In muggle london, not far from Piccadilly Circus, River and Cam's apartment is a small 2 bedroomed flat with a kitchen and living room as you walk in.

Cam walked into the apartment, carrying a shopping bag in each hand. Riv, I'm home. He called out, putting the bags on the kitchen counter.

river looked up from where she sat perched on one of the kitchen counters as he walked into the room. an empty butter beer bottle in her hand. what'd you get at the store? she asked with a raised brow.

Mostly just basics. Bread, milk flower. Some meat, I'm going to make beef stroganoff tonight. He told her, kissing her quickly before starting to put the groceries away.

river kissed him back with a smile as she rolled the empty bottle in her hands, that sounds great. she said with slight nod.

Cam moved her legs aside so he could put some stuff in the cupboards underneath her. So tomorrow, can you be ready at 10? He asked her.

huh? oh, yeah. course i can. she smiled with another nod. you mean in the morning right? she asked just to make sure.

Cam laughed. Yes in the morning. He told her.

river nodded again, yeah i can be ready by ten. do you have a prefered outfit you want me to wear...? she asked with a smile.

Cam smiled at her. You'll look perfect in anything. He told her.

river nodded thoughtfully, jeans and a t-shirt it is then. she grinned.

Cam stood up and put his hands on her waist, grinning as he pulled her towards him. Maybe something a bit dressier. He told her.

but, you said i could wear anything... she grinned as she placed her arms around his neck lightly.

But at the three broomsticks I told you that it had to be dressy but not too formal, I assumed you remembered that when I said anything. He pointed out with a grin.

river nodded, yeah i know, but just so i know what is your idea of dressy yet not too formal...? she asked with a small smile.

A dress, maybe some heels. He told her with a smile. No jeans. He added.

river bit her lower lip slightly, i should probably show you something... she said as she slid off the counter and took his hand before leading him into her room. going over to her dresser she opened each drawer and then opened her wardrobe. i don't own anything like that...i haven't for years... she said as she looked over at him.

Cam cringed. Actually, don't hate me for this, but Claire's going to help you with that. He said carefully.

river sighed as she rubbed her forehead lightly, i'm not going to wear a skirt cam... she said quietly.

Cam wrapped his arms around her waist. That's fine, you can't blame me for wanting to get a better look at those gorgeous legs of yours. He grinned at her. Just not jeans, the place I'm taking you to won't let you in if you're wearing jeans. He told her.

river nodded with a small smile and kissed his cheek lightly, i just don't like to wear skirts anymore is all... she said softly as a bit of a distant look came to her eyes.

Cam nodded. I know. He said, tilting her chin so she was looking at him. So will I be able to see those legs after dinner? He asked her with a grin.

river shook her head, no, not tonight. i'm kinda tired. was thinking of getting to sleep early actually. she said softly with a small smile.

Cam leaned down and kissed her cheek softly. That's fine. I guess I should start dinner then. He said, taking her hand and walking back into the kitchen.

river nodded and followed him back to the kitchen. so when is claire gonna be stopping by to help get me ready for your big outing surprise? she asked.

She tried to convince me to let her come over at 7:30. I told her to come over at 9. He explained to her with a smile.

smart boy....course i wouldn't be surprised if she came by at that time anyway... she said with a grin.

I've told her that if she comes before 9 then she's going to be left outside the door waiting until 9. He told her with a smile.

still wouldn't put it past her... she shrugged. if she really wanted to she would bring alec as back up so she would be allowed in. she grinned.

Then they'll both be waiting outside, because tomorrow morning I plan on sleeping in until at least 9:00, and you are going to join me. He explained with a grin.

i will be will i? and what makes you so sure about that...? she asked with a smirk.

Well it's either that or I let Claire loose on you with a curling iron. He threatened with a grin.

river thought for a moment, fine...but trust me i'm sore with you for the fact that i have claire coming over anyway to have me be her barbie doll... she said with a smirk.

She's under strict instruction to help with clothing choices and make up choices. She knows where we're going and she knows what you should be wearing. He explained.

river shrugged, its the principal of the thing.... she said with a grin.

Cam laughed as he started getting the pots out that he needed. Just don't make things too difficult for her.

alright. i won't... she nodded with a grin, but if she tries to get me to wear pink i can't make any promises. she added with a smirk.

She knows not to force you into pink. Cam told her confidently.

good. she smiled as she lifted herself up onto the table and watched him as he made dinner. don't even get why girls find the color so appealing... she said thoughtfully after a couple seconds in silence.

Well I don't know either, I'm not a fan of girls who wear pink. They always seem too preppy. He told her with a smile.
