I have a suggestion, for now, take out general chit-chat, put in a section for guides on beyblade parts, have someone do that, and then, ad a"Complex Beyblade" section, for stratagies and such. Keep Fan Work.
Put in a little bit more effort in the skin, make Silver Kane produce a layout for you guys, because he is awsome..

What he means is a suggestion to a system similiar to the system on OtC, not just the "regular" Beyblade-section.

There isn't much people here. We don't have anyone really with advanced knowledge of Beyblade that still comes here so that whole new forum would be almost useless. Wait until BBS gets its popularity back up and more people come back.

Good point, but you forgot to mention the lack of people we have here who are asking questions.
There are like a total of 10 active users here. This is awful.
Dragoon X - February 8, 2005 01:54 AM (GMT)
We may not have many active users at the moment, but give it some time, and you will see some changes. If Kai-V can manage a website, I am sure that she can find ways of attracting people to this forum based on the sole purpose of learning about beyhobby. We may not have any advanced bladers here, but in due time, I am sure that we will have plenty in the future. You just have to have patience. I think I have made my point.

I don't really understand this whole "Advance Bladers" thing. I don't think there is such a thing as an "Advanced Blader". Sure, some of us may know more than others, but I don't think we need a whole forum to answer n00bs questions. I do that whenever I can anyways, no matter where the post may be.
And also, Brooklyn, that would cause A LOT of problems, what with us bashing on n00bs. We are trying to attract new members, not bash and scare them away.
This isn't OTC where n00bs get owned all the time, well, at least I don't want it to go that way. I think all members should have an equal opportunity to share their views and opinions and general "Spirit" of beyhobby. Unless, they give us a reason to enforce the rules or correct them. But if we must correct them, it should be in a reasonably kind manner, with as much respect as possible.
Bashing, in my opinion, shouldn't be welcome here whatsoever, no matter who is bashing who. It was this problem that, IMO, caused the downfall of the forums the first couple times. The Mods had too much power and were being downright cruel to lesser members, all the while being encouraged by the main admin, Kyle. But, now that we have a new head admin, I think things around here in need of dire reform. And when I speak the word dire, I mean absolutely dire.
Brooklyn - February 8, 2005 02:23 AM (GMT)
To strong of a word? I meant really, corrected, mostly, but people would bash them though. Anyways. Also, maybe take out RPG topic? For a while just hide it and keep the content in, because it isn't really active =/.

Yes, there would be a lot of bashing, but if we worked hard enough to prevent bashing, I don't think it would become much of a problem, outside of the few members who insist on disobeying the rules.
I agree. The RPG topic isn't really active at all, and the RP's that are still moving (very slowly, I might add), aren't exactly what I would call an astounding RP. I think the entire RP forum needs a cleaning. Leave the few topics that are good, but erase the majority of them. Or delete all topics and start fresh.
Brooklyn - February 8, 2005 02:32 AM (GMT)
I would take out the whole thing alltogether, untill we get more members then put it back in. Same goes for chitchat forum.

I disagree with removing the chit-chat forum. It doesn't raise anyone's post counts and right now its not causing a problem. If something isn't broken, then why fix it?
Brooklyn - February 8, 2005 02:51 AM (GMT)
True, very true, but, BBS has to start attracting more advanced bladers, in turn, they like to talk about complex movement and parts information, such as Royal Roads, situations, how to slow down attackers, and such. And a lot of they really don't like a Chit-Chat forum on "Beyblade" Spirit.

I understand your point, but I don't fully agree.
I know a lot of bladers that are what you would call "Hardcore" (Ex. Composer of Requiems) who know beyblade like the back of their hand and truly have an idea of what they are speaking of would like to remove the Chit-Chat forum.
But, personally, I don't think it creates a problem. If worse comes to worse and we have a Chit-Chat overload like before we can simply "hide" it for a while.

You took the words right out of my mouth Haku. Some of us are trying to learn the concept of beyhobby at the moment, including myself, and even if the Chit Chat area does happen to bother some of us, it does not fully stop them to keep posting in the beyblade and customization areas. But like Haku said, if worse comes to worse, we can "hide" the Chit Chat area for awhile until things get back in order.

Oh and all the whole advanced bladers thing....you can really judge somebody until you'd actaully had a beybattle with them becuase that's just stupid...I mean there are some people who are obviously good but you can just judge everyone like that,

I guess you're right, even tho I am unsure of just why my name is mentioned there... I am barely of any help, but I'll try my best when needed ;)
Kai - February 8, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
I have learned most of my knowledge of Beyhobby from this site and these forums.
When I first started beyblading I wanted to learn as much as I could.I would search the web for new sites everyday and one day I found BeybladeBladeBreakersTeam, and I went to it and learned lots.
I have also learned a lot from other sites like ZeroPositive,Otc,and Damashi, but it seems like I learned most of my knowledge from here and I will do anything I can to help keep BBS up.
With the help of all of us we should be able to put BBS back where it was, maybe even better.
The Chit Chat Section is fine with me because I don't only post there. If we start getting members who want to talk about random stuff in the chit chat section then we will have to hide it for a while, but right now there is no problem with it.

Yeah,your right about that.
This time BBS will be much bigger and the popularity wont be because of Chit Chat.

Yeah, I agree.
But there aren't that many active users at this time, so I don't think there would be a lot of trading going on. Maybe after members start to return this will be added, but for now, I don't think we really need it that bad. Trades can be organized over Instant Messaging programs.
GuardianX - February 13, 2005 03:16 AM (GMT)
Not to be negative or anything... Just trying to speak with logic... If BBS tries to get back to the top, it isn't going to be easy, especially with Takara having pressed the pause button on Beyblade for who knows how long. The fandom can easily decrease with weak diversity of new Beyblades.
Also, forum-wise... The forums can survive easier if there were more discussions and whatnot. Things like Purchase Consultaion can't keep the forums going.
But I like the undying passion for Beyblade that some of you have and share. Hopefully the mainsite can go back up soon with a layout and everything.

Kai-V and I are already hard at work on this. I've been writing content like no tomorrow. I just wish we had some more help.
I agree with you however. I think the fan base of beyblade is going to take a huge hit due to the recent pause of production and the end of the animé and manga.
Not to mention this new "Cross Arms" bull.
But, no matter what happens to the fan base, I'll still be an avid and productive fan. I swear I'm going to be 30 and still playing beyblade.
