I'm curious to know if anyone here owns or has ever read C++: The Complete Reference by Herbert Schildt? On amazon it has very good reviews. I'm searching for a book because currently the most advanced program I've created (if any is curious I'm coding on a Mac) is a mailing address creator. Of course it is essentially a bunch of cout's and getline's, so really a program where the user chooses values and they are multiplied and added involving if's and else's (I just happen to like the mailing address creator more).
My plan is once I've mastered (I use the term mastered lightly, extremely lightly) and then buy some books about game programming and giving my try. Fortunately, I will have a lot of summer vacations ahead of me (I'm a freshmen in high school right now).
Book recommendations welcome.
i like the deitel & deitel programming books. Ebay has lots of good deals on programming books :)
