The Historian dissapears into the racks. Several minutes later he returns with a large scroll. Attached to the bottom of this by a tassle is another smaller scroll. He opens the seals on both and spreads them on the desk before Zeus. He places the larger scroll out first and then the smaller one in the center of it.

The smaller scroll appears to be more recent and is a basic explanation of the current Emerald Champion. At the bottom of the scroll Zeus notices what appears to be fresher ink since it has not yet faded with age. Zeus learns the following from the small scroll.

-As of it's writing the current Emerald Champion was Doji Satsume of The Crane Clan.
-Satsume was a great hero during something called "The Scorpion Clan Coup" and was the one to carry out the Emporer's order to execute Bayushi Shoju, The Scorpion Clan Champion, at the Coup's conclusion.
-The section added at the bottom is an update that gives mention to the fact that Satsume was found poisoned in "The Castle of The Emerald Champion" last month and it includes some kind words about how he faithfully served His Clan, The Emporer, and The Empire until the day he died. At the end it mentions that a tournament is in the works to find his replacement and that this tournament is referred to as "The Test of The Emerald Champion."

Zeus leans back having finished reading this scroll and the historian retrieves it from the desk. The historian rolls it back up and relocks the seal. Zeus then continues on to the larger scroll...

Zeus continues reading the scrolls as they are brought to him with an almost unrelenting pace. Once he has read up on all the subject matter on the tournament he dismisses his historian. He then leans back onto a nearby pillar and rests. You are uncertain whether or not he is asleep.
