Title: Sorting characters from TV shows
Description: What might the Sorting Hat Do?
McDeans - April 22, 2009 06:04 PM (GMT)
What if we(actually the Sorting Hat) can sort characters from TV shows in Houses at Hogwarts? It might be interesting. The characters can be from the older TV shows and newer TV shows.
Give the name of the character, TV show, and where the Sorting Hat might place the character. If you are willing, give a reason why that Character was placed in that particular House.
For example, Mr. Spock from the TV show Star Trek might be placed in Ravenclaw by the Sorting Hat.
Although he is brave and loyal, Spock stressed the importance of Logic in making decisions.Hopefully this is an interesting topic to continue.
Here is the theme song on YouTube.

Lisa from the Simpsons I believe would be placed in Gryffindor by the sorting hat. Ravenclaw usually gets the bookworms but she is very adventurous, fighting on the good side hence the reason I think Gryffindor. I also see a great resemblance between Hermione and Lisa.

Don't get me started:
LOST
Hurley: Hurley would be placed into Gryffindor, because he has a heart of gold. He cares about everyone around him- he has valor, and would do anything to protect his friends.
John Locke: John would most likely be in Hufflepuff. He values hard work, discipline, loyalty. He'd never betray anyone. He's always looking for the best interests in everyone. He's Dumbledore, basically. haha. The ultimate good.
Jack: Ravenclaw, for sure. He values intelligence and scientific reasoning over faith anyday. While John is constantly trying to convince him that the island is a mysterious and non-normative place, Jack continues to argue that it's just an island.
Kate: While she has a good heart, I'm going to say she'd probably be placed in Slytherin. She's dishonest and always on the run. She means well, but she's very resourceful and ambitious- she knows what she wants and she'll do anything to get it.
Juliet: A Ravenclaw all the way. She's a very intelligent woman, she's curious about everything around her. Her knowledge in the medical field has helped many people on the island. She speaks Latin, etc. She's witty, sarcastic, and she provides insight for the losties that nobody else can give them [in regards to the Others].
Ben: A Slytherin if I ever saw one. Sneaky, snake-like, only cares about what he wants. He sacrificed his own daughter just so he wouldn't be captured and removed from the island, he only cares about power. He doesn't care who gets in the way, he just wants to be on top. You could compare him to Voldemort.
Sayiid: Sayiid is a true Gryffindor. He's killed, but only to protect his loved ones. He's tortured, but he didn't want to- he was forced to. He's risked himself several times for the well-being of others. While he has a dark exterior, he is a true hero. Couragious, strong- he's a great leader.
Sawyer: Sawyer is difficult. He's revealed several different personalities. He's been soft and nice, but he's also been a conman. It's hard to say who he really is. When it comes down to it, however, he's always looking out for himself. I'm going to say that he would probably be in Ravenclaw. He may sound dumb, but he has more street smarts than anyone on the island. He's witty, and can come up with the most creative lie you've ever heard.
Sun: Sun is strong, smart, and knows what she wants. She loves her husband, and would never do anything to betray him. She's shown characteristics of being selfish, but- she has learned from her mistakes. I believe that she would be best suited for Ravenclaw. She has interrogated, used her wit to bring out the true colors of the other members of the island. Especially now, since she's under the impression that Jin is dead, she's deadly.
Jin: Jin has always been, and always will be, in love with Sun. She is his primary concern. He believes in the goodness of man, and he has been taken advantage of due to his lack of speaking English. He still, however, trusts people blindly. When Juliet told Jin that Sun had cheated on him, he did not question it- he simply took it as fact. Jin would be best suited for Gryffindor.
Desmond: Poor Desmond. 'The island isn't finished with you yet.' That was the last he'd heard from anyone having to do with the island, after he'd already dedicated more than three years of his life to serving it by pushing a button! The love of his life Penny, and his new son is the most important thing to him. I will place Desmond in Gryffindor, for his love of humanity and people.
Daniel Faraday: Ravenclaw. Always doing some scientific experiment. Alawys conducting some test, or some hypothesis. He's very intelligent, and although he doesn't appear to make sense, he truly knows what he's talking about.
Miles: Slytherin. He's snakelike, edgy, constantly aggressive, always cracking a joke about someone, and is greedy to boot. He can hear dead people talk too. Tell me that's not dark?

hahaha.
^_^ I went overboard on this.

