Title: TCG Policy's

Malach - November 15, 2004 03:12 PM (GMT)
As this site has grown, we have found the need to add some policies as opposed to rules. These will address the social nature of the board, and suggestions.

Malach - November 15, 2004 03:13 PM (GMT)
Due to the nature of Internet contact and coversation, Catoon Orbit: The Complete Guide (CO:TCG), discourages any of it's members from giving out personal information to other members. This board is growing by leaps and bounds, and we all know there are predators who use the internet for their own twisted purposes.

If you feel that something inapproproate is occuring at this site, please contact a moderator. We also discourage people from engaging in romantic internet relationships. Further, CO:TCG, will not take any responsibility, nor liability for any events that occur because of the transfer of private information at this site.

Always remember, it is VERY easy for someone to hide their identity via a computer.

Malach - November 15, 2004 03:17 PM (GMT)
While understood that images (banners, avatar, art pieces, etc) created by members of this site are not copyrighted (except where indicated), it is the policy of the site to discourage people from using other members art with out permission. This only applies to created pieces. If you would like to use someone's created images, please ask that person first, and is they say no, please respect there wishes.

Malach - November 17, 2004 02:42 PM (GMT)
CO:TCG has decided to change it's approach to promoting Premium Members. Number of posts will no longer be the defining factor of becoming a premium member. While still part of the creteria, it will have less importance.

To become a premium member, the staff of CO:TCG will look at the following things:

Disciplinary actions taken in the past 6 months.
Length of Membership
QUALITY of posts
How you contribute to the betterment of the board

If you have any questions please PM a mod. Addtionally if you feel we are overlooking someone for premium membership, please PM us.

TCG has added a new feature to everyones posts. You can now see you (and only your own warning level).

It range from 0% (which is good) to 100% which is bad. Everytime you commit an warnable infraction at TCG, it goes up 20%. If you reach 40 to 60% in a quick stretch you will get banned. It can go up or down, and we do reduce warning levels.

Also if you click on the %, a pop up will show you who warned you and for what.

If ever you have a issue with a Moderator at this forum, please contact either Creator or Crystal Velvet.

TOYI1SOCCER - December 23, 2004 05:20 PM (GMT)
related to that! don't forget to save or provide proof of your situations with them.

Malach - January 6, 2005 02:29 PM (GMT)
Dear Malach has become a very popular thread. I feel I need to address some issue with this thread.

1. The Dear Malach character is a internet creation. Any opinion expressed by it's writer are not nessecarily the opinion of CO:TCG, nor any one posting in the Dear Malach thread. While good advice is given there, the thread is mostly for entertainment purposes.

2. Please realize that in the course of the nature of the thread, you may get made fun of or put into a situation you may not be comfortable with.

3. While the board rules are a bit more loose in this thread, Moderators will have the final descision about postings there, and whether to edit or remove them, or any disciplinary action resulting from posts there.

Malach - January 6, 2005 03:57 PM (GMT)
While the rules of the board generally apply to all members, there have been a number of question/statements about mods following the board rules.

As a general statement, if you see a mod breaking a rules, it is general for a reason. Being a mod, also provides one with certain priveleges, and powers, not available to board members. We would prefer not to hear about mods breaking board rules, 99% of the time, it is for a pupose.

Please use judgement though, we do want to know about major violation done by staff: Profanity, Nudity, Post having to do with Drugs, Alcohol, or Sex, Flaming or Flooding, posting private info about members, etc.

Malach - January 25, 2005 06:55 PM (GMT)
I feel there is a need to address this "board war" that seems to be going on between CNOC and TCG. TCG in NO WAY supports this. The goal of this web site is not to start wars with other sites.

This being said, everyone is to immediately remove any signatures that put down another board, or a member of another board, or face disciplinary action. This is flaming and against the rules. Secondly, these arguments, name calling, and insults need to stop. We have a lot of members here that are current or past members of other boards, and have joined for one reason or another. Just because someone has joined from a site, you do not like, does not mean it is your right to drive them from this board. Issues with any members will be dealt with by the staff here and only the staff here.

Finnally, something to think about. Be careful about whom you start wars with. CNOC has a closed board, we don't. How easy would it be for 300 CNOC members to join together and attack this board??

Please act like the community we are.

Crystal Velvet - February 1, 2005 05:08 AM (GMT)
As VIP members are those who have a positive impact on the message board through quality posts, it is important that everyone is aware of the bare minimum
eligibility requirements.

To be eligible for consideration as a VIP, a member must have a warning level of zero percent, and they cannot have caused trouble for at least one month.

If a VIP member's Warning Level is increased, the individual risks losing VIP status.

TCG will not publish a scammers list. There are sites that do this. The best one is the Cartoon Orbit Police

Police

Please do not start one, nor ask us to keep one. We are not in the business of accusing people of things that do not happen on this site.

Addtionally, we have no problem if you post a thread titled I got scammed by so and so. They will get deleted if the following occurs.

1. You begin figthing or flaming through the thread
2. You accuse one of our members and they are not here to defend themselves
3. You allegations are found to be false.

Malach - February 13, 2005 02:09 AM (GMT)
I would like to talk a bit about how we treat new members. We are getting a lot of them, and a lot are staying. Please do not jump all over new members if they intially break the rules. Please let mods redirect them. Also please do not assume a new member is a former or banned member. Again, the staff here are not dolts, and we have all the same suspicions you do, we just don't broadcast it. Banned member under new alias always screw up.

Please be welcoming. Our goal as a site is to be just that. So many here have left "unwelcoming" forums, and do not want TCG to turn into this.

If you suspect a banned member from rejoining this group, instead of trying to expose them, please PM you concerns to a mod. You would be surprised how on the ball we are.

Thanks for your cooperation.

A new policy and a warning.

TCG does not condone scamming in any form. We do not care if it is revenge scammming, jokes, unintentional, etc. Form this day forward, if you make a post stating you scammed person X, or intend to, we will treat you like every other scammer who has come to this board, you will be banned.

Scamming, is scamming no matter how it is done.

Also, if you have been scammed, and you have hard prove of it (screenshots, admittances, etc.) please give this information to the staff, we will take action against someone who can be proved a scammer. If you do send us info, please give us time to investigate the claim.

Enigma Zero - January 23, 2006 05:29 PM (GMT)
Cartoon Orbit: The Complete Guide allows no monetary transactions on it's forums. We don't allow it, we don't condone it, and we're not responsible for it. This goes for, but is not limited to...

-Product Promotional Codes
-Orbit Points
-Neopoints
-Runescape Stuff
-Services(artsistic or otherwise)

If you have any additional questions/comments like this(keep in mind we're not changing our mind on this to allow it so don't ask) then please feel free to PM a Mod/Admin and we'll do our best to relieve any confusion you might still have on the matter.

Additional Clarification: Many people have PMed me to ask about this one so let me put it another way. You can't use real money to buy stuff on these forums. Be it Orbit Points, Neopoits, or whatever. No actual currency changes hands on these forums. There, hope that clears things up some.

Due to some minor technical errors the Rules and Regulations appear to be offline, but don't worry. Thanks to TheUnknownSeries and his forethought we have a copy of them to place here so that nobody forgets the rules until this matter can be resolved. Enjoy. :D
