i think she's good and this whole possibly turning evil thing is all a part of some plot to help herself and sydney

Ya know, I dont think she is signed on for the next season. I sure hope she is, she is a great character and adds for of a twist to the great Alias plot.

Im sure that their first thought was to sign her on for one season. If they havent already they will probably sign her again because of what she brings to the show.

I've missed all the fun you are having. Why? Because I'm writing, writing and writing. And mostly about Irina...so since I'm going to do a column on her, I thought I would just add an idea or two.

I think we cannot say good or bad...because we've seen her in both modes. There are shades of white and black and that is where Irina operates.
I don't want to say any absolutes about her, but I can have a hunch or two.
I think Sydney is a key here (I say this because Alias is about Sydney and her life) and it is possible Irina's agenda may have something to do with her daughter. I guess we'll have to wait until "The Telling" to find out what the devious :ph43r: writers plan. B) The storyline is their baby.

B) The Telling has played and wasn't Irina spectacular? What a way to say "Good luck, sweetheart. I love you!" So now what do we think? When it comes to Sydney, she's is a mother watching and protecting her child. She loves her and will do anything to help. She's good on this for sure.
The problem happens to be that Sydney doesn't trust her yet and maybe with good reason. But as Irina said Sydney is as stubborn as she.
She also is about as cold-blooded and deadly as any criminal could be. She kills without hesitation whether it is slitting a throat or shooting villians in the back. :ph43r:

yes she did an awesome job but it strengthed my opinion of what i think are her motives... she loves syd. she just gets wrapped up in the rambaldi stuff and syd's the only person she wouldn't betray in finding what rambaldi knew.

I believe that since Sloane double-crossed her, as she was about to to him, she's going to be playing a big part in shepherding Sydney through, ah hem, the looking glass for the two missing years. Who knows, maybe since Jack went with Sloane (No spoiler because we know Sloane is so positive Jack is going to be with him), Irina was the one who found Sydney...damn, we have to wait until September for the writers' answers. :angry:
I have thought she was always good when it came to her family (that includes Jack) and a very tough lady in the rest of her life.
I know some people think she was awful to leave Jack and Sydney, but face it, she was not about to let the FBI arrest her. Yes, she spied on Jack, but remember the "illusion of our marriage was at times as great for me as it was for you, especially when Sydney was born." There was the first hint that she may have really loved him. Then it was confirmed in The Telling. :wub:
Irina Derevko is one of the most compelling, complicated women in fiction, especially made so by the actor playing the part. I'm sure every one of us wants her back next season. :ph43r:

I agree with you almost entirely! She married Jack because it was her mission, she fell in love with him of her own accord. Remember that Ukrainean woman Jack interogated because she was sent to spy on her mathematician of a husband? She really loved her husband, even though she wasn't ordered to.

I think Irina fell in love with Jack because she loves him, and she wasn't just married to him, she truly loves him.

I am a hopeless romantic. A closet romantic, but a romantic. I think that Jack and Irina share something. Maybe both of them have been trying to deny it, but they both share it.

He/She said it perfectly! I think this really sums up what Irina is. She has amazing passion. ANd good or bad, she is passionate about what she does, and that is an admirable quality!
