Title: Hangman's escape

dr voodoo - February 20, 2005 07:27 PM (GMT)
This is another little game I have made using Allegro. It's a remake of an old game of mine which I have written for GM so some might already know what it's about.

Hangman's escape

I'll leave it to the people who download it to figure out what the type of the game is but I can say so much, it's not a hangman clone. :drvoodoowink:

Source code included.

well it took me a while to get it to run correctly , all the commandline stuff kind of had me confused and the gui prompt for graphics dident seem to work so i just kept trying random combinations of things till i got it to work. but ya nice game and concept. a note to others- be sure you read the readme first!

Dr voodoo, I can't say anything besides...nice work!
And it's just my luck, I was looking for a game to play yesterday. :P

Extract the exe into the same directory as level.dat

Running it without any commandline should work in nearly all cases. :drvoodoowink: What did you pass as commandline when the gui prompt didn't work? It works just fine for me.

Thanks for the feedback.

I've been to that page. The games were very nice. I never played this one yet though. I'm just about playing now.

OMOGMGOMOMGOG I BEAT LEVEL 4!!!!!!! I DID IT!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it... I never tought it was actually possible! :D :D :D

PS: after lvl 4, everything is easy. sigh, I thik I counted 6 lvls. dr voodoo you should really continue this hangman thing! it's SO FUN! (nice E N D lvl to end the whole thing :P, although easier than lvl 1, really).

dr voodoo - February 23, 2005 03:10 PM (GMT)
You can add your own levels. Just open level.dat with a text editor.

Gmakermaniac!!! - February 23, 2005 04:23 PM (GMT)
crap, I'll never get past level 4

Shackleb0lt - February 23, 2005 05:54 PM (GMT)
level 4 ain't so hard. once you get to the first "small" plataform, you just have to quickly press <-(left arrow) two times (really fast, and a third time would get you off the plataform). then jump as long as you can, because you can't jump past the polataform (I'm pretty sure of that), but you can perform a short jump, having to start again. repeat the same for the net two little plataforms et voilá.

PS: I did time attack and my time was 2:24:08 for the six levels. I'll try to do it in less than two minutes, but I think it's impossible, the only way is to beat the six levels without loosing once.

Excellent game! The controls take a while to get a handle on but after that it's great fun.

A.R.T.games - March 22, 2006 03:02 AM (GMT)

I get a 404 error page :(

Viper - March 22, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
No, you get a 403 forbidden. You gotta open the link in a new window/tab because hotlinking isn't allowed.