Oh, I forgot a couple people. haha. Still on LOST, btw.
Charlie: Charlie would be the ultimate Gryffindor. He literally sacrificed himself for the well-being of the other members on the island. Gave his life up, just so Claire and her son Aaron could hopefully leave the island. He truly cared about those who befriended him on the island.
Claire: Claire would most likely be placed into Hufflepuff. She cares for everyone around her, and would sacrifice herself for Aaron any day. While she is missing right now, she still remains a prevalent figure on the island. She is loyal, and loved Charlie with everything. She was always being rescued, however, otherwise- she would have been placed in Gryffindor.
Mr. Echo: If it's possible, I'd say he go in Slytherin, then in mid-term, switch to Gryffindor. He was once a dangerous drug-dealer/militant in Africa, then turned good once his brother was victimized. He became a priest, and believed in the greater good of all people. He had great faith.
Richard: Richard is the Minister of Magic. End of story. hahaha.

I LOVE Richard. (I call him eyeliner man, hehe)
He is definatly the head honcho.
Libby would be in Hufflepuff in my opinion.
Chocolat64 - April 26, 2009 12:24 AM (GMT)
haha, I know! Richard is amazing. Sawyer even referred to him as the 'eyeliner dude.' ^_^
Nahhh, I totally have a theory about him.
I refuse to reveal it. Those closest to me in my LOST circle know it, and if I turn out to be right, then I'm a genius and a prodigy amongst TV watchers. I made this prediction in the 2nd season.
I didn't get into the first and second season people. I was going to do Ana Lucia and whatnot, but- myeah. Screw that. I just did the mains.

I have watched a few episodes of the classic B&W TV show 'The Addams Family"--you may heard the tune to the show. You can find the tune to it on YouTube. I did a brief look at google too on that show. I 've not seen all the shows. I am renting it now on Blockbuster.com---it is a really funny sitcom with a catchy tune.
+++
Gomez Addams--- At first, the whole family could be placed in Slyterthin-almost.
Ironically, they do have a pet lion. It could almost place them all in Gryffindor since that is the symbol for Gryffindor. Even the whole family is semi-Gothic and fascinated with death-related items, he has a childlike enthusiasm about life. Even losing money in the stock market doesn't faze him. He loves his kids and his wife tenderly. He can be a Hufflepuff.
Morinica Addams--Sorry, I can't spell her name. She seems like an elegant and almost aristocratic. Yet she is kind. Yet her having a pet man-eating plant is daring.
Still she seem to be the most knowledgable of what to do.. She is Slyterthin....but not evil.
Uncle Fester Addam-- Not very smart and loves explosive items. Even though he is likable...I would say Slytherin
Wednesday Addams-- Even though a young girl, she knows judo and loves spiders..hard to say--Slytherin but not evil
Pudgy Addams(sp?)-- Wednesday's older brother--intelligent, know how to invent...Ravenclaw
Grandmama Addams---Hard to say..I've not seen much of her--TBA--but I lean toward Slytherin.. She is her own person.
Lurch-- Brave and Strong and Loyal Butler/Servant to the family...I dare say Gryffindor
I could try 'THING' and Cousin ITT but I can't place them in one yet.
Have anyone else seen the DVD of that TV show. I know that there were a few movies made on it. But I am talking about the TV show.
James - April 29, 2009 01:46 AM (GMT)
Oh jeez, Britt. Calm down. ^_^
Well....Adrian Monk would be in Hufflepuff, I think. There's my contribution. :D

Yeah, I did kinda go overboard, didn't I?
haha.

This is from an old movie and an old musical that I have seen some years ago. I finally rented the DVD 'Man of La Mancha' last year just to see it again and to hear the song 'The Impossible Dream'.
For those who remember the character Don Quixote, the half-crazy man who thought that he was a knight-errand, was the leading character. I had a hard time deciding where to place him. He was brave, but almost foolishly brave at times--i.e. attacking windmills. He could be in Gryffindor for that reason. But he was also ambitious and was dedicated to his Quest...He could have been in Slytherin.
His squire, Sancho, was much easier to place. Although he was fairly brave himself and easily tolerated Don Quixote's eccentric behavior, he was his loyal friend....and for that reason, I would think the hat would have placed him in HufflePuff.
