Title: The Future Of Beyblade
Takao X - June 26, 2005 11:51 PM (GMT)
I don't really know but I hope more tournaments are held.
Zer0 KamiKazi - June 27, 2005 12:20 AM (GMT)
Obviously, people will stop liking it.People grow tired of things once the populairity die down a bit.It will probably go just like Pokemon did.But I'm with Beyblade all the way,if Hasbro's lazy butt would get off of thier confortable chairs and advertise it and hold a Beyblade League like Yu-Gi-Oh does and have more tourneys then maybe it would prolong it's life much longer.
Takao X - June 27, 2005 01:12 AM (GMT)
I wish someone like Tamer Brad would Protest like they did in Project respect..,..
Kuznetsov - June 27, 2005 04:03 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure there will not be any more official tournaments, outside of Japan anyway. It will be B-Daman that takes over.
It's ironic... in the show, BEGA took over the BBA, now I see it as D-Daman taking over Beyblade in real life, except I don't see it ending the way it did in the anime.
There are shows like Sailor Moon and the Dragonball/Z/GT sagas that just keep going, but they had more series.
Beyblade may get popular if they did another series. I've never been involved with an anime to the point of its interest dying while I'm still interested, so I don't know what will happen with this one.
As long as some people are still willing to discuss it, it shouldn't matter what the majority think.

Um...B-Daman isn't actually doing so well. If it were, We'd see kids wondering around in town with B-Daman crap & more fan sites. I've only seen one fan site (well, a Forum actually) and NO B-daman in shops anywhere.
Zer0 KamiKazi - June 27, 2005 10:32 PM (GMT)
I hope B-Daman sells poorly then maybe Hasbro will do more stuff with Beyblade like ADVERTISING for once, ive only seen a few commercials and the last one I saw was like a few months ago.Knowing Hasbro they probably wont do anything to revive Beyblade.....

Wasn't that how it was with the beginning of Beyblade though? I remember not being able to get the tops for a while, maybe that was just the UK though.
Planeshift - June 28, 2005 10:19 PM (GMT)
I'd say Beyblade has no future.
Kai-V - June 29, 2005 02:17 PM (GMT)
I think there is a B-Daman tournament on Weird on Wheels, and they are also starting to sell and advertise the toys.
I plan that, in one or two years, or perhaps even more, people will remember the 'never-ending' interest they had in Beyblade. Slowly, fansites/forums are going to come back. Some fans will pop up again ...
This is not a certain theory, but it's happening with Digimon ...
Plus, there are 85% chances that everyone will give up IF we continue saying AND believing that Beyblade will die, fade away, completly collapse into space ...

what a speech *claps*
I hope that happens, because their are no tournaments at the moment and I have never been to one.

Yes, exactly. I'm tired of hearing people say things like that, if you loose interest, hanging around people who do and saying it will die it a complete waste of everyone's time and doesn't help at all. People aren't going to stop it though, I chose to ignore it, it's the best option.
The more people speak out to say they are still interested and want it to have a future the better. There may be more people than first thought who still like it. Most of them aren't saying anything/doing anything about and if they continue to listen to those that
want it to die it won't get anyone anywhere.
It's just like any other anime, it happens all the time, it gets popular then starts to decrease in popularity. There are still fans out there however that haven't seen all the episodes or are just getting into the anime, as far as I know, the Phillipines haven't seen G Revolution yet, I don't know if it will be aired there.
B-Daman has attracted a younger audience, children under 12 are probably the majority of the viewers, since Beyblade had a much wider and larger audience and more products the fansites and interest spread from there.
Some info
here, B-Daman will be part of the Weird on Wheels tour this summer.
.::MAX::. - July 5, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
People will stop liking it. It's already happen very rapidly.
Liger - July 6, 2005 03:19 AM (GMT)
GuardianX - July 6, 2005 03:37 AM (GMT)
Well, like I said six years ago about Pokemon: "It'll never die. In Japan it's been going on for 4+ years and is still popular."
Eventually I grew out of it. My toys and cards were stored away. Though I still found interest in playing the games, but after 3 days of gameboy Pokemon, it gets kind of boring. Especially once you've been the game... twice... or thrice... heck maybe even fourice (x.0).
The same's probably going to happen with Beyblade. The pause of Beyblade production and the end of the manga and anime doesn't help much either. Sure, reproduction of old Beyblades, ones most of us already have. Even Beholder's getting on with his life, his job and family.
Sorry for sounding like the majority and being pessimistic. I don't do the game much, all this grams and millimeters and stuff... But I still like making Beyblade AMVs and talking about the anime. I would've been long gone though if I never learned how to make AMVs and if I wasn't associated with ZP.
Kai - July 8, 2005 01:44 PM (GMT)
I hope it will be revived.
Maybe when Takara starts the new line of beyblades they will make a new season of the show as well.

