Title: June: Movie Cast

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince! The very next upcoming film will be making its debut in only another month, both in IMAX and local theaters.

Who are you most excited to see re-appear again, and why?

Any particular moments in the book you hope to see in the film?

weasley_twin_lover - June 12, 2009 02:48 AM (GMT)
surprisingly i really want to see how Tom Felton does in this one. Draco gets so dark and depressed i want to see how well Tom can take on those emotions when he always seems really happy and almost bubbly normally.

James - June 12, 2009 03:34 AM (GMT)
Woohoo someone else voted for Evanna too!

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 03:44 AM (GMT)
That would be me.
For Alan and Evanna.

Mostly just because Luna is a nut, and I love seeing one of my favorite characters from the book, on the big screen.

James - June 12, 2009 03:45 AM (GMT)
High five, Ricky.

Yes, of all the characters, I believe Evanna portrays her character the best.

Lici - June 12, 2009 05:14 AM (GMT)
Tonks, because there really wasn't enough tonks in the last one.

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 05:26 AM (GMT)
True that. :P There really was a lack of witty sassyness in the last film.

Shawn Black - June 12, 2009 07:26 PM (GMT)
Emma Watson... She's 18 now :P

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 07:45 PM (GMT)
19 Her birthday's 3 days before mine.
It's like faith. :P

Anyone remember the guy's Emma Watson fan club we had on here for awhile?
We should definetly bring that back. :shifty:

Shawn Black - June 12, 2009 07:52 PM (GMT)
Yeah we should... lol

yeah i forgot she's our age, not a year younger... hmm...

ROADTRIP? (wherever emma watson lives?) hahahaha

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 08:00 PM (GMT)
Roadtrip across the ocean? Works for me. :D
I'm pretty sure she's working on the last film right about now.

Shawn Black - June 12, 2009 08:02 PM (GMT)
all we need is to get one of those floating cars? :P

we can get there in a year... hahahaha

LadyStar - June 12, 2009 10:11 PM (GMT)
I went for Luna and Tonks too. I need more of those two xD

James - June 12, 2009 11:41 PM (GMT)
Yes, Tonks did not get her justice.

And I don't remember the Emma Watson fan club. Personally I don't think she's that hot nor is she a good actress. Her eyebrows go crazy when she talks and it bugs the crap out of me. <_<

I wish I saw them when I was in London....*sigh*

Sirius_Black - June 12, 2009 11:55 PM (GMT)
She is an attactive(+3) British(+3) actress, our age(+1), down to earth(+2), and has stated on several accounts that hockey is her favorite sport(+5).

Hockey chick? Hech yeah.
Plus her laugh isn't horrible. :P

I like to be funny. The laugh that follows has to be standable for me.

James - June 13, 2009 12:11 AM (GMT)
She's unattractive, but alright. :D But the rest I agree with. Although I don't love British accents as much as I used to, haha. I'm used to them now.

LadyStar - June 13, 2009 12:34 AM (GMT)
hahaha what a rating method xD

I find her ok. Not great and not bad. I just stopped seeing her as Hermione when they started making her all pretty before the ball :/

Sirius_Black - June 13, 2009 12:40 AM (GMT)
Whatever. :D I'll just be ignoring the unattractive part.

Haha. I was looking through old, old topics, looking for the watson club thing, and ended up finding a topic of several guy members(including me), debating with Kerry on the hotness of Emma.

Kerry vs. Me, Timothy, Shawn, Eric, Andre, ect.

And yeah. That did bother me abit too Marie. Too early for the "transformation".

Shawn Black - June 13, 2009 06:35 AM (GMT)
honestly, my cousin is going to oxford this summer, and i will be visiting her... and kind've maybe trying to find emma watson, but uhh she's gorgeous, idc if she's un-hermione like in tht way, idc... haha. she's hot, and our age, and every point ricky said is valid!!!

Ice Hockey or Grass Hockey? Coz if its grass hockey she might not be interested in any of you :P

(and before anyone goes off at me I love grass hockey too...just making fun of the stereotypes. lol)

Sirius_Black - June 14, 2009 03:24 AM (GMT)
..... :P Grass hockey.
Haha. It's still a chance I'm willing to take.

First off...grass hockey? I call it Field Hockey...haha. ^_^

Shawn: OXFORD? LUCKY! You can see the castle they use for Hogwarts there! I wasn't allowed to leave London when I went to England. :(
But then again, if she's filming the movie, she wouldn't be in Oxford unless they're filming the final epic Hogwarts Battle, which I HIGHLY doubt because I don't think they've even started filming DH yet, have they?

And Ricky, where the hell are you looking at these old threads? Have you made an archive or something?

