Description: A thread for anime.

Who else out there likes watching anime, and what are your favorites?
I'm still watching .hack//SIGN on Cartoon Network every Saturday night. It's really good, but it gets a little confusing sometimes...

I'm an avid fan of Cowboy Bebop... but I tend to stay clear of anime otherwise.

my first anime experiance was with Sailor Moon. it was all i watched from age 11 to age 13. next came DBZ, which i still watch, bt only if its a new ep. Bebop is great, but i dont watch it often, Inuyasha is good, 3x3 eyes is good. I like Sol Bianca, BBC 2040, Slayers, Those Who Hunt Elves, Burn Up W, Vampire Hunter D, Ghost in the Shell, Princess Mononoke, Ninja Scroll, Angel Sanctuary, Ah! Megami Sama, and umm, i think im leaving some out, but considering the fact that its 1am...
umm my faveriot anime is Bakuretsu Hunters. i just got the last ep and im going to watch it in a few mins.

How about Trigun? From the commercials for it on Cartoon Network, it looks pretty neat.
I think that Sailor Moon on TV was one of the first animes for me, too. Well, that and the occasional anime movie on the SciFi channel (which I only vaguely remember). I really do wish that they would show anime movies again now that I can fully appreciate them, but they said in an FAQ on their site that the movies never got enough ratings and that they weren't planning on putting it back on. :( :( :(

I've watched DBZ from start to finish. When I can, I watch Ranma 1/2 and Cowboy Bebop. Hellsing is enjoyable. And the best anime movies I've seen are Ninja Scroll, FoTNS (over the top action); Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, Perfect Blue (drama); Read or Die, and (a personal little guilty pleasure) the better DBZ movies i.e. movies 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 (general insanity) .

One of my friends was talking about it a little while back... He described it as Anime on crack... or maybe that the producers were on crack. In any case, he loved it. I'd watch it, now that I'm done with Trigun, but they aren't showing it anymore... :ohwell:
I saw this one episode, because I had just happened to be staying up later than usual. FLCL is strange. I hadn't seen the ones before it, so I was even more confused than usual. Anyway, the memorable part was when the robot/boy? was fighting this giant hand with guns, and he was getting pushed around... And suddenly he creates this guitar, and everyone's like "The newest model!!" and then he hits this pingpong ball of energy at the robot hand. And... um... yeah. It's the newest model! :rollin: :s :rocknroll:

Trigun is my favorite anime, though to be fair, anything on Cartoon Network I shun on general principle (except Gundam Wing, that is the only anime that was better in English than it was in Japanese). Slayers is hilarious, I'm only sorry that I haven't seen the last few episodes of it. Escaflowne is another good one. Cowboy Bebop is my second favorite anime. Hmm... Inuyasha is good, but only for the glimpses of Sesshoumaru. I've only seen one episode of Hellsing, it looks quite good so far. Love Hina was... alright I guess. Oh yah, I hate Evangelion. Some people love it, not I. I can't bring myself to like an anime where I hate the main character. I think I've covered a lot of bases here, I wonder how many have heard of/seen these animes I mentioned.

I didn't really like the looks of Inuyasha when I saw part of an episode, so I didn't bother with that. Trigun was nice while it lasted.
Anybody really watched that little league version of Gundam Wing? Sharp animation, but very very odd...