That just reminded me... Someone on another board said this:
| QUOTE |
| if you look at D-Rights Japanese page, it says in their curent work list 'new season of beyblade'. Its been there for a while. |
I haven't really investigated it, though it might just mean the B-Daman series following on from Beyblade.
GuardianX - July 8, 2005 09:44 PM (GMT)
I think there is going to be a new season of Beyblade. At least, at one point in my life I remember someone mentioning it. And Zanon sent me a PM at ZP telling me about it.
The negative about a new season, every picture that comes out, anyone and almost everyone will try and make themselves a new avatar with it. Most people will probably take the pics that look like the next 'Kai' and then when they watch the anime, they find out he's not as loner-some as Kai. Heh, wouldn't that be funny. =p Just a theory though.
Kuznetsov - July 8, 2005 09:53 PM (GMT)
People have already started to do that with the character 'Grey' of B-Daman, despite being the loner-type of the series, he's nothing like Kai.
If there was to be a new series, I'd expect it would be with 2nd generation characters like what happened with Digimon. Though, I would prefer it if they continued with the HMS series. Tyson would go on to have Dragoon F and Yuriy would have Wolborg MS etc, then the new product line from there, that would be an ideal continuation in my opinion.

In my opinion if Hasbro sells it, it won't make much money.
Beyblade is honestly dieing right now, I'm not going to day that it isn't. It's mainly becuase of poor advertising and lack of tournamnets.
I still think there hope for Beyblade. I mean even Yu-Gi-Oh! which everyone thought died out is still has popularity. As long as they still some fans there is still slight hope.
A big problem is, without any new blades it will die.
Kuznetsov - July 26, 2005 10:39 AM (GMT)
There is a tournament in the UK coming up, but as you say, no new products won't help. I don't know what Hasbro are planning if anything.
By the way, if there is a come back in a few years, how many people here reckon they will be a part of it...
Raykak - July 26, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
Beyblades dead. There is no resurection. Takara is on to B-Daman and most likely forgot completely about Beyblade. Also B-Daman is a much bigger hit than beyblade was.
Takao X - July 26, 2005 09:58 PM (GMT)

>_> Listen. Theres maybe 10000-100000 people in america that still bey everyday. Also in my local stores B-Daman is being promoted. I actually couldnt find any B-Daman shooters because of how rapidly they sold. Beyblade didnt sell that fast unless it was holiday season.
GuardianX - July 30, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
Well, B-Daman is quite similar to Beyblade, and all the younger kids who are growing up with Beyblade would probably be attracted to B-Daman since in a way, it's similar to Beyblade. And they're still too young to be commited to 'fads' longer than their popularity takes them.
Liger - August 3, 2005 09:06 PM (GMT)
This B-Daman thing looks like a total rip-off. I'm sorry, but honestly I'd rather keep beyblading. Bedachampion? What the hell is that?? A plastic toy that shoots balls!! OH BOY!!11!! .....Yeesh man..
I hope beyblade comes back.

