Dear Elsa: Vartan was engaged to Shannon Gleason for 10 years, but the last time I spoke to him about his romantic life, he assured me he was very much available--and expected to be so for the foreseeable future.

He blames his single situation on the women he comes in contact with in Hollywood. "So many of them," he says, "come with an agenda to make it in show business." He feels that instead of being attracted to him for himself, they're thinking he can get them ahead.

Well, ladies, maybe we do have some kind of a chance. But I ask you, how can you look that good and have such a great personality and still be single?

I honestly don't know, i hope he finds his one, he so deserves it, but those ladies he mentioned are just plain mean and selfish and are too dumb to see he's a great guy.

he is looking for real love, it seems. and when he finds the woman who makes him happy, he'll settle down. i hope he finds that special someone
