this is the very 1st anime i must have seen. i was like 9 or 10 at that time so i didnt pay much attention to the series. however remembering bits and pieces of it now, im quite sure it was one awsome anime.
its about this kid (recca) who has this elemental fire power. his village had warriors who used magical weapons. but the shougan had the village slaughteres hand took away the weapons. recca's mother sent him into the future using a forbidden technique which curses the user with immortality.

the story takes place in present day where he and his friends have to fight his evil brother (yes, not really quite original) who can also use flames and collect as many sacred weapons as possible.

or atleast thats wat i can remember. ^^;;

but its an great series nonetheless. give it a try.
