Hi, for the past week I have been experiancing technical difficulties with my gamecube. Someone touched tle lense (4 the lazer) and I cleened it with q-tips and "russian vadka" (40% auchuahal ( <_< ouch))). I put in a very clean disc and it says "NO DISK". Any Ideas what may be wrong.

hmm well if the vodka dident get evaporated then i suppose that could cause problems.... isnt there something better to clean lenses with :lol:

what i think is funny is all the problems with disk-driven consoles that never existed with the old cartridge style. the last cartridge console was the n64 wasent it? i think the n64 has the coolest control ever....

are you sure it's the lazer that's the problem? I touch the lazer on my cd players all the time with my bare fingers and nothing ever happens. It might be something else...

JLM: That is possable, but the disk was so clean that I could make someone think it's new. Also, I didn't se anything that can block the path of the lazer. I read somewhere that ps2 gets disc read errors but I dont think that's related to gamecube.

ih8censorship: N64 Is the best console ever!!! Great games, no graphics over gameplay (well, not as much), and best of all is that there are no disks to get scratched. The only bad thing is that the controle sticks seem to weare out.

You should use spetial cleaning Cd for cleaning lasers and not vodka !

Darn it! It had no usefull parts. It's in a million peaces now exept for the cards, which arejustone huge curcit board! Justa huge square! No graphics card for me :(

When my cds dont work I use Albanian MoonShine (strong stuff)
and it gets them to work

that is the same with me. i need help with my gamecube too. i think my lnse is scratched or something. i heard there is a laser too? where is that located? i also bought special cleaning stuff for cleaning but my gc isnt accepting it. and also i have tryed 2(not 1 but 2) bran new discs and they still didnt work. have any ideas? and if my lense is scratched what do i do?

Maybe try contacting Nintendo, they will probably fix it, I wouldn't expect it to be cheap. You might be better off buying a used one.

LMFAO, Well your in lucky here is a site were u can watch both of them (anime) for FREE, but if u get member ship u can get fullscreen and high quality, but w/o it u have a larger screen and thats about it but still good, and its full episodes to not like youtube(wat a waste i dont like it) and the site is:here, and there is alot mroe animes than just those two, but some are removed because they have been licenced
