That was a demo showing the PS3's abilities. Not an actual game.

Its a tech demo. And thats it.

Damnit, should of read it through properly ..Thanks anyway.

Can't wait for the OAV though.

Edit ;

Further news, it's still a possibility, but nothing too soon.

I really was hoping for a remake... That would've been awesome. Though I can't wait for the OAV.

Just to clear a few things out... The OAV will be only on the ultimate edition of the Advent Children DVD, coming out in September. Unless you intend on pre-ordering it or downloading the OAV, the chances of seeing it are very slim.

Though, I think if the demo is popular enough, Square might make a full version, actually remake. I mean, it'd do really well, with all of FFVII's fans and Final Fantasy fans in general. There is potential.

I hope they remake it for ps2, cause it will be a long time after teh ps3 comes out until I get it.

Instead of remaking an old game that is already a proven classic, Square Enix should focus on making something new and original. But these days people just want to see fancy graphics and in many cases, and perhaps most, the aspect of gameplay is forgotten...

Yeah, but making the game look a lot cleaner along with the storyline makes the game as a whole a lot better than what it used to be. Like, maybe it won't give that "FFVII Feel" without the chibi-style characters with not a lot of detail to them.

Ever since news of Advent Children went around people have been wondering about an actual playable sequel or remake. Anyone who's played FFVII and likes it, likes it for the storyline. It'd just be nice to see a really good game put into fine form.

SE stated that if Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus are successful, then a remake will be considered. If it's made, it's definately on the PS3 to cash in on the new console and to try to push it to its limits.

Slightly off topic ;

I heard the Playstation 3 may not make Playstation 1 disc compatible with its console ..If thats true then that sucks.

I think a remake of Final Fantasy VII would ruin it. It wouldn't be the same, and they will have lost the feel. Just don't touch it.

GuardianX - August 23, 2005 04:58 AM (GMT)
I guess some of that would be true. FFVII has it's dark moments, but at the Gold Saucer it's like... really... I don't know. I can't see Cloud doing that play with Aeris or whomever.

But it's so hard to tell who's saying what and who's doing what... I guess the demo would be able to tell us or hint to us what the remake would be like. Telling from the pictures I saw, it looks a lot darker and Cloud's a lot more badass. If there were to be a remake, it probably might not be any different than the FMVs on the game itself... Just more detailed.
