Title: Spectator's Booth
Description: General Commentary

Enigma Zero - September 11, 2004 07:18 AM (GMT)
The Spectator's Booth is designed as a place those people not directly involved in the events of The Emerald Empire.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind:
1- This is not a Spam Thread...don't make me repeat this.
2- If you're commenting on something in the game or such then it would be nice if you would list the Thread Title, Page, and Post you are talking about to avoid confusion.
3- I move useless threads/posts in this forum to either this thread...or oblivion, my choice.

Ok, so you read the rules. Have fun. :D

Conan Edogawa - September 13, 2004 04:26 PM (GMT)

Conan Edogawa - September 13, 2004 05:03 PM (GMT)
:P lol i odnt have to read it but i like stroys so i read them i think its fun :P and to read all three of them it only took me 10-15 mins :D

Naruko - September 13, 2004 05:04 PM (GMT)
!% min., I skipped over some parts, as in just glanced at some of the words, took me 5 min  ( to read the first part)

Conan Edogawa - September 13, 2004 05:16 PM (GMT)
lmao wad ur to lazy to read the wole thing

Enigma Zero - September 13, 2004 08:19 PM (GMT)
Thanks for the compliments Conan and :P to Naruko. I admit that the beginning was a very lengthy endeavor, but it was necessary. The 1st adventure will be packed with content because you have no idea what you're getting yourself into. As you all get more comfortable with your surroundings then the speed of the game will pick up and the text should cut down somewhat. So far I have only planned two sections as long as the one you read today for the 1st adventure. Everything else should be alot smoother and allow for alot more interaction.

P.S. Naruko, skimming will get you by sometimes, but other times...it may prove fatal. Just keep that in mind. ;)

Naruko - September 13, 2004 08:21 PM (GMT)
I only SKIM when storys are discribing the boring stuff, not like a feild or dungeon, etc and I always read convo, thats the best part :P to Enigma

Enigma Zero - September 13, 2004 08:31 PM (GMT)
Actually the best part for me in a game like this or any I have ran in the past is watching the players reactions. I am always pleased when there comes that one momment when one of the players looks outside of the box and comes up with something completely out of left field....that's brilliant and then it works.

In the past, when I was less skilled at this type of thing, I would lay out an entire dungeon and think that I had the party nailed down to maybe one path so that I could unfold the storyline perfectly....only to have that one momment of brilliance figure out an entirely new path that worked and gained the entire party success over the whole dungeon in a matter of a few actions. This, of course, also taught me to ALWAYS have a backup plan ready. :D

That could get you killed, you could miss something in the text that describes a weal spot, a clue. ;)

Naruko - September 13, 2004 08:58 PM (GMT)
If im in battle or something like that, then im not stupid enough not to read it, I no when my lifes on the line and I SKIM threw the begginning,ALWAYS BORING

Taz L. Gonzales - September 14, 2004 12:34 AM (GMT)

Pilaf - September 14, 2004 12:56 AM (GMT)
well, if we can get all of us on at once, no you wont. With three experienced RPers, two somewhat, and one fast learner, it'll be bang bang bang during things like combat.

NonVip - September 14, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
Lol, i take it im the fast learner lol.

Well, I could have swore I saw Oplasma post a few minutes ago somewhere else ;)

Voltei - September 14, 2004 01:44 AM (GMT)
I would like to comment that isn't Amaterasu and the entire thing on the formation of the RP world we are living in based off of Japanese mythology?

NonVip - September 14, 2004 01:50 AM (GMT)
I have 2... Sometimes we will be one at the same time but usually my parent are using one.

Pilaf - September 14, 2004 01:55 AM (GMT)

NonVip - September 14, 2004 01:59 AM (GMT)

Pilaf - September 14, 2004 02:01 AM (GMT)
so you're in the same school? thats good, that means you get off at the same time, and thus, have the same window of oppurtunity to get on a computer.

That is correct. We get home around 3:30 EST time, usually we can both be on at that time.

It could be a mix of several mythologies together actually now that I think of it.

All I know is that Amaterasu has something to do with the Japanese legend of how the world was created.

Further research must be done to be sure!

...Or I'll have Enigma explain it.

My elective in school is japanese language and culture, but we haven't gotten to the culture bit yet, so I don't know. I might in a few weeks though.

Voltei - September 14, 2004 02:33 AM (GMT)
Ooh! Another area of conflict I see.

Antisocial Oplasma, warrior of Water, and quiet Arioch, sorcerer of Fire.

Pilaf - September 14, 2004 02:46 AM (GMT)
true, but not like I care, I would only really be mad if he was a caster. I am a little angry, but only because he took it to spite me.

Enigma Zero - September 14, 2004 03:16 AM (GMT)
Voltei & Conan:
You are both correct....somewhat. The Emerald Empire takes influences from many different places....as you will discover as you become more and more familiar with this world. ;)

P.S. Conan, the words you are looking for are Norse Mythology. My roomie is heavy into it.

Conan Edogawa - September 14, 2004 09:46 PM (GMT)

Enigma Zero - September 25, 2004 05:20 AM (GMT)
That would be telling and if you make it into Group II then you will more than likely encounter the Empress and Storyteller at some point yourselves. They're such prominant figures it would be hard not to... ;)

Star - September 25, 2004 05:31 AM (GMT)
the Emrold Empier seams to be caming along quit well I just wish some one would try for group2.

Conan Edogawa - September 25, 2004 03:57 PM (GMT)

Star - September 25, 2004 07:15 PM (GMT)

Voltei - September 25, 2004 11:03 PM (GMT)
The only reason why we are so behind is because of the three hurricanes that just happened to pass by. :P
