Alias media had a link to dark turn and someone posted this there.

The episode opens with “last season on Alias”. It shows some clips of Sydney and Vaughn, Sloane, ECT. Anyway in the end we end up right where we left off:
Vaughn telling Sydney she has been missing for nearly two years. He continues by telling her the agency called him to meet with her. They wanted someone familiar to her to be her first contact. Sydney asks well why not her father. (That’s what I’ve been screaming about all summer.) Vaughn says he can’t tell her about that because he’s not CIA any more, so I assume it is because he doesn’t know. Vaughn goes on to tell her that he left the CIA after her death and he’s now a teacher. (Insert “What?!?” Here)

There is this nifty flashback of Sydney’s burned house. Dixon walking through the rubble, and a devastated Vaughn sitting on the ground by a covered body, which is ‘Syd’.
Vaughn tells her that her house was burned and Will survived but she didn’t. (What puzzles me about this flashback is that we see Dixon there and not Jack. I would assume he would be there too, maybe this will be explained later.) Dixon doesn’t explain what happened to Will or how he even survived. I guess that’s coming later too.

Anyway, Vaughn tell Syd that they need to get back to the USA and Syd acts like she is complying but then she attacks Vaughn and starts strangling him with an electrical cord. Screaming that he can’t be the real Vaughn, demanding that he tell her what is really going on. A guard comes in and Sydney kicks his butt as well as Vaughn’s and runs out of the room. She does some more ass kicking until she is shot by a tranquilizer dart from Vaughn, and passes out.

We go through the haze with Sydney, and when she comes to she’s in a CIA hospital. And Dixon walks in. He confirms that everything Vaughn said was true. Sydney asks to see her father. Dixon says she can’t. She demands to talk to Kendall. Dixon says that Kendall is no longer the director of their division, he is. He tells her that her father is in prison, in solitary confinement, with a strict order of no visitors, what so ever! He has been there for nearly a year. (Yikes! Spydaddy’s been in solitary for a year!! Six months nearly did him in years ago. Now I’m worried.)
Anyway, There is this NSC, National Security Council, dude who has it in for Jack big time.

There’s also an important point made somewhere in here about that scar. Sydney doesn’t remember it. It is shown again in the episode. So it’s bound to be important, but it’s not explained yet.

Anyway, Weiss walks in and says hello, Sydney says he looks good, lost weight, Yadda Yadda, Eric takes Dixon out side Sydney’s clear glass door (the door is important.) to talk about a mission that is having some trouble. (It doesn’t make a lot of sense what they say but it come into play a little later. So recall what you can.) They talk about an agent, a microchip, and a hideout in France.

We have a scene on a train in France where these baddies are shooting everyone, and this agent guy gets up and fights back. They catch him and they want the microchip. They torture him a bit and he tells them it’s in his shoe. The baddies have a device, and they know instantly that the chip is fake. They kill the agent and take all his possessions. Looking through his pockets they find a coin. The real chip is hidden in it. (Pretty neat looking, I must say.) Anyway the baddies now have the chip the CIA wants. (Sound like a mission anyone?)

Back in Syd’s room, she seems to be dreaming and then wakes up. Weiss is there, and she tells him that she remembers. That she knows what happened to her. They go to the CIA ops center. Marshall comes up to Syd and reintroduces himself. Syd laughs and says that she remembers him and they hug. Kerry Bowman is there too. She is pregnant with Marshall’s baby, but (get this) they are not married. She has a thing about getting married. So we will see how this all progresses later.

Syd is taken to a briefing where she is telling what she ‘remembered’ to Dixon and the NSC dude. The CIA is planning a raid on this house. The safe house is for the new baddie faction the Covenant. Sydney claims to have been held in this house. The NSC dude wants her to go along. Dixon doesn’t, but Sydney says she will go along, under on condition. She gets to see her father. After a bit of auguring about how he doesn’t want to ever do a favor for Jack Bristow, he relents and allows her to see him.

One strange personal note, Weiss drives Sydney to see Jack and he is driving a new Pontiac Grand Prix, (I love that car) which is a GM Vehicle. This only shocks me because we all know how Ford seemed to have the car market cornered on Alias. Does this mean no more Ford commercials in the show? We can only hope.

Anyway, inside the prison Sydney is seated at a table with a wall of glass in front of her. It’s the prison visiting room. (Jack is not in Irina’s old cell, as was said before, he is in real prison.) They bring Jack in. He looks terrible. (My heart just broke for him.)
He is surprised and happy to see Syd, but he doesn’t convey it too much. It’s all in his eyes. (It’s just classic Victor Garber. And this man didn’t win an Emmy? Boggles the mind really.) Anyhow, Sydney asks why he is here. He tells her that after her death he was consumed with finding who killed her, and he turned to the one person who he knew he could trust under the circumstances, Her mother. The NSC saw it as treason and locked him up. Sydney is shocked that he worked with Irina. (Somehow we DTs are not.) Anyway, she has this watch that Marshall gave her that interferes with listening devices for 90 seconds. (Just like Jack’s Pen, Remember from season one.) Well she activates it. She tells Jack that she lied to the CIA about remembering the building in France. She lip-read Weiss and Dixon when they were taking about it outside her clear glass door. (See I told you the door was important.) Jack asks her why she did that. She says to use it as leverage to see him. He pleads with her to stay on the CIA’s good graces. Because he has Intel there that she needs. She must retrieve his secret files. Jack says he knew she was alive. He has files that proved that to him and just as he is about to go into more detail. The watch beeps, Time is up. Sydney has to leave, but she tells Jack she loves him and Jack says he loves her too. (It was so sweet!)

