Again, I would love for the Colts to win again, but I still think the Pats are going to win this year.

Prediction: Game will be close for the first half, and then the Pats will pull away.

Reasons:

1. Jack Del Rio has tons brain farts in the playoffs
2. The Jags don't have the offense to score 30+ points against a similar defense to what they have
3. Jacksonville doesn't have the defense to limit the Pats offense enough.

Eyes Called Sharingan - January 7, 2008 07:01 PM (GMT)
cowboys or colts

I feel the Browns got cheated, but I'm going with the Patriots.
(On the bright side, considering everything Cleveland had went through, Browns really had rather improved).

Bugs Iceman Martian - January 7, 2008 08:07 PM (GMT)
I'm sticking with SD

I think that the Jags will beat NE though. The Pats struggle against the run against teams with good runningbacks, They allowed almost 140 yds to Willis McGahee and allowed 4.2 yds per rush vs the Giants. The duo between MJD and Taylor is probably the best runningback duo in the game. The Jags' D vs the Pats passing game is better than the Pats' D vs the Jags' running game

Megaman X - January 8, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Packer i hope.

I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say Seahawks.

All you got to do is look at the numbers:

Pats Defense was ranked #4 this season, Jags offense #17

TheUnknownSeries - January 11, 2008 12:31 AM (GMT)
Them Pats do have a good defense but I think the Jags will give them a show

35 - 10 Pats, will be close first half.

Bugs Iceman Martian - January 11, 2008 09:24 PM (GMT)
I got it being 31-28 Jacksonville

Bam, exactly pretty much what I said, no?

35-10? close, but it was 31-20.

Jags just sucked the 2nd half

 No it was not exactly what you said you said the Pats will destroy the jags but the jags only lost by 11 so that does not make it a blow out. I don't know what a blow out is in your world but I think you are just to high on the pats right now. They are a good team but they are not going to destroy every team they will face.

 You got to understand where I am coming from Malach no matter what you say I just don't care for the Patriots. I don't like Tom Brady and I really don't like The New England Patriots so I will always have a hope that a team will beat them. They are facing better team so they will not blow team out like they did before. The pats can win and lose any giving sunday just like every other team. The pats will most likely go all the way and win but if they mess up I will dance the night away!

I am TheUnknownSeries and that is my opinion. (00 :afro3: :afro4: :afro5: :afro2: :muscle:

No, I said it would be close in the first half, the Pats will adjust and then come out and win by around 20 in the second half. They only won by 11 should have won by 15 if not for a drop, Here, let me reprint the blog from Thursday:

Jaguars at Patriots: A lot of people are picking the Jags to shock the world. They won’t. It will be close the first half, but when all is said and done, Pats 35 Jags 14. The Jags big bad defense is not as good as it has been in past years, and their offense can not put up the kind of points against the Pats 4th ranked defense to keep up. For the Jags to win, they will have to win the turnover battle, score on special teams, score on defense, and limit the Pats to 20 points. Even if they still do that, they still might lose.

Seattle at Green Bay: Green Bay should win the game and win big, and I don’t think Seattle has any chance in this game unless Brett Favre reverts to the Brett Favre of 1996. Green Bay 24 Seattle 17. More from GB possibly

SD at Indy: The only way this would be more of a blow out is if the Pats were playing San Diego. Colts 38 Chargers 10

Giants at Dallas: This is the most interesting game of the weekend. If Eli continues his maturity and play like he has the past few weeks, Giants will have shot. Also going against Dallas: TO’s injury, their poor play over the past 4 weeks, and Wade Phillips. I am still going with the home team off the bye though, look for a close game. Dallas 21 NYG 17.

If you look at that game, the Pats did what they typically against good team, they pull away in the second half, they adjust to whatever game you will give them.

Yes, and I realize the Pats have become the New York Yankees of Football

TheUnknownSeries - January 13, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
Ah I will just drop it and post my view on the nfl topic one day

I just want the Colts and Giants to win today.

All I am trying to say is that the Jags gave them a game and they Pats will ave better team going after them later in the playoffs or next year.

Shadow - January 13, 2008 07:57 PM (GMT)
I think at this point the team with the best chance of beating the Patriots are the Packers. I think Green Bay has enough offense to compete with the Patriots, but I still think the Patriots would win.
