can it be game sprites, like megaman x or sonic?

It can be if you make the sprites and they're within the proper size limitations. I can assure you, however, that I'm not going to award the prize to someone who just went to a sprite site, downloaded a sheet, and put them together to make a cheap animation. There's no work involved in that process. I could do that in a matter of minutes. Waittasec...I have done that before out of boredom.

What program do you use for animating the smilies? Is there a free trial?

Amazing what one could learn if they had read the original post about this contest, but(as an example) let's pretend that you win for a momment. Your winning submission would be added to the clickable smilies listing and the code to use it would be something like :Choas:. Think of it as a way to make a very perminant mark on the forums.

While animation is optional, it is something you could do for your submission if you wish to attempt it. Personally, I use Animation Shop. If you search for the word "Animation" on download.com and then narrow the search by your OS and the word "free" then you can find serveral options, including an older version of Animation Shop(version 1.1).

Honestly, myself and The Higher Powers thought something like this might happen. After the posts, PMs, and other various interest on this contest we came out of it with....2 entries.

It's been suggested that this might be due to it being the Holiday Season. So, I'm going to put this little question out there to the masses.

If you didn't enter, and you had additional time(a deadline extension) would you actually use the time to enter?

If I get some positive feedback on this then I will consider extending the deadline in the interest of getting more submissions. This would also mean(in the interest of making it fair) I would give the two people who already entered this contest the chance to make additional adjustments to their submissions and send them again(only if they so wish it).

I will leave this option open for the next 48 hours. So if you missed your chance and just need more time...this would be the time to say so. Otherwise, we will proceed with what we have. :angelic:

Yeah, I made one but forgot to send it in due my being on vacation.

Hey, that's a third one...might as well send it in and we'll see what this all shapes up to be. I do wish more people had taken an interest though. :ashamed:
