Title: Metal Fight Beyblade.
Kai-V - June 30, 2008 02:48 PM (GMT)
On August 9th, TAKARA-TOMY will start releasing a new series of beyblade, called
Metal Fight Beyblade. These new blades' Wheels are made completly out of metal, which is why the designers removed the Weight Disk. The anatomy of the MFB beyblades is therefore as follows :
Face (Bit Protecter equivalent)
Wheel (heavier 'Attack Ring')
Track (like an 'Engine Gear')
Bottom (tip of the blade)
(For a better comprehension, you can visit
Beyblade Spirit's page.)
New parts are incompatible with either plastic and HMS parts.
Four starter sets will be released on August 9th 2008 :
Pegasus,
Cheiron/Sagittario,
Bull and
Leo(ne). On September 18th,
Wolf will also be available and TAKARA-TOMY will officially continue releasing other beyblades in November.
The four types of blades are now Attack, Stamina, Balance and Defense, each corresponding to the first four beyblades listed above. Stamina is similar to Endurance.
Some beyblades come with a Beypointer, which only serves to record a player's wins and losses. TAKARA-TOMY invented an arcade kind of machine for convention purposes, and the Beypointer is used to remember how many points were won during the games.
The machine works the following way : an opposing beyblade (Cheiron) is fixed to the red bottom of the stadium. This floor can be rotated by pushing the buttons on the machine. First, a person must make the beyblade spin by pressing one button though. Then, they launch their own blade and somehow try to earn points. If you reach a certain amount of points, you can win some Beyblade parts.

An
anime and manga are already being produced. The anime is scheduled for broadcast in Japan at the beginning of January 2009. The manga should most probably be published in CoroCoro magazines before that date.
Characters in this new season will almost certainly be different to the previous cast shown in the first three seasons. This new anime is going to be
street-oriented.
TAKARA-TOMY is planning to sell the new Metal Fight Beyblade worldwide in 2010, so the dubbing of the show and manga is going to be done in that same year.
You can discuss the new series here. If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them right away.
Additional information will be posted in this topic.
Kai Hiwatari - July 1, 2008 06:29 PM (GMT)
So, is it a completely new cast, none of the old characters?
Have you heard of any new stadiums?
Kai-V - July 1, 2008 07:06 PM (GMT)
It is not confirmed yet, but it is very probable that the old characters will not appear in the new series. Otherwise, I think we would know of new Dragoons, Dranzers, etc.
Two stadiums will be released on August 9th : an Attack-type stadium and a Balance-type one. Essentially, I think they are the same as the previous beystadiums, simply made of tougher plastic.
Tamer Brad - July 1, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
Kai-V, AFAIK only one of them is coming out August 9

Well, I'm not expecting much from it. Not sure if it could be any worse than the PS1 game haha
Kuznetsov - July 9, 2008 09:31 PM (GMT)
Where did you get the product dimension information from?

Do you know anything else about it, like what kind of game it'll be? A platform game or a game with a storyline? Is there a multiplayer mode and are they intending to release a game for the Wii?

No more information has been revealed yet.
In my opinion, it will be like the previous Beyblade games ...

I am personally hoping it will have both the features from V-force for the Gamecube, and have the explorable levels like G-Revolution for the GBA had, but i don't want random songs for each area you go to like in G-Rev because that got annoying after awhile. =/
Kai Hiwatari - July 10, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
Will sites such as Ideal808 carry them when they come out, because I will def order one of each if so, Plus a stadium.

Yes I just checked earlier and ideal808 is already allowing pre-orders of them. Though I will most likely be getting mine from Toywiz, ideal808 looks like a good place to get them as well! =P
Kai-V - July 10, 2008 11:11 PM (GMT)
Ideal, Toywiz and theINtoy are taking pre-orders right now.

Tamer Brad - July 11, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
Ideal is already taking orders, but they are price gouging which is why Beywiki has refused to work with them. Toywiz's prices are cheaper. If you really want to get them for a good price, you should use Mail Order Japan:

Kai Hiwatari - July 11, 2008 07:18 PM (GMT)
I think i'm going to get 2 starters, then the other 2 non-starters then a stadium. I think its like 75 without shipping and handeling.

Note : Somebody at TAKARA-TOMY must have made a mistake. These measures have to be in inches : 3.2 inches = 81.28 mm. This makes more sense.

I know. 32mm does not make much sense either though ...

Are there another differences between booster and starter version?
Kai-V - July 16, 2008 04:07 PM (GMT)
It is important to note that boosters have another blade's Track and Bottom instead.
With Leone (booster) comes Pegasus' Track and Bottom, but Leone's Face and Wheel.

http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/beyblade/whf_01.htmlBasically, there will be other events in Japanese hobby shops and they list the regions that will get a GANGAN Stadium.
Only kids who would go to elementary school can participate to those events.

Yes, these four beyblades are part of a "Horoscope Series", along with Wolf.
I doubt it is a "Japanese inspiration" ... They most probably used the constellations for this.

Kai-V - July 18, 2008 01:39 AM (GMT)
Amazon.co.jp, out of many, for Pegasus, Bull, etc.
As for using them, beside the fact that they changed Pegasus's Wheel design, previous pictures were good too ...
The Libra picture comes from FPARA. I already edited the Beywiki article, so I would be tempted to use this smiley : ;)

Same here. Who knows when we would have got the information on Libra and such if you hadn't found it.

I kept checking Fpara, but for some reason nothing new was showing up. I think it has to do with the link I have, because as soon as I searched ベイブレード it showed up. :S
