I posted this in response to something on AA. This is just what I think. I didnt get this from anyone, no hard facts or anything....just my opinion of how things might turn out...

Anyway...
I dont even think that 2 years even passed by. As a matter of fact Im not even worried about Vaughn being married anymore because I know that JJ wouldn't do that. JJ would have nothing to gain by it and almost everything to lose.
The Fans, the Cast, and even him were frustrated by the constant sexual tension between Syd & Michael. This was just something to keep us interested in to show over the summer. Just like making us almost believe that Vaughn was dead. (which I never did, I predicted right after I saw the ep for the first time that he got out through and air vent.)
So anyway guys I am very optimistic that we have nothing to worry about. We dont have to worry about if he is married, we dont have to worry about how they will ever get back together, and we dont have to worry about the 2 years passing by.
It just wouldnt be ALIAS-like for any of that to happen.
I hope some of my words helped put some hope into your hearts. ^_^

yeah. well i had 2 theories to ease my mind on the vaughn situation.

1) i was thinking maybe it's just an engagement ring which would make it easier for him to break out of.

2) otherwise the theory i like most is this(it's actually a really sweet thought too): ok so vaughn was soooooooooooo depressed about syd disappearing he wore a ring on his finger for her because he knew there would be no one like her that would make him that happy(except maybe me lol!) and it's just a ring to symbolize what he lost when syd disappeared.

i think it's a good way to look at it but i personally think that the two years should pass because it's a good twist. i get so sick of cool endings then the writer will say "oh, but it was all just a dream in the end" and it drives me crazy. i think syd being missing for two years will add a whole new mystery level to the show that keeps watchers keep on watching to see what happened. i think it's a good twist to the plot.

lol... yeah. he breaks them up and i can see about 10 million fans going to his house with an axe(one would be me) and we would not be going for a dinner party...

i agree VL i was worried only right after watching the finale but after that i knew nothing that bad could happen forver jj would be attacked ;lol

i kno! i mean, i don't think that JJ is stupid enough to do that unless he WANTS to be killed! cuz there are gonna be alot fo angry fans if those to get broken up (i'll be one of them)

i agree that this will be resolved

but i'm not so sure about this glimpse of the futre/time trvel thing. that seems weird to me.

the thing is it is too obvious for jj but i have full faith so no worries

JJ has his reasons. This really spices up the plot and it adds to the mystery of the prophecy. :ph43r:

Here's what might have happened during the two years she was missing...

1. Someone found Sydney and whisked her away. She shows up in Hong Kong wearing a heavy turtleneck sweater which might indicate she was somewhere cold. (i.e. Moscow with Mom or maybe, just maybe (weird thot) she found her way to the mountain where Conrad resides. :redhair:

2. According to Vaughn, Will is alive due to something Sydney did??? Another JJ mystery. Will, I think, after recovering joined the CIA and became the senior analyst that Sydney told him he could be (Second Double) :P

3. I think Freplica is also alive, because she was shot by Syd in the arm and both shoulders. So whoever found Syd might have included her in the "pick up". I think she's coming back next year... :angry:

4. Jack, dear Jack, has found Sloane or vice versa and is, my guess, with him. After all, Sydney's disappeared presumed dead. Irina disappeared and who knows where? He has no one and Sydney was his rock, the one thing that kept him centered. She's gone and why not go with the one person who cares about him (that he knows of) Sloane. :(

5. Vaughn was devastated by Sydney's death/disappearance, but after a period of mourning, he moved on...the ring was wedding ring. Men, typically do not, wear engagement rings. Sydney saw and recognized it as such. Is he married? I think so. Is he with the CIA? Probably because they wouldn't have called him to see Sydney if he wasn't? Even if he is married, you can be sure something will happen to change things, but not right away. :huh:

6. Sark? Hummm, what about him? Irina saw to it he was safely tucked away in the CIA operations center when everyone showed up in Mexico City? Will he escape? She might get him out some how. I think he'll be back too. :)

7. And we know Kendall is at the op center still. :innocent:

8. Marshall might be married to Carrie. :wub:

9. Weiss? I've a hunch about him. (See agents- characters).

My prognostication on what happened to our characters.
DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE on Syd and Vaughn...it will work out. JJ knows you are out there.

K yu are so right. Ah yes we have 19 days left. By now most of us know Vaughn is married for sure and it ain't Alice. I vote for our steady-eddie Good Old Will to come to her rescue ... to hold her hand and help through the travails she (JJ will see to that) will have to go through. B)

I think Jack will be looking for sydney and in cahoots with irina and one or both of them will get caught and my bet is jack because that man is doomed to be poster child of angst!! He has likely never forgiven himself for not anticpating this scenario. He thinks his daughter is alive and he is broken over where she could be or he has lost all hope becuase he thinks she has died. When she returns he will be forever affected - and I am not sure if he will be colder and harder to read or if he will feel he has been ganted a miracle. I suspect the former- as he knows she could disapppear again.

I think Will is working in the CIA likely as a full agent and freplica is in custody.
Of couse she isn't talking and our dear vaughn

He is married but his heart has alwsy belonged to sydney and this year he and alice will have marriage issues and Vaughn relives everyhting he wnet through when he thought syd was dead.

sloane is out there still obsessed with you know who

marshall and carrie are dating maybe married

sark is either in custody or has been extracted by irina and jack to find sydney

its gonna be an hour that will leave us panting for the next sunday night to roll around and so on - JJ intends to stick that knife into us and keep it there all year
