Messing with Alias? If you're an Alias fan, you've probably heard the rumor that Debra Messing is set to guest star. Not one to take any kind of Alias possibility lightly, I went straight to the man who'd know: exec producer JJ Abrams. I also threw in a few extra Q's for good measure, as we can always use a good spy fix. Chickity check it...

One rumor going around is that Lena Olin is leaving the show. Another is that Debra Messing is guest starring as a relative of Vaughn's. What's the what?
You have to watch to see what happens with Lena. As for Debra Messing, I'm a fan, but her name has never come up in terms of her appearing on the show.

Now that Sydney and Vaughn have hit a snag, should we expect another man in her life?
There is another man: Jack. Oh, that's not what you meant. Watch and see...

Where did the idea for Evil Francie come from? And say the "Vaughn's a clone" rumor is false.
The idea came from hating Francie and wanting to do something interesting with her. As for any of the other characters being doubles, the answer is no.

How do you feel about your time slot? What about being paired with Dragnet?
We've been doing well--relatively speaking--Sundays at 9 p.m., so that's fine for now. However, I wouldn't mind getting a good lead-in next year.

What's coming up? Are finale plans in place?
We're mapping out that story now. And the first episode of next year is gonna open with a huge shock. We're giddy like idiots over here.

Oscar, I'm grouchy. No new ep this week because of some silly awards show. On the next new ep, called "Mindgame,"(I think this is a typo on her behalf) Christian Slater's back, and Sloane's on the warpath (not so pleased about Emily dying, of course). Sydney tries to step in and save Slater's character, who's still being held captive. And Dixon finally becomes a card-carrying member of the CIA, despite that whole "Oops, I killed the only mother Sydney ever knew" thing. How tragic was that, by the way? Though I must admit, I did a little dance, made a little love, when I realized it was Emily, not Irina, who died. (See, I am eville.)

Just got another poem from that reliable source who told me all about the evil-dead Francie sitch, and then dished that three characters are doomed. Here goes: "One went down / Just like I said / Just wait. Two more / Will soon be dead."

Just curious, because you're all guessing my boy Will...where did you get that inkling? I don't believe I hinted at him, did I? Do tell! Ah, Jesus. Just realized where you guys got that. My source had capped the start of each line of the poem. Will was the start of that line, so don't read too much into that! All I know is that two more will die, and I cannot tell you who. Though, now, hmmm...now you guys have me wondering if my Alias source meant to imply my sweet beloved. No, too painful a thought. Can't go there.


Looks as though the mourning doesn't stop with good 'ol Emily.... 1 down and 2 to go....

Wait, two people have already died-- Francie and Emily. So doesn't that mean only one more person has to die? Or is Francie not actually dead? Or am I really stretching this?