Anyway, Sydney and Weiss and a CIA team go to France to this safe house. It goes badly and all the agents are killed except Weiss and Sydney. Sydney actually saves Weiss from this one guy herself. More Syd ass kicking here. Anyway after the fights are over and everyone is dead or run off, Sydney admits to Weiss that she knew nothing about this place, and now she feels guilty about the deaths of the other agents. She saw one of the baddie’s faces. And she wants to find him. She needs contacts to help her. Weiss suggest someone she could go see but she isn’t going to like it, because that someone is Sloane.

He explains that Sloane got an immunity deal and is living in Zurich. Sydney runs off leaving Weiss behind telling him they never had this conversation. When Weiss gets back without Sydney, the NSC guy has her listed as a rouge agent.

Anyway, Sydney goes to see Sloane. She just walks into his office and confronts him. Sloane somehow already knows why she is there and he hands he a file on the guy she is looking for. (How does he know, we don’t know.) Anyway, he talks about how Il Dire was a message of peace to him and how his new company feeds children around the world, ECT. He starts to get all “I’ve always loved you like a daughter” with Syd and she has had enough of it so she slams him down on the table and put a knife to his neck, demanding to know what he did to her. He pleads with her that things have changed. She sees a magazine, CEO magazine to be exact, with Sloane on the cover. She lets him go. Takes the information he gave and leaves.

Back in France she calls around until she finds a contact that she knows, who is still active. He helps her by getting her the op tech she needs to get the baddie. This is the scene you guys have probably seen with her saying she doesn’t need backup, but she does need clothes. Anyway, Syd gets all dressed up in the red dress and auburn wig you have seen in the promos, and then she drives off in a red Ferrari! (See still no Fords.)

She is next standing in the middle of this alley as a car is approaching. The car slows as she smiles. The baddie she’s looking for is in the front passenger seat. As the car stops she pulls out her little grenade launcher and blows up the car. The baddie guy leaps from the car right before it explodes. He fights with Sydney. And seems to get the upper hand but our girl prevails and he falls on his own knife and Sydney gets what she came for, the microchip hidden in the coin. She drives off in that Ferrari again. (I love Ferraris; I even have the emblem tattooed on my left ankle. Oh sorry, you don’t really need to know that, so I’ll get back to the eppy.)

So Sydney walks into CIA headquarters all defiant. Remember she is a wanted woman at this point. This whole scene is oddly reminiscent of the pilot when Syd returns to SD-6 with the Rambaldi device. I think they planned it that way. Anyway, she walks into Dixon’s office this time and the NSC dude is there too. She shows them the chip, but she says that if they want the chip then she wants her father released. Oh the chip has some kind of spy plane plans on it or something like that, sorry I didn’t mention that earlier.

Anyway, if they don’t release Jack immediately, she will destroy the chip. To emphasize her point she pulls out a small blowtorch and threatens to burn the chip. Dixon believes her. The NSC dude doesn’t. Sydney demands Jack’s immunity in writing. And starts counting down from 5. Dixon tells him she’s not bluffing. As the count gets down to one and she is about to burn the chip, the NSC dude gives in and writes an immunity letter for Jack.

There is this scene where Sydney and Vaughn face off once more, but I can’t remember exactly where it fell in the episode, maybe it’s before she sees Jack in prison the first time. I don’t know, I’m sorry, but it’s the scene you might have seen where she tells Vaughn that she would have waited if she had been in his place. All I really know is that this doesn’t take place at the CIA, because remember Vaughn is not CIA anymore so he can’t be there. Anyway, She tells him that he is only there to see her to try to clear his conscience and that she is not going to grant him that by saying she understands why he did what he did. She tells him, (and this is harsh,) that she would have never given up on him. She would have never stopped looking for him. But now she sees what a true waste that would have been. And she walks away. (Now Jack waited 20 years for Irina, but Syd didn’t even wait 2 years after Danny before falling for Vaughn. This is a little the pot calling the kettle black for me.)

Anyway, in the home stretch now, Sydney is sitting at her desk at the CIA talking with Weiss, I don’t remember what about, but who cares because they both turn and see Jack walking into the Ops center. Jack is clean-shaven and in a suit. (I think Victor lost weight. He looks good.) Sydney and Jack approach each other and without hesitation HUG!! (Oh we have been waiting two years and it is sooo worth it!!) Jack tells her Thank you. And as the slowly pull apart he touches her hair and face. It is too sweet.

Jack tells her he has to show her something, but not here. Jump cut to some remote place. Jack is showing her something on his laptop computer. He shows her a picture of a guy who he had under surveillance. Sydney says she has never seen him before. Jack plays a video of a camera he hid in the guy’s office. The guy is sitting at his desk when a blonde woman enters. He greets her. The woman is Sydney. This is how Jack knew she was alive. As the guy turns away from her, blonde Sydney pull a knife slits his throat. Sydney can’t believe what she is seeing.

ALIAS - end of episode.
