It's about time CN brought a fairly recent and good anime to their network, although I'm a bit shocked they chose this one due to it's graphic comment. Of course, after Spike unleashed Afro Samurai...nothing shocks me anymore when it comes to content.

As of last Saturday Cn began airing Blood+ which is based off of a very pretty, very short, very pretty, and very graphic movie(I would barely call it that since it's only 45 minutes long). Don't worry if you've never seen the movie because the series(other than vampires and the main characer) has little to do with the film...which is a good thing in my book since the movie was nothing more than a glorified animation demo.

In a nutshell, and without spoilers, it's the story of a young girl names Saya and her family(father and two brothers). Saya has no memory before coming to live with her adoptive family. Well, one night vampires come to town(big word I'm too lazy to look up, but it's something like Chiroptereans). These vampires are more of the hulking werewolf-like variety. So weird stuff happens and Saya turns out to be a vampire hunter. Honestly, the 1st episode is easily summed up so if you decide to watch it tonight(check your local listings....I'm lazy) you won't be too far behind.

Basically they introduce the main characters, including the spooky guy who is apparently following Saya. There's a strange murder at her school. She and the weird guy end up in the building. She sees a Vampire. She freaks. spooky guy reveals he has this weird looking hand, feeds her some of his blood, her eyes go all red...and they roll the credits.

Wow, they've picked up this series? I've watched up to the Vietnamese school arc and I personally liked it. ^^
