i posted some time ago about having problems with segmentation faults (
http://invisionfree.com/forums/CPPlearning...?showtopic=3955 )
but since they only occured very unfrequently i have just ignored it until this point. yesterday i was installing and updating a bunch of stuff and everything started giving segfault errors. so today i tried what normally fixes the problem and just reformat and start from scratch. but now when trying many different linux install cd's i get segfaults randomly throughout the install. also i have noticed that i can no longer created any partitions larger than around 9gb without the partition programs freezing up.
wtf could be causing this? i haven't made any changes to the hardware in many months, and all the ribon cables, power cords are all hooked in properly.
