Title: The Essential 10: Series

Enigma Zero - August 12, 2004 07:37 AM (GMT)
Through the various boards and such that have been or are part of my daily journies through cyberspace anime seems to always come up. I figured it was about time to share this with you all...;)

Alot of talk about alot of anime, but several people on several boards have put together what is called "The Essential 10". Consider these the gateway series to get into the world of anime. It's what seperates the fans from the fanboys. Where do you stand?

(in no particular order)
1. Neon Genesis Evangelion
2. Robotech
3. Gatchaman (aka Battle of The Planets/G-Force)
4. Dragonball*
5. Trigun: Planet Gunsmoke (aka Trigun)*
6. Rorouni Kenshin: Wandering Samurai*
7. Love Hina
8. Vandread: 1st Stage (bonus points for 2nd Stage)
9. Lupin III*
10. Serial Experiment: Lain

*Half credit for Cartoon Network poorly dubbed and censor mutilated versions.

So....Where do you stand?

Heh, it's not entirely my list though. I just agree with most of it and am sharing it with you all. If it were my list then Dragonball wouldn't be on it.

really... i quite enjoyed dragonball... at least early on where people weren't jumping and shooting, and bieng aliens and stuff... it kicked the **** out of DBZ and GT, which wasn't even toryiama.
