haha i have watched every episode since day 1 and after every single episode i go " WHATTTTT" its so complicated and confusing and i just wanna know if ben is good or bad haha.

The most recent one was a doozy. lol.
So, Richard Alpert is an Egyptian King. I swear. It just makes sense.
The Temple is a scary place.

My guess is that the Smoke Monster is a protective mechanism for the island. The physical protection [i.e - removing unneeded losties, course correction, etc]. I believe that the communicative/human form is Richard Alpert. He's been around for as long as anyone can remember. I think he's the negotiator, the one who directs the monster where to go and what to do. He answers to nobody- and only cares for the good of the island. Whatever will help the island, that's what Richard will do.
I'm so stoked about next week's episode. It's supposed to be all about the Temple. w00t!
