Just curious if anyone here plays this online. I've been doing a lot of it lately and I have to say...tis VERY fun.

I haven't played it, but I was taking a look at it the other day (mainly because it was so cheap - $15). I would really like to try out Call of Duty. That looks pretty good.

Seriously, Battlefield is amazing. You can do anything. You wanna fly a plane over an enemy base, parachute out, land next to an enemy plane, steal it and fly somewhere else, then go ahead. You wanna drive a tank and blow the enemy to smitherines. Be my guest. You wanna drive a jeep really fast mowing down enemy soldiers as you do, that can be arranged.
You can choose what type of soldier you want to be from either side:
1. Scout, complete with binoculars and sniper rifle.
2. Assault, Medic complete with machine gun and in the case of medics a medpack to heal others or yourself.
3. Anti-tank, did somebody say bazooka?
4. Engineer, explosives galore with landmines and remote explosive packs. Also, a wrench to fix darn near anything.
5. All soldiers have a knife, handgun and grenades (excluding engineers)
Feel free to roam huge maps complete with land, air, and sea vehicles.
1. Land - jeeps, tanks, anti air missle launchers, anti-air turrets, machine gun turrets, etc
2. Air - Planes (Bombers, fighters, combos)
3. Sea - Aircraft Carriers, destroyers, pt's, subs, land transports.
Fight in many historic locations:
1. D-Day Omaha Beach
2. Battle of the Bulge
3. Berlin
4. Battle of Britain
5. Philippines
6. Stalingrad
7. Iwo Jima
8. Midway
9. Guadelcanal
Put it all together and you get...
THE BEST PC MULTIPLAYER GAME EVER MADE......PERIOD.

Might I suggest you check out some of the bf1942 mods? Forgotten Hope, Battlegroup42, Experience WW2, Desert Combat to name a few.
