Several occuring characters resemble some from Alias and at least one/two from M*A*S*H, by name or personality. Lol.

The protagonist is a former RPG character of mine .... so she resembles me the most.

Protagonist: Lt. Leeta Gill, former Chief Communcations Officer, is supposedly training to be a JAG/Diplomatic Officer.

Captain Jack Weiss - CO - lol, as for allusions, think spydaddy, lol ... definately not as 'soft' as Weiss ...
Commander Amanda Tippin - (retiring) Chief Diplomatic Officer/JAG, Leeta's immediate supervisor - kind of like Will ... despite being a diplomat.
Lt. Linda Barnett - psychologist, since this is a special assignment - lol, obvious who I'm alluding to ...

(civilian) Sandra Dixon - Syd's cousin, civilian reporter - just like Marcus Dixon .....
Ambassador Michael St. Martin (possible cameo) - former Counselor, turned civilian diplomat, Leeta's 'brother figure' - a former character from the same RPG as Leeta.
Lt. Commander Margaret Pierce - Leeta's 'sister' since Academy training, army brat - Major Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan (M*A*S*H), actually written as a possible descendant, and a dead ringer for her.
Ensign Peter Martin - Leeta's Fiance who is stationed elsewhere - no one in particular, is a former supporting character/love interest for my character.
Captain Kellye 'Luau' Blake - Leeta's former CO/ future step-mother in law - Lt. Colonel Henry Blake (M*A*S*H)
