Title: Merin (Or InvisionBoard Users) Help Please
Description: Needs Assistance - And Lunch
Ghostdriver5 - October 11, 2003 07:02 PM (GMT)
My question is, I have tried to post on a few other Invision boards and it always says 'Sorry, we have no record of a member named Ghostdriver5'
Isn't it like EZ Board, where (at least for global users) once you are a member at one board you can post at any ex board?
Or, do you have to sign up all new with *each and every* invision board?
I mean, I thought that (like with ez) since I ama member here, I could post at any invision board - but it's not happening. Help please?

No, each board is independent of the other, you have to re-register everytime
and Ghost...we have a help forum you know!!!

Huh? So you're saying it IS like ez board?
And we have a help forum? Who does? Is it like a discussion forum?
I would go to it, but I can't post on any other invision board but this one, that's what the whole point of this thread was!
Lol, you are paying attention, right?

there is no global account for Invision. Each board is independent, you just sign up at the ones you want to join.
She is referring to the Cookie Cabinet's help forum....of which you are the moderator. :P

I wasn't going to point out that lil irony...I was hoping he'd figure it out for himself and be ashamed :mischief:
But Kundor is correct, Ghost...like I said, each board is independent of the other, and you have to reregister at each board you want to post at.

you have to reregister at each board you want to post at.
But I mean, it's still basically like ez board though?
kundor - October 12, 2003 05:31 AM (GMT)
Erm, that was me. I'm using a text browser, a tad discombobulating ;)

I believe what Ghost is refering to is the local account.
The global account allows you to post on any board hosted by Ezboard.
A local account only allows you to post at the board you registered in.
In this, yes...invisionfree is like ezboard's LOCAL account.
There is no global account with invisionfree.
So, Ghost...in order to post at other boards you have to register on their board. To do that you click on Log In and there should be an option in that new window that allows you to register.

Oh...Huh...I see...Well, thanks for the info - but I'm just not honestly sure how I feel about that...
Merin Sun - October 14, 2003 04:35 AM (GMT)
you should feel ashamed
deeply, deeply ashamed.