Shawn Black - June 14, 2009 04:30 AM (GMT)
Grass hockey? i used to play ice hockey.. best in the league a while ago... wasn't a game i didnt score atleast 3 goals, and skate circles around the other teams... :P

Sirius_Black - June 14, 2009 04:51 AM (GMT)
James: I just used the internet 'Wayback Machine' website. It's like the library for all available websites, and includes our forum since the beginning.

Yeah, I call it field hockey, as well. And yeah, I played ice as well, though as a defender. I have a sort of natural, raw talent for defense in any sport, so playing hockey was kinda a breeze.

Mostly because of my crazy, unlimited stamina, and speed. ADHD at its best. :P
Being able to analyze people quickly helped as well.

James - June 14, 2009 05:56 AM (GMT)
Holy shit! *runs to wayback machine*

I've never played any form of Hockey. :D I've played football (american) and I LOATH the sport.

I prefer to stick with music. *looks at violin and guitar*

Sirius_Black - June 14, 2009 06:00 AM (GMT)
Haha. Note it doesn't have every topic recorded, but it doest have alot. The site notes every major change of the websites it holds. (layouts, coding, ownership, ect.)

Isn't the internet simply awesome? :D

James - June 14, 2009 06:04 AM (GMT)
I think, due to this sudden revelation, I've fallen in love with the internet all over again. :D

But let's remain on topic! haha, we must enforce that, Ricky. :P

What I'm really worried about, in terms of actors->characters, is that they maintain the actors. Already, we've seen the actors/actresses for characters change throughout the movie.

-Angelina Johnson (she changed after three)
-Katie Bell (looks WAY different in the HPB preview than she did in HP 1-3)
-Pansy Parkinson

I know they're not that important, but it's little details that bug me. I really hope they have Sean Biggerstaff back in DH just for his five seconds of Oliver Wood. :D

EDIT: I love how I didn't list any male actor changes...

Sirius_Black - June 14, 2009 06:23 AM (GMT)
When has the internet not been relevant to anything that goes on around here? :P

Fine, fine my fellow headmaster.
Back on topic we go.

Lici - June 14, 2009 10:53 AM (GMT)
lol...sorry, we don't really play ice hockey in australia so hockey is hockey...i couldn't remember what field hockey was called.

James - June 15, 2009 02:01 AM (GMT)
Lol, it's okay Lici. :D

Shawn Black - June 15, 2009 06:00 AM (GMT)
all i know is the movie looks awesome, and i'm kinda scared to see how jim broadbent as slughorn... he might act perfectly, don't know, but its not as i pictured him...

James - June 15, 2009 06:10 AM (GMT)
I'm worried about the movie in general because it has a PG rating. Half-Blood Prince is the second darkest book in the series. If Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix had PG-13 ratings, and were less dark books than Prince, that scares me.

Shawn Black - June 15, 2009 06:22 AM (GMT)
I'm totally not worried about the rating. it's been how long since OotP? 2 years? Pg has changed alot since OotP. the concern isn't as big as it used to be about censorship. yah know?

James - June 15, 2009 06:27 AM (GMT)
I s'pose that's true.

But I'm really worried they're gonna rearrange stuff to make it shorter. We've seen this happen in both GoF and OotP.

In GoF, Dobby is supposed to give Harry the Gillyweed, instead Neville does.

In OotP, Dobby is supposed to inform Harry of the Room of Requirement. Marietta, the SNEAK, is supposed to rat out the DA, not Cho.

I really don't like this! I know it saves money and time, but it dilutes the effectiveness of the magical experience in the movies.

I have a theory that they're going to skip the first two chapters of the book.

Shawn Black - June 15, 2009 07:03 PM (GMT)
No. they're not. because they wouldn't have casted a narcissa if they're going to skip the 2nd chapter, not too sure about the 1st chapter, even though by the trailers they show the bridge collapsing...

James - June 17, 2009 07:00 AM (GMT)
Haha, I didn't even know they casted a Narcissa. Oh well. Yes, I'm particularly excited about the bridge seen, they make it look really cool. Then again, the way it snaps isn't supposed to be that noticeable. It's supposed to be like "wabam" and then the muggles are like "wtf?" haha.

Shawn Black - June 17, 2009 08:26 PM (GMT)
they only talk about the bridge in the book. :P i just wanna see who plays rufus scrimgeour. he may look as badass as i picture him.. haha

James - June 18, 2009 07:14 PM (GMT)
Yeah, they talk about it, but the muggles are completely bewildered about how it broke. The movie shows giant, billowing clouds that are actually death eaters snapping the bridge. :P

Haha, I picture Scrimegeour the same as Joe portrayed him; a walking lion, haha. He doesn't seem that badass to me; I don't like him.
