Oplasma45 - February 21, 2006 06:30 AM (GMT)
Hmmm....alas, if I could only find some old "action figures" and um....*COUGH*Rip off Twisted Toyfare Theater*COUGH* *COUGH*

Enigma Zero - February 21, 2006 06:32 AM (GMT)
You can..just make the images yourself(use Ebay or something) and leave the word balloons blank.

Naruko - February 21, 2006 11:38 AM (GMT)
Holy cow, your actualy doing this O_O

I thought this would be another one of your projects you just leave and wvwntually, everyone forgets

Sugar Zee Bob - February 22, 2006 01:15 AM (GMT)
i dont understand the project, could you expand on it?

Enigma Zero - February 22, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Pretty much, in a nutshell, pretend like you're running the next Caption Contest. Make the image you would use for that contest. I showed some of the examples that I've used for the contest and if you're still a tad foggy on how it works(because you might have missed those contests) then the threads are still in this forum(they're on page 2). :D

Oh and Naruko... :P

Sugar Zee Bob - February 22, 2006 06:10 AM (GMT)
ok i get it; but where's the image? are we supposed to make our own?

Enigma Zero - February 22, 2006 06:21 AM (GMT)
The point of the Graphical Showdown contest is the artwork. You make the image(without words of course) and the winner has their image used in an actual Caption Contest we'll have here next month. It's all in the post. ;)

Sugar Zee Bob - February 22, 2006 06:31 AM (GMT)
ah, i see......i'll start workin' on it XD

Sugar Zee Bob - February 22, 2006 07:00 AM (GMT)

Choas_Dragoon - February 22, 2006 11:03 PM (GMT)
I ave the idea form mine. It's okay for a little cut & paste right?

Enigma Zero - February 23, 2006 03:30 AM (GMT)
It doesn' thave to be hand drawn. If you look at my examples those were cut and paste, but I went into the images and did alot more work to make it my own. I didn't do a photorealistic picture of Ludacris by hand...I'm not that good. ;)

The main point is to do the majority of the work yourself. You can cut and paste, but don't make your submission nothing but one image pasted onto another one. THat's as bad as some of these people who steal banners from the internet and use paint o slap their names into it. You have to put some work into this to win it.

As another example, if you look at the Hunchbacks Caption COntest then you'll see that I cut the 4 images from other images and used the background a background that I found form the Disney Movie. Then I...

-Mirrored the background so I could have two towers instead of one.
-Added another layer so I could blend the sky and background together to erase any odd looking places.
-Placed the images into the background where I wanted them.
-Added some layers overtop and underneath those.
-Went into those layers and edited the towers so that the people looked like they actually belonged there.
-Went into the individual images and erased body parts to give the illusion of them standing behind railings and such.
-Added a final layer and fixed anything that looked 'funky.'
-Signed it, saved it, uploaded it, and had a contest with it.

So, as you can see, I used cut and paste to get the majority of the images...but I went several steps beyond that to make one image. If you look at the Scream/Yoda one then you'll see that it almost looks like a real image from the movie. That, in the end, is what you're aiming for. You want a submission that looks like it was created that way and isn't a slapped together photoshop image. ;)

Malach - February 23, 2006 04:20 AM (GMT)
I might enter this

Choas_Dragoon - February 23, 2006 11:55 AM (GMT)
well.......mine we just be for laughs and giggles. If it was huge, it would've been easier to do it. at least I have the humor factor.

Enigma Zero - February 28, 2006 10:13 PM (GMT)
As of this posting there has been 1 entry. Just so you know.

Choas_Dragoon - February 28, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
So, if I am the only one who sent in a submission, do I win by default?

Malach - February 28, 2006 10:49 PM (GMT)
I sent one this morning, didja get it?

Hong Majin Fox - March 9, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
Haha. I'm not even trying. The best thing I can come up with is a scribble that looks like a stick figure.

Tri Clown Ball - March 9, 2006 02:59 AM (GMT)
I'm having trouble thinking of an idea. :/

Enigma Zero - March 9, 2006 03:45 AM (GMT)
Do some random image hunting on Yahoo/Google...or just watch some television and try not to think of an idea...then see if something just pops into your head.

Tri Clown Ball - March 10, 2006 10:05 PM (GMT)
I've still got nothing...I guess I'm just not good at finding the right pics..

Enigma Zero - March 10, 2006 11:23 PM (GMT)
You have time...it'll come to you. ;)

AutoC - March 11, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
