snow into my loose kimono. I curse at the weather and his field in my mind. I would do it our loud but my teeth are busy chattering away.

One would think that the altitude would provide a good vantage point for spoting prey, but the driving snow wind and blinding white ground serve more hinderance then provision. Below me are several other simlilar rock formation made closely together, more then close enough for me to make a decent from this ideal hell. As, I leap from rock to rock I remember the appearance hack on my sword. I pull Tetsusaiga like weapon and give it a once over to decide what to do about it. "Maybe I'll get a kick or two by leaving the weapon like this. They wont be able to tell what weapon it is either. I think I'll leave it up this time around." I nod and continue my decent until I'm a rough thirty yards from the base of the mountain. There I stalk a nice looking deer going by the name Dien.

I remember you. You were at Unending Sea of Amber. You had that strange rare weapon that drained sp and was powerful to boot. I should avoid fighting you directly, but I got just the plan for you.

I avoid being spotted by him by staying close to the ground. The red covering my body will give me away instantly if I'm not careful. I craw my way back over to the main bulk of the mountain and place my hand into the air. "Gan Zot!" I call out the spell, not thinking about the loud echo. It was to late now though, the boulders were already crushing out of in the mountain face. When they break off chunks of the mountain they collide with the ground and roll off of the face of the cliff. I watch as the broken mountain parts roll off of the small cliff down to where Dien was stationed. I follow down thea path gaurded from sight by the mountain side, into the grass land area, to flank him.

Edit: This was editted because I forgot that Zot ment raising spells. Dien pointed this out to me and permitted the change.

Hyruji - September 16, 2005 10:46 PM (GMT)
The blademaster hoped that he would find an opponent soon enough. It would get quite annoying if he didn't, and especially if they all killed eachother and he won that way. Thats just...not a real win. He sighed softly, gripping the hilt of his sword tightly as he continued to walk through the forest. Hyruji blinks though and turns around, blade pointed out in in front of him, as he heard a sound from behind. His eyes scanned the immeadiate area, finding no one in sight. "...There aren't any monsters in dueling fields...at least I don't think...someone MUST be here..."

The wind wasn't an option either. Wind couldn't make the sound of gating into a field, then the whoosh of a jump. Since the ground was clear though, that left the treetops. Hyruji looked up, sight falling onto each tree top, searching for one of the other five players, and luckily he saw a brief shadow like figure, though due to the angle he was in, he couldn't be too sure of who, or what it could be.

"Oh well..." He turned away from the tree with the suspected player and continued walking for just a moment before turning around and running back in the direction of the tree, jumping up into the air, blade raised above his head. It was a pretty bad fake out manuver, but hopefully whoever it was fell for it and stayed there thinking he was safe from the blademasters fake walk off. His blade came through the branches and leaves, hoping to collide with someone.

"Die!"

Unfortunatly, what he had seen was simply nothing, his blade slicing through teh said branches and leaves. Hyruji landed back on the ground a bit wobbily and off balanced, but gripped his sword none-the-less. He'd have to find an opponent before paranoia got the best of him.

(OOC: I changed my mind. I'm no longer in. I can't handle two duels at once. Sorry...)

flamingmonkey_92 - September 20, 2005 12:52 AM (GMT)
(Sorry for the lateness guys)

Raquar continued his assault on the mountain vigorously. The sound of the spear clinking on the ice had a certain rythmic quality, and Raquar was able to survey his work. Ice flew as the spear crashed itself upon the ice repeatedly,

Standing up straight, Raquar wiped the sweat from his face and surveyed his masterpiece. Long, sparkling, pointy spires of ice poked there reluctant heads out of a waist-deep trench. The barrier would serve to harbor almost any charge.

Raquar turned toward the other side of the mountain when a frosty chill scattered itself around the mountain, whipping Raquar's robe around his body. Raquar looked up just in time to see a shadow streak across his vision. Raquar peered down the mountain to confirm the entry of the Heavyblade, Ko_Inuyasha.

A shout reverberated around the top of the mountain as Ko yelled something at another blur, standing at the exact meeting point of the three fields. Huge chunks of ice and snow thundered down the mountain at the two characters.

Raquar gazed down and analyzed the situation. If people were already attacking, he needed to hurry up. Letting his legs carry him to the other side of the mountain, Raquar continued his taboo against the earth until a solid ring of stakes and trenches surrounded the peak.

The only thing left to do was sit and wait.

((OOC: Any one who's still in can continue in post order after me. So far, we've lost Hitori, Taro, and Dien. Just kill them off if you see them and lets be on))

The superior player was remaining motionless, either arrogant or afk. Doesn't matter though because the ends all the same. The avalanch hits his body head on knocking him to the ground and leaving only a sad portion of his torso and head revealed. The white blanket serves as a welcome mat for my bear feet. I stand over the one I thought was going to be a challenge with pride and my sword held high.

"I'll pay you back for leaving you in that field one day."

I smirk at the end of my sentance. This is a fight after all, no-holds-bar.

"Just not today buddy."

My sword thrusts hard into his chest and breaks straight through the cavity into the ground. It isn't long before his form fades away from the field. An announcement is made like an echoing voice in the sky, telling every one of Dien's death. I figure there must be someone who heard the noice of the avalanche and is most likely watching me right now. It's not long before I dart into the forest and fade away into the trees.
