Title: Don't waste your time

Okay...ladies you will know what i am talking about when it comes to shaving your legs.

Guys just do not understand. Shaving one's face is not nearly as inconvenient or as much of a hassle as shaving legs.

And this nuisance of shaving legs to please men has been threatened with a whole lines of cream products promising to "melt" away hair and to keep it gone for a long time.

And in turn...this has made us waste huge amounts of money.

Last year I had the "joy" of trying a Nair cream. It did not work and it smelled terribly.

Today I decided to give creams another try and purchased Veet Rasera which is a Gel Cream and it comes with a spiffy bladeless razor to scrape away the hairs.

It recommends that the cream sit on your legs for a minimum of 3 minutes. So I sat on the edge of my tub for 3 minutes reading various things.

Then I tested an area and found that the stubborn hair still stayed.

So I waited the MAXIMUM time which is 8minutes.

Not only did most of the hair stay but that bladeless razor has left lovely red marks up and down my legs.

So ladies...don't waste your money or your time and stick by your razor. Yeah, you'll get a few nicks and cuts and stuff...but at least the bleeding will stop eventually and your legs will come out smooth.

Aw, how sad. :(

However, the thing that can be said about shaving legs vs guys shaving their faces is that if we don't feel like shaving, no one has to know. :D

And anyway, I only have to shave a maximum of once a week.

Hope your legs get better.

well...on the parts where the stuff DID work...they definitely feel a lot smoother and softer than when I shave.

Still not worth the aggravation.

Wonder if I can still return it to Wal-mart...???

I rather doubt it. You might be able to complain tot he manufacturer, though. See if you can get your money back, and then use it to start a savings account for to get electrolysis.

I've heard that even with electrolysis the hairs grow back...too expensive and I don't care to go through it.

shaving sometimes lends me to a nihilistic mood. it sucks. why, oh, why do i wear so many skirts when work has a minimal dresscode and i can wear just wear jeans instead?

I have tried electrolysis - it really hurts and is not permanent.
Nair/Veet give me a rash so I prefer to use body wash when I'm shaving my legs. I can't be bothered to let it get long enough to get a wax.

Finally, men just don't appreciate the trouble you need to go to to keep them interested.

No, I think they appreciate the trouble...they just don't CARE :|
