Above her bookstore in Diagon Alley is Claire's studio apartment.

Lici's head popped into the fireplace. Claire?! Alec?! Come on, one of you has to be here! She called out.

alec walked overt to the fireplace, hey lici...claire's at work right now...what do you need? he asked with a smile.

My parents are here, and they actually like Claire.Could you guys come over as soon as she's done? She asked hopefully.

alec nodded, yeah...yeah she can do that.... he said with a smile.

You too, mum will want to meet you as well. She told him.

yeah...sure...it should be fun to introduce her to her favorite granddaughter's ex convict... he said with a small smile.

Just don't let anything she says get to you, she can be very abrupt at times. Lici explained to him.

alec nodded, i'll keep my mouth shut half the time. she sounds like you and Em put together... he grinned.

She pretty much is. I've got to get back, but come over as soon as Claire get's home. She told him strictly with a small smile.

alec nodded with a girn, aye, aye liss. he said with a small salute.

Lici laughed and her head disappeared from the fire.

About half an hour later Claire walked into the apartment. Alec, I'm home. She called.

hey claire. your grandparents are in town and your mom wants us at her and nicks place...now... he smiled as he walked over to where she was.

My grandparents are in town? Jeez, mum must be freaking out. She said as she changed out of her work clothes.

yeah, i have a feeling that she didn't know they were gonna be visiting... he grinned with a soft laugh.

Claire swept her hair up into a messy bun and applied some make-up. Ok, I'm done. She told him with a smile.

and you look beautiful as always...is this okay...? he asked as he looked down at himself where he was wearing black jeans a white t-shirt and his black trench over it.

Lici walked over to him and kissed him. You look perfect.

alec grinned as he kissed her back, shall we go then...? he asked with a smile.

CLaire nodded. Apparate? She asked him. I'm not in the mood so get all sooty.

alec nodded, yeah. sounds good. he grinned.

Claire walked into the apartment and grabbed a butterbeer from the fridge on her way to collapsing on the couch. Alec wasn't home from work yet and she was actually looking forward to watching her soap opera for once.

alec walked in to the apartment with a tired sigh. stopping by the kitchen he grabbed himself one of the few muggle beers from the fridge that nick had gotten him as a bit of a gag welcome home gift before sitting down next to claire and kissing her cheek lightly. whatcha watching? he asked curiously as he glimpsed over to the tv.

Claire leaned into him. Eastenders. She said, her eyes briefly leaving the tv so she could lean up and kiss him.

alec made a face jokingly, you and your soap...what's happening today in the world of Eastenders...? he asked with a smile.

As if you don't love it. Claire teased. And not much, its a pretty boring episode actually. She explained, a bit let down because she had been stuck at school all week and not been able to watch it.

i kind of have to seeing as how i watch it for you when i come home from work... he smiled with a soft chuckle.

The episode finished and Claire muted the tv. You're too good for me. She grinned up at him.

alec shook his head, on the contrary my dear you are to good to me. he smiled with a grin.

Claire smiled. So what do you want for dinner? She asked him.

alec shrugged, i don't care. whatever your culinary skills wishes to create. he smiled.

Claire got up off the couch and pulled Alec up with her. Come on then, you get to help me. She grinned.

alec grinned at her with a nod, alright. what do you need me to do? he asked.

Can you cook the steak for me? I'll just make a salad to go with it. She told him, pulling two pieces of steak out of the fridge.

alec nodded with a grin as he set his beer down on the counter and went over to where the steaks had been left to marinade that afternoon in the fridge. any preference as to how i cook them...? he asked with a smile.

Claire shook her head. However you like them. She smiled at him.

alec nodded with a grin, i love when you give me that answer... he chuckled lightly as he placed the meat on a wire rack on the stove-top. igniting both his hands in flames he soon engulfed the meat and rack within them as he started to cook it.

Claire smiled to herself as she got out the stuff for a salad. So I've been thinking... She started off.

'bout what...? he asked asked as he glanced over at her quickly before looking back at what he was doing.