I'll be a part of it for sure. At least... if BeyZP is still standing by then. Ha, it should be for all the work I did. I really hope, if Beyblade ever makes a comeback, that BeyZP will be at the center of the popularity. That'd be really cool.
A new anime is probably the most important. More people watch television than go hunting for newly released Beyblades. So if they see a new Beyblade Anime on tv then there are bound to be new products.
And is all that b-dachampion and stuff like that all from the original? Or is it more sucky dubbing?
Raykak - August 4, 2005 04:02 AM (GMT)
^ Probably dubbing, It was probably like, B-Shooter Champion or something and hasbro dubbed it because it had the word shoot in it :/
GuardianX - August 4, 2005 08:46 AM (GMT)
Well, for those of you who think the future of Beyblade is looking very bleak at the moment, it's about to get even bleaker... OtC is gone... Brad might bring it back or something one day. Probably.
But yeah, right now, it's gone. The forums are closed too.

-crack snap fall- AHHH!! The bottom just fell out!! -holds onto beyblades for dear life-
He better bring it back!! Even though I'm not a big fan of OtC. Most of the bladers are on there. Yeesh.
I know I'll keep beyblading. Every time I get a new blade it gets me more into it again. If they made new blades, yeah there probably would be an uprising (I guess that's the word). I've seen some of the older blades again in a series called BBA Beyblade Champion Series. -shrugs- Who knows...
I don't even know what I'm talking about, don't mind me ^^;
Raykak - August 4, 2005 09:21 PM (GMT)
All hasbro needs to do is place one advertisment for a series of tournaments and beyblade will be back on the spot, however they are smart enough to not waste money on a game that wont be updated.
Liger - August 5, 2005 06:05 AM (GMT)
I've been thinking and pondering and....well yeah lol. Anyways as I was going to say.
I have been thinking about this for a while, what if all of us got together and tried to host tounaments? There could be like a London Tournament, a Northeast Tournament, a West Coast Tournament, etc... I don't know about you guys, but I'd be willing to try it.

Me too, though, we'll need hasbro's permision (I think >.<). But that sounds awesome.
EDIT: What we really need to do is get a tournament in as many different states/countrys as possible.
Yukiya - August 7, 2005 03:53 PM (GMT)
I think it'll be revived somehow, that's why I've kept my site open, hoping people will get back into beyblading and visit more. xD But I decided to open a Kingdom Hearts website in the meantime.
They should make another series of Beyblade and get rid of B-Daman, can't they see all the Beyblade fans hate it? Well, most of them anyway.
OtC, closing?! *Blinks* Wahhh?! *Checks again* Well, Brad says he's bringing everything back now. =D

Someone once said they would go back to making another series of Beyblade after they were done with B-Daman. With the poor ratings of G Revolution in Japan compared with the first series I'm not sure if that would happen.
Then again, Digimon and Pokemon had a lot of series, though I don't know if they had years gaps between them.
Stores still host tournaments I think, though the only one I've heard of around where I live in the UK is theINtoy one, in Manchester or something.

No not Manchester; Liverpool, Edinborough and either Reading or Basingstoke.

Yeah, Liverpool was the one I meant. Basingstoke would be better for me personally though I think it will be Reading.
I don't know if anyone lives in New York here, but the retail store for Toywiz could be convinced to host a Beyblade tournement there, they still do Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments.
http://store.yahoo.com/dragonballzcentral/retstordiran.htmlNot sure about Canada, I haven't been back there for a few years, there was somewhere I heard someone mention that hosted these tournaments, not the YTV Weird on Wheels one though, I suppose they are most involved with B-Daman for all future tournaments as Hasbro are.
It is difficult to organise these things but I guess it could be easier if you do this by getting stores involved, maybe it would bring more players in that used to go to these tourments to get them interested again. I don't know how reluctant they would be to organise some, of course the store itself would have to be one that still sells Beyblades.
Raykak - August 9, 2005 12:35 PM (GMT)
Hasbro isnt intrested in doing any tournaments, exactly why all their competitive games that are meant to be in tournaments collapse.
