The Free Republic of Thracia is happy to announce that its government has reached a Free Zone agreement with the Dominion Of Hisarlik.
The agreement was signed yesterday (july 21, 2003) by the President and was ratified today (July 22, 2003) by the Parliament.

THE GALLIPOLI-PONTINE FREE TRADE ZONE AGREEMENT
This document is the agreement by which the nations of Thracia and Hisarlik jointly administer the Gallipoli penninsula and the Pontine archipelago as free trade zones.
Under the Gallipoli-Pontine Agreement, businesses in the free trade zones pay no taxes on profits, capital gains, inheritance, income, earnings, distributions, gifts, or on imported and exported goods. In addition, import duties and taxes on real estate have been waived.
THE PREFERENTIAL STATUS
The Gallipoli-Pontine Free Zones are segregated from the customs territories of Thracia and Hisarlik, which provides for a duty free access of goods in process;
The merchandise and the services, objects of production, trade or other economic activities in the Zones, imported from abroad into the Gallipoli-Pontine Free Trade Zones with destination for export, are extempted from import duties and export charges;
The import and export of goods in and out of the Gallipoli-Pontine Free Trade Zones can be effected in parts during different periods of time and/or in different lots;
The goods inside the Gallipoli-Pontine Free Trade Zones can be processed and their initial form and appearance can be changed.
No restrictions on repatriation of the profit.
THE STRATEGY
The major objectives of zone development are:
Promoting export and export-oriented productions;
Attracting foreign investments;
Restructuring existing transport directions and cargo flows and creating new ones;
Developing a modern export processing zone.
