I was looking online for a tutorial for people like me with no expearience what so ever and I found a good one that explains almost everything that you may not know. This tutorial explains what things are before it explains how they work so its great when you have no experience. heres a link to it

Apart from the using of old non-standard headers, and the tutorial being half complete....

I know what you're trying to say, but even with those problems in mind (most beginners without know), it still doesn't look that detail to me.... Have you looked at dr voodoo's tutorial?

I read it but I found it confusing(which is weird because I usualy understand things very easily) I just find that this tutorial is layed out so it explains the little things that dr. vodoo may have forgot about or somthing. Also I tryed the hello world program and it flashed up for like half a second and went away how do you fix that?

Read either our FAQ or dr voodoo's tutorial - common problems. Or better yet, read both! :D

Could you tell what you find confusing so that I could perhaps change a few things.

At the end of the same page I show 3 ways to prevent this...
