Title: The Future of Beyblade Spirit Forums.

Kai-V - July 5, 2009 03:51 PM (GMT)
As can obviously be observed, Beyblade Spirit Forums are barely alive.

I persist in wanting to give this site a message board though. Even if the World Beyblade Organization is a very good board (as a matter of fact) and that I will never discourage anybody to join it, I believe forums for Beyblade Spirit would still be needed for the website to be more of a website, and not just a representation of this : "Here is the information; take it, leave, do not discuss it." I want to support the idea that we can allow visitors to express themselves on different matters.
Members could be redirected to the World Beyblade Organization at any time; I do not mind at all.

There are a few options for forums at the moment :

- Keep the present adress.
Advantages : Seeing forums filled with topics could make guests believe that they are active ... if that is an advantage.
Disadvantages : Would seriously need a new layout. Topics are far from being active, 99% of the members already registered would not come back, etc.

- Upgrade this present adress to ZetaBoards.
Advantages : A better look, better functionality, slightly more features, + topics that make the forums seem alive ...
Disadvantages : Refer to the first option.
However, since I am not the root-admin here, I cannot do this. I would need Kyle, the previous webmaster, to convert the board himself ...

- Make a new, ZetaBoards message board.
Advantages : A fresh start. ZetaBoards' features.
Disadvantages : Empty forums ...

- Make a new MyBB message board, hosted on Cyber Tiger Anime.
Advantages : Anything, really.
Disadvantages : While it is true that Beyblade Spirit now has the capacity to expand by approximately 72% of what it already is, I would not want to exceed the space limit again, or have to delete the board because of that. That is only if we somehow managed to lure many members here who would create a lot of topics and posts, etc.

Let me know what you think.

Beyblade Spirit Forums might turn out to be quite unsuccessful whatever I do, but I still want this message board to be open, especially with Beyblade : Metal Fusion coming next year.

Hmmm.

All of the options are good, more than likely the WBO will still be more active regardless. i'm up for any of them cause they all seem equal to me. I really think they will become active again as Metal Fusion draws near.

I'm not really into Beyblade anymore myself, but I still want to see this place keep going. It's nice to see the forum still thriving.

I think just staying at the current address is good. Maybe send out a mass email to all the members? There's still a chance of getting a hold of some of them and hopefully reminding them of this place.

Like you said, the topics make it seem like this forum is active, but most of these topics are 4 or 5 years old already. Personally, I think it'd be cool if they stayed for sentimental value and they serve as windows to Beyblade Spirit's history.

I know it's been ages since I've posted here, but if you want me to fill Kyle in on what's going on here, then I will be more than happy to do so.

Hm...would this account regain root CP controllability if it was made admin again?

Wow...
I'm kind of surprised that this place is still alive (well kind of !)

Kai-V, go with what you think is best. I'll try to be on here as much as I can. But if you want my opinion, a new mybb forum sounds good. I'll try to create good discussion topics.
