Title: Cartoon Network - Sneak Peak

Enigma Zero - December 19, 2005 06:04 AM (GMT)
I was trying to get Orbit to work tonight, fat lot of good that did I can tell you, when I noticed an add for something called "Sneak Peak." Apparently CN is about to premiere 4 new shows from the 26th to the 29th of this month. Here's what I could find out so far...

My Gym Partnet's a Monkey:
Through a mixup in Paperwork, twelve-year-old Adam Lyon is Accidently transferred to Charles Darwin Middle School, where all the students and faculty are animals.

Apparently this one is being put together by Cartoon Network Studios.

Ben 10:
Found an Article on this one that you can read Here. This one looks like it could be interesting...even though it strongly reminds me of Kid Chameleon for Sega Genesis...only as a television series. Although, that might not be a bad thing.

Also, while looking up info on this show I found out CN is apparently working on two other shows called Squirrel Boy and Sophistifunk. They also appear to be in works for another season of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends, Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Juniper Lee, and Camp Lazlo for 2006.

Robotboy:
Here's some information I found on this series. You can read it by clicking Here.

Zixx: Level Two:
Oh no...no...say it isn't so. I did some digging on this one based on the picture that CN provided and my fears are apparently coming true. This new series has Real People in it. Ontop of being the second show I can think of that's discraced the very concept of Cartoon Network by having real people as cast members, this show is starting on Cartoon Network in it's second season, which makes no sense to me. Now I'm not usually one to so harshly judge a new series before watching it...but...but this one just looks so bad. Of course you don't have to take my word for this...you can check it out yourself.

Level Two

If you want to check out the actual Cartoon Network page for all these shows then Click Here. Be forwarned, however, the links to watch the clips don't work because I don't think they've updated the clips section yet. Course, if you want to watch a clip for IGPX..then go right ahead. :D

What will 2006 hold for Cartoon Network? Well that's anyone's guess...but in 7 days we should know more. Until then....cross your fingers.

Ben 10 looks like a promising series. I can see where your coming from with Kid Chameleon. They all ready have a cToon released for this show.

I really can't stand any of CN's current shows at all, and the fact that they didn't have Toonami on Xmas Eve slightly aggravated me.....

Yeah, but by that logic I could look at most anime and say, "Oh great, another cartoon that mocks Disney." If you're up on your anime history you'll know that I'm basically right. There's nothing wrong with emulating another style in an attempt to grow and evolve into something new when it comes to animation. If this practice did not exist then we would not have anime in the 1st place. ;)

Allow me to simplify all of that with one small fact...

Bambi = The Creation of Anime. ;)

Also, to remain on topic here, I would like to say that I actually managed to be home when one of these cartoons aired this week. I watched Robotboy tonight...and it wasn't half bad. I'd like to see more of this show before I make an official verdict on it...but I liked what I saw tonight. :D

Enigma, where did you come up with this fact? Is this a personal opinion or do you have some reasoning behind this simplification?

Also to stay on topic, I'm less than pleased with the lastest selection of new shows on CN.

Um yeah, need we remind you that telling others to stay on topic is not a job for the members but the premiums, since it is spam? Also Engima was just making a point to answer a question of Fujiwara. Now, you can get back on topic.

Umm yeah. :) Where did I tell anyone to stay on topic? :) I've noticed moderaters read fast and reply to quickly as of late because of all the topics to read but was not concerning my posts so I stayed silent. Now it does and now you get my opinion and concern from my own experience of being a Mod. The question was to his reply, nothing more and I made an on topic comment as well.

(sigh)
